Hello Ms. Debbie ! You are wise beyond your years, in the past I had noticed that the hominy corn never tasted sweet, it was only the liquid that did. Now I see why! Not a lover of porridges but it looks delicious ! Thanks for sharing ! 🙏🏼🇯🇲🇨🇦
Thanks for this upload Ms.Debs…… I made this porridge yesterday for the 1st time ever in my life…… I didn’t want to use corn starch or flour like everyone else….. that’s when I came across this video….. And trust mi when I tell u…. I followed every single step in this video and for a person who’s making hominy corn porridge for this 1st time it’s best I ever had 🙏🏾🙏🏾 thanks again
I have never had this type of porridge 🥣 before and I am going to try this soon. I used to grind up the flaxseed/linseed and put it in everything because the children would not see them. Flaxseed is very good for your brain etc.
Debbie you're such a chef's KISS of a cook, the Hominy porridge & green plantains was so good... it was Iike I was waiting for a bowl for myself. Your expertise skills in the KITCHEN has brought you WORLD recognition, on your style of cooking from your Mum's OWN taught methods from childhood.😋 I enjoy ALL your dishes made fr scratch...giving us a step by step teaching, of your personal touch with a clear concise verbal deliverance.😁🌽🍌
Miss Debbie, I love and respect you so much. Thank you for bringing all the Jamaican authentic recipes! I have never made one recipe from your chanel, that I did not love, in fact you have let me change the way I cook. I love porridge, so I am definitely going to do this one. ❤❤
Just like gungo,Hominy corn, you have to boost the flavor......this is how I do it too ms debbs add sugar and spices......love that u use NO FLOUR......I just blend a little of the corn to thicken. Love adding superfoods also.....love the flax, ashwaganda and maca powder😋
Oh my I haven't had hominy porridge is a LONG time! I'm gonna have to make this for this week!! You been busy busy throwing out video after video my dear sister. Bless you for all you do! Hello and love sen to you too Dad. Bless up family much love! 🙏🏽🧡🙏🏽
I learned something from your channel today... adding the salt and sugar before the corn is cooked inorder for the flavors to absorbed into the corn. Thanks!
I'm going to make some this Saturday and i will be using her recipe but i never want to use flour or cornstarch she won me over when used the plain as a thickener❤❤❤❤❤
