It will be overwhelming during clinicals so be prepared to take notes. Remember to be assertive. Be helpful. Introduce yourself. Be active. Be part of the team. You might end up just getting hired at your clinical site lol like me. Was hired immediately after graduation because the nurses recognized my worth during clinicals. Always be positive. Dont argue. Dont take things personal and plssss take notes. Goodluck.

Hello - I am in the healthcare IT industry and was wondering if you would be open to discussing preference card systems and features and functionality? We are in the process of building an application to help manage the complexity of preference cards. thanks so much and keep posting these videos - very helpful.

I was wondering if you take the preference card with you then you are getting all the supplies? Like, how do you retain everything you need? 😅

I take the pref card and read it before I do anything. Not all pref cards are good. This is a mgmt issue. That's why taking ur own notes is great. If you wanna be nice, you can tell whoever makes the pref cards to update it for future techs to rely on. I do that so that when I take a day off, my team can count on the next tech to know what my surgeons need. It's by repetition and being resilient to change. Be proactive and pay attention to details during surgery.
