Danny's AIR riff wasn't terrible for not playing seriously for however many years. Prime Dan Spitz was probably one of most underrated guitar players in metal
+fearnofish20 Whhoaa u mention Chris Oliva!! Underrated best unknown guitarist hands down!!! all the rockers that have died 80s theyre now in the "Hall of the Mountain king" RIP Criss
Yes, and while Danny is fully capable of shredding, he does so in a very creative way, placing flurries of notes only where they make sense, and add tension to the song, and not just mindless shredding, like many of his thrash contemporaries. This guy is a guitar artist, who has great feel and a great sense of melody in his playing. It's what drew me to him and Anthrax, so many years ago.
@@wizard2755 No doubt. There are whispers about the possibility of him making a return, since Shadow's Fall has reassembled, and folks figure that Jon Donais may follow Jason Bittner's lead, since he has left Overkill to concentrate on Shadow's Fall. We can certainly hope and pray !!!!!! I don't hate Jon, but it's not the same without Danny !!!!!

I´m from the time Anthrax was an alternative band, at least in my country. That was back in 80´s. Thanks Ian for keeping the same guitar player for the last 30 years. Anthrax Rules!!
Danny sweep picks when Scott destroys his wrist for speed. Danny is amazing. Scott is a warrior. Scott is meat and potatoes riffing...and its great, total power
It would be really cool if Scott Ian, Kirk Hammet, Lemmy Kilmister, and Dave Lambardo all grouped up to make one insane metal band. That would be the best combination IMO.
Dan Spitz e Ian INDIANSSSSSSSSSSSS!,iAM THE LAW,Madhouse, goods riffs and solos, Be all, end all,ANTHRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@chidorikakashi Scott actually does use Randall amps now, not sure if thats one of his amps or a stock one he borrowed, but he does play randalls now instead of Marshall..not trying to be a smart ass, just wanted to point that out
Cool but I would say Dan made the right move. He's probably the top watch maker in the world right now. Good to see him find his true passion. A dying art being kept alive by a former anthrax guitarists. He's a next level type of thinker and watch designer and builder. Really interesting guy
Deathrider, Time, Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.), Indians, I Am The Law, Gung-Ho, Madhouse, A.I.R., Metal Thrashing Mad, part from Deathrider played slow, Be All End All
Howdy! I've recently built a TV/Guitar I call the "Guitelevision" and would love some guitarist's feedback. My demo video is called "Guitelevision" (First up if you search it) I'd love to hear some thoughts. Many thanks!
@Hateeternal2009 I can say that is the same intervals progerssion cuz maybe is the same minor scale and is the same key. However in part is the same, just listen to Behemoth version is more longer and include other section of the scale. We should ask both Scott and Nergal where the hell they took that riff.
Did Spitz not play any rhythm tracks on albums? I can find Scott rhythm tracks but not Dan. What I can find are solos sprinkled with a few bits here and there.
It usually works like that on album tracks. You’ll hear the same with Kirk’s isolated guitar tracks. But both lead and rhythm guitarists play the rhythm parts when they play live :D

He also had a severe injury on his wrist. Danny Spitz is one of the most underrated lead guitarists.
Wish Dan would return to Anthrax, he and Scott had a chemistry that very few guitar duos have.

@@wizard2755 he works as a luxury watchmaker now
it sucks that we wont see Dan in Anthrax anymore. He sounds great with Scott
Danthrax
I wish Dan returned to Anthrax. No other lead guitarist fits that band better than he does.
#GregWalls

08.06.2022 and it was great seeing Danny and Scott playing together.
Dan Spitz looks like he's a buff asian jockey
Bruce Lee's guitar teacher who later taught Randy Rhodes and Dimebag

How i love this both!!
watching this filled my eyes with tears.

People are saying that the riff @ 3:06 is Conquer All by Behemoth which is wrong it's Be All End All by Anthrax
man... i love these guys..
¡¡¡¡Dan Spitz!!!! Los mejores solos de Thrash
man..he looks so young, you see james and all the other guys from the 80s thrash metal scene looking like my dad
What personal chemistry!

@5SG9 Almost all the songs in the video are from the album "Among The Living".Except from A.I.R. and Madhouse and a few others
@Rapedbyaclown666
I met him on the last tour and he was super cool. He stuck around and signed stuff for fans WAY longer than he really had to.
Ok,, guys,, please bring back your Mesa's/Marshall's and Jackson's.
LOOOOL Dan´s face at 2:41
@koreny31 its Gung Ho, last track of the album Spreading the Disease

@metalrulez907 This song is "Efilnikufesin" from Among the Living album
@fredsk8x Behemoth took the riff from Anthrax' song 'Be All End All".
@NotoriousYeshi i didnt know. but i still suposse its a borrowed amp i dont think theyd bring there gear just for some guitarworld magazine lesson
@Hateeternal2009 Yeah! that anthax riff is "be all, end all" behemoth proper ripped it off.
Dan when are you going to record again with the band
Me gustaría verlo en su banda, creo que la mejor época de Anthrax fue con este dúo de guitarra.
dios como mola scotty. es la caña.
Dan Spitz was the man. Wished he'd return.
Spitz e Ian era il duo perfetto!
Scott ian fa schifo al cazzo
I wonder what it would take for Dan Spitz to return to Anthrax.

Dan is so cool
3:09 Behemoth - Conquer All
Behemoth ripped off of Anthrax
That PRS guitar absolutely dwarfs Dan. He is one short dude.
he is only 5'1

@KrayzieBoneThug4Lyfe
deathrider.first song from anthrax fistful of steel
@mohawk1020 probably scott is, he plays randall amps
I like Dan Spitz, but i think that Anthrax formation, that they have right now, it's just amazing, Rob Caggiano is amazing!

Scott is the best alternate picker of thrash metal, BY FAR. His tone and precision are unmatchable
@Hateeternal2009 that does sound like behemoth.
