Me too. I was a fan of this film and now decades later I feel the same way. I was fascinated by Sanada and the martial arts, maybe that's why I learned kung-fu. I'm glad I found this movie, it reminded me of my childhood.

I dont even think the 2 leads are even Chinese lol. I mean Hiroyuki Sanada's character is obviously not Chinese. Ninjas are not a thing in China and Hwang Jang-Lee is Korean but his character is Chinese. Wow Hiroyuki was a very handsome fellow still is now.
We have a budding HK / US acting star doing kung fu, a Japanese star budding in HK doing ninja, karate, and kung fu a bit, and we have a legend from Korea who's a taekwondo grandmaster... bro... the mix is off the hook!

Seeing Tien Feng and Wei Ping-Ao instantly reminded me of _Fist of Fury_ (1972) when I first saw this film after buying the Hong Kong Legends DVD release.

Got a copy of this movie but it was dubbed so difficult to find the name. Lent it to my friend one day(this is when rush hour 3 came out). He called me and told me the bad guy in RH3 looked like the ninja guy and upon searching found that his hunch was right and found the name of this movie.
This was on another level of ninja ish. OMG. They Krushed it with this one. Outstanding collaboration of Stars.
