Yeah all 5 of my cats were strays that showed up at my front door so i get them spayed and nuetered and all their shots and im like ok lets find you guys homes but then i fell in love with all 5 of them and i couldnt let them go so now theyre just my cats so i failed at fostering 5 times lol

Then, they end up falling in love with the animal and keeping it instead. The only bad part is that some people end up with just enough animals and stop fostering.
‘When I watched her I thought I wish I had that freedom’ really hit me. It’s so true, the lil pup is just trying her best to live her best life while dealt such a bad hand and for us it’s just so easy to only think of the negative things in our lives.
Thank you for putting in the work to get her where she is today. So many people don't want to (or know how to) be proactive when it comes to a special needs animal. It is a delight to see her be able to do zoomies!

I watched another Swimmer's Syndrome puppy named "Starfish" success story on The Dodo dated March 28, 2019, with his owner Maggie. The inspiring video is still on RUclips. What wonderful loving people to care so much and have patience to work with the pups in therapy to bring them to full ability as any normal dog has.
They didn’t know that adopting that little potato would lead to a River running through their yard, but now they couldn’t imagine life any other way. ❤🥰😍🫶🏼❤️
Glad she has a forever home. Have seen many animals with swimmer syndrome the therapy or at least in addition to water therapy was to bind their legs for walking & using the narrow railing to keep the legs together instead of sprawled out to help with the issue but neither of these 2 types of therapy were mentioned
Hi! I’m Rivers mama! Unfortunately we only had just over 3 minutes to tell a years long story, so not all clips we talked about made this clip. We have an Instagram account where we hope to go in to more detail about swimmers syndrome and early ways to address it. Sadly, River was well beyond these solutions when her “breeder” finally relinquished her, so she needed immediate intense PT ❤
Tape the legs together during the day, with periods of relief. Pretty common and not that hard to correct. Takes work and patience. Thanks for helping the little one.
Losing my dogs caused me the most grief I've ever experienced. And like many, I've lost MANY people in my life, including 2 husbands. I think it's because they really are your children, especially when you dont have any human children. I pray you're in heaven together, Eli and Stella! God bless 🕊
River became like a missing puzzle piece in this family as if it was meant to be all along. The foster parents had such big hearts and worked so hard to help her. But the surprising twist was their other dog who was just such a wonderful teacher and coach to little River. This little pup is so loved and so happy but even better, has come so far and grown so strong and healthy. To see her thrive and running strong was such a beautiful thing to see.❣️

You may wish you had that freedom, but you gave her that ability to have that freedom. She had none before. Be proud of what you've accomplished.

We had a Scottish terrier born with this issue and I used stretchy fabric and rubber bands to hold the legs together
