      @@alexious_vip Still nonsense.
      - 'Normal' refers to the _usual size range of a group_ it does not have to extend to superlatives, nor do I make my point in that regard
      So let's examine your comment again, with that correction in mind;
      "No matter what are the conditions, a normal grizzly bear will not grow up as big as a normal Kodiak."
      - perhaps you are unaware of this; all brown bears in mainland N. America are grizzlies, be that interior, coastal or peninsula. Now, 'coastal brown bears' and 'peninsula brown bears' are colloquial terms for those grizzlies populating the Alaskan coastal regions and the Alaskan peninsula. These are the largest grizzly populations of all (in terms of physical size). Their *NORMAL size ranges OVERLAP* the *NORMAL size ranges* of the Kodiak.
      - that is why your comment is incorrect

      "an exceptionally large brown bear of the nominal subspecies"
      - that covers ANY population from any subspecies, so when you state;
      "I was not referring to Alaska's coastal brown bears, whether they are called grizzlies or not.", it's facile to lamely reply with an irrelevance! It was a general statement that can apply to ANY population. It was ME that chose coastal grizzlies of Alaska to make my point, because they are ones for which their NORMAL weight range overlaps the NORMAL weight range of the Kodiak.
      *It's telling that you fail to acknowledge my correction, instead opting for an irrelevant detail instead, as if that is a valid refutation of my correction.

      @@Muslim600-m3w you surmise. Bears are ferocious. Kodiak has enough power to pull the whole cros out of water and crush his skull. Even if bitten the croc cannot simply tear apart the Kodiak not that easy. Yiur thoughts. Size matters. Crocs know very well not to mess with very large and strong animals. They dont care about lions but rhino hipo elephant are out of reach. Kodiak is smaller than these but I say the croc would turn around after first confrontation even a salty and slide into the pond. They quickly flee once they notice it is not working out. Dragging a Kodiak into water? You would have to wait for that to happen. How?
