In this video I am going to show you 2 things
1. How to easily create a list of sheet names (you may also call it index of sheets)
2. And then how to create a hyperlink for each sheet name
And for this we'll be using a mix of Power Query and Excel Formulas to get it done fast and easy
You can download the excel file here - www.goodly.co.in/hyperlinked-...

FINALLY!! Chandeep - the text was big enough for me to finally understand the hyperlink structure - I kept getting lost in the punctuation!
You are amazing. Thanks for sharing this
Thank you so much, this helped me a lot to link 50+ sheets in one tab.
Glad it helped!
I have a quick question, once this has been created how do I link them if I add more sheets to my existing workbook@@GoodlyChandeep
Sir, This works beautifully thank for thank video
Thank you, Chandeep 😊
Good one.
Thank you.... it helped a lot :)
made my life easy - thank u so much
Glad it helped!
hi ... thx for the tutorial. make the list sheets horizontaly ?
Great trick referring to the same workbook from within the workbook. However, there's a problem with self-connecting to the active workbook saved on OneDrive Business or Sharepoint. Even with the File>Info>Copy Path route. Error says "... in use by another process."
Any solutions guys?
I've just managed to make it work by using the Copy Path and "From Web", paste path (delete all characters after the .xlsx), then I used Organisational Authentication to gain access to the data. Follow the remaining steps from there.
@@whatkellyfoundcheers legend this worked!
Thanks for this one
Glad you like it!
great video Sir...the ones with vba and macros are very messy. this method is much easier to follow
Glad you like it 💚
Hi, thank you so much this is great! I do have a questions. I added sheets at the end but it is not populating; I tried to refresh went back to edit query. The new sheets cannot be seen. Can you please help. thank you
i just using CTRL + G + Enter
great video
Thanks 💚
If I change one of the sheet tab name, the index list won't get update? for example, If I change sheet West to sheet Corner, the index list still has West not Corner. What is the solution to that?
Does this work for longer names of sheets with spaces
Yes it does
This works, but when I change a tab name the hyperlink in the Index/Query page breaks. Refreshing the Query does not update the tab name for me.
Try this: save the file (the workbook) and then refresh all. If it doesn't work, close the file, open it again and then refresh all.
How to update the Index list if the tab order changes?
The tab order should autoupdate!
Date I post My comment - 6-Jul-2024.
I will be Grateful if Someone assists.
I am using a MS365 Version.
I am unable to connect to the same Workbook.
Error message:
"We encountered an error while trying to connect . . . because it is being user by another process."
Thank You!
I can not see get data option .what can I do?
If you are working with Excel 2016, you must have a New Query drop down in the Data Tab
