    Hello Ms. Debbie ! You are wise beyond your years, in the past I had noticed that the hominy corn never tasted sweet, it was only the liquid that did. Now I see why! Not a lover of porridges but it looks delicious ! Thanks for sharing ! 🙏🏼🇯🇲🇨🇦

    Thanks for this upload Ms.Debs…… I made this porridge yesterday for the 1st time ever in my life…… I didn’t want to use corn starch or flour like everyone else….. that’s when I came across this video….. And trust mi when I tell u…. I followed every single step in this video and for a person who’s making hominy corn porridge for this 1st time it’s best I ever had 🙏🏾🙏🏾 thanks again

    I have never had this type of porridge 🥣 before and I am going to try this soon. I used to grind up the flaxseed/linseed and put it in everything because the children would not see them. Flaxseed is very good for your brain etc.

    Just like gungo,Hominy corn, you have to boost the flavor......this is how I do it too ms debbs add sugar and spices......love that u use NO FLOUR......I just blend a little of the corn to thicken.
    Love adding superfoods also.....love the flax,ashwaganda and maca powder😋

    I learned something from your channel today... adding the salt and sugar before the corn is cooked inorder for the flavors to absorbed into the corn.

      I'm going to make some this Saturday and i will be using her recipe but i never want to use flour or cornstarch she won me over when used the plain as a thickener❤❤❤❤❤

    Good day Ms.Debbie I can’t wait fi try this recipe with adding the green plantain that looks delicious 😋 That reminds me of a friend’s mother every Friday it was Hominy corn porridge fried dumplings and ackee/ saltfish for dinner that was the best yummy for my tummy I sure do missed those days 👍🏾

    Like the idea of the sugar when you cooking the corn never heard of that before. I will definitely try this tomorrow.
    Can you say if your sweetener is condensed milk should you add it when the flame is off ?

    Thanks Ms Debbie: this makes lots of sense to me to blend the corn with plantain to make the porridge, I'm always saying corn 🌽 porridge with the starches ain't no healthy nutrition

    The last time I saw fresh cinnamon leaves 🍃was in 2014 whilst on holiday
    in the Caribbean.
    This is a must try recipe but will be using manuka honey instead
