    I disagree with your approach.
I think it's a trap to make this argument from the perspective of "its not natural or immutable."
Because firstly, that allows for your argument to succumb to new information. What if older studies are shown to be fallacious, or what if new studies show, unequivicably, that there is actually a"gay gene"?
You briefly alluded to acknowledged the correct answer early on: even if it were natural, even if it were immutable, that doesn't make it right.
The entire Christian faith is predicated on the harmatological belief that we are Naturally and Immutably sinful, apart from a Miracle. So this isn't even a hard case to make. "Your homosexual desires are sinful just like my heterosexual desires are/were."
At the core of this issue is how we as Christians define right and wrong, and why we define it that way.
Do we teach our children to abstain from stealing because its "unnatural"? Or to be honest?
No. Then why are we relying on that for sexual morality?
Are people with Kleptomania excused to steal? Of course not. But is the reason that stealing is wrong, simply because the rest of us.. aren't kleptomaniacs? That is the argument you are making when you appeal to natural biology for why homosexuality is wrong. This is the way the majority are, so the deviaton from the majority is "sin."
Clearly this isn't the case. And reminds where our definition of right and wrong come from; the special and general revelations of Moral Law. Deviation from God's design is what makes it sin; and God's design for sexuality isn't simply: if it's heterosexual, it's okay.
When we look at the total picture of God's design for sexuality, there are some follow on questions...
Do we expect non-christians to view marriage as a sacred metaphor for Christ and the Church? Clearly not. So then, why would we expect them to the other details? To Marriage-night consummation, to monogamy, to headship and submission, etc.?
    Finally,
If someone claims to be christian and also be gay, we can dialogue about why i disagree with them, and appeal to Christian sexual morality as a reason to change..
But if someone isn't a Christian, they don't need to be given the gift of heterosexuality, they just need Jesus. Let's not put the Cart before the horse.

These are some great thoughts. Thanks for sharing! Please consider calling in to the broadcast some Tuesday to discuss your thoughts with Greg. He is out for the summer, but would love to hear from you when he returns.

We have all sorts of natural things we're born with that are wrong or bad.

A person who is born violent clearly has a big problem because their behavior is fully antisocial. Somebody, like the caller, who has premarital sex, we have to assume it's with another consenting adult. There is no consequence to society at large unless you believe that society and religion should be one. You could argue that once you accept homosexuality as a way of life, then you're planting the seed for homosexuals to have kids. I could see how some people would have problems with that. But planting the seed or not, that's a different action completely. So I'm not sure how we can equate consenting adults with violence.

Morality is by nature restricting. Natural or unnatural, if you didn't desire to do something there would be no need to regulate it. Morality is all about what it is right to do about our desires.

I think the bigger problem is that we have forgotten about humanism. Every religion should naturally make themselves within a humanistic point of view. People who, perhaps not even gay, but have something about them that is not accepted by their church, fall out of the church and have no moral basis to rely on. If we had made humanism core to religion, they would at least have that humanistic set of beliefs outside the church. And I think it's this fear of, what do I do, that is propelling us to reject behavior as morally reprehensible without a justification of why is it reprehensible beyond just because marriage was meant to be between a man and a woman. There are many things to be meant to be one way and turn out to be a different way.

@@HappyMathDad What do you mean by 'humanism'? There was one meaning in the Late Medieval period (eg. Erasmus of Rotterdam) or Humanism of the 20th century. Or is there some other humanism that you are thinking about?

The fact that I am gay was medically proven during electronic shock therapy. I am proud of who I am as a gay man.

You're so proud of you sin that you're getting your brain shocked for it? How does shocking your brain medically prove this sin? What nonsense.
