Boom lmao! It seems like every ubisoft game out there is horribly optimized. On high detail I only get about 50 to 55 In assassin's creed or ghost recon, with my 2070. A 2070 is the equivalent to a 1080. A 1080 Gets 70 FPS in assassin's creed origins on ultra... What the fuck ubisoft and nvidia!?!?

2017: $700 Card = Plays 2017 games at 4K at 60 FPS
2019: $700 Card = Plays 2019 games at 4K at 45 FPS
big facts
Greatest Timeline so truueeeeee
Greatest Timeline Well it is half the games fault, some games are not optimized as others, for example, Warframe is able to run on a windows 98 computer I believe. As the year goes on games get more complex and much harder to run, it isnt because the cards are trash its just games are having higher standards. Lets not forget Ray Tracing only reason why the FPS gets halved, its very complex using RT cores the less you have the less FPS you have.
Because games in 2019 are far better in visuals then 2 years ago? dumbass?
I love 45 fps.

The return on price/performance is always diminishing the higher the tier of GPU you go. 2080 ti introductory price is about $1,100 where as the 2080 is $630. That's nearly twice the cost for only about a 15% average performance gain. The top tier GPU's are always ludicrously priced.

Best thing about the “Super” cards? The incoming Black Friday prices of all the base RTX models, as retailers try to shed old stock.
Good Point!
Between the 2080 with GDDR6 @ 14Gbps and the 2080 SUPER with GDDR6 @ 15.5Gbps there is a 1-3fps difference. Of course more pipelines opened up too. But not worth the difference in cost for the miniscule gain.
Wow! Very promptly! Good work

I think that also recording 4k is affecting the performance so i believe that the cards have better performance without recording on, so anyway nice work though just saying if anyone is questioning.
I have 2 gaming rigs, one with a 2080 Ti and another with a 2080 Super and the difference is really only noticeable to me personally when gaming in 4K on Ultra settings. I have to tweak one or two of the settings to medium or high with the 2080 Super to get it to run buttery smooth but with the 2080Ti I can just max out everything to ULTRA and not even think about it. Its such a monstrously powerful card. But hey the 2080 Super is no slouch either!

Cuurently playing on RTX 2080, Ryzen 2700x. For 1440p it is enough, no reason to pay extra 100$ for 3 FPS if u have around 80 fps in new games on ultra settings. If its 55-60 in weakly optimized games - just turn HBAO off to SSAO, the difference in performance is 20 FPS with no visual difference

from 2010-2020 the difference is really not as big.
I used to upgrade my PC every 3 years to keep up, now i haven't upgraded for like 6 years.

My god theres so many people arguing in the comments about the prices of pcs just buy and old optiplex that has an i5 in it and slap a good graphics card in it like the 1650 super or even higher if youve got the wiggle room and bam youve got 1080p 60+fps gaming for cheaper than $500. And if anyone complains about the pc being used you can buy the optiplex on newegg or amazon for around $250 to $300 new they also usually come pre installed with and ssd. Considering that the xbox one started out at $499 and didnt come with an ssd I think this is a pretty good deal. You also save money cus you dont have to pay for xbox live or playstation plus.
I'd even go so far as to say you can probably run vr with this type of setup just as long as the optiplex you buy has some usb 3.0 ports on it or you can just buy a pcie to usb 3.0 adapter for like 15 to 20 bucks

The biggest culprits of low framerates are Ambient Occlusion, Anti Aliasing, and Multi sampling. It's the first things I keep off in games. On resolutions from 1440p to higher, AA/MS has little to no impact on visuals. AO never looks good and usually makes irregular, smudgy shadows. Far Cry 3 looked atrocious with it on. On my 1060 6GB I can play The Witcher 3, Bioshock Infinite, and Sleeping Dogs DE between 80-100fps in 1440p just by turning off AO and AA. It would make a world of difference if these tests are done without AO and AA.

500$ for 20 fps
I’ll go with 2080 and oc to get more 5-10fps
yeah people that already have the 2080 shouldnt even sweat it. You can reach that performance with a good OC.
Scott Sheehan in my country (the Netherlands) for some reason the RTX 2080 Super is cheaper than the RTX 2080.
CrispySlay3r Do you have any idea why that is? It is not because the 2080 Super performs worse than the 2080 right?
@@milan7167 Be carefull SUPER must be written in capital letters. There are versions of the RTX 2080 which were released with super in their name befor the actual SUPER series released. So Super ≠ SUPER
@@scottsheehan3476 Still kinda bugs me that I bought a 2080 and they fucked me and released a new one
From 40 to 44fps is actually +10%
It's all about using the right words to market it :/
Imagine this setup but 480p low settings 5000fps in any game
$1200 to $500 and $700 to $400.... Man must some people be pissed.
