Hope you enjoyed the show!
Gained about a Tri-Delt. I love it. You still the man, Scipio.
Always look forward to your videos. Straight forward. No fillers. No bs off-topic conversation. Keep ‘em coming🫡
I was just talking to my boy this morning about our defense. Everyone is hyping the offense again with no credit to the D.
I’ve always been a defensive guy. My fav teams are always defensive teams, 85’ Bears, 90’s Cowboys No name defense, 2000 Ravens etc. it would be nice to see Texas have a great defense like some of Alabama’s teams
Texas defense has sucked for like the past 10 years.
@@clownster456 as a whole yes. But we’ve had a lot of talent, every program goes through these dry spells. Nebraska, Alabama, Miami, Michigan. The ups and downs of a program.
@@clownster456 Not true at all. Last year was a really good defense in the 2nd half of the season. They finished in the top 30 scoring wise.
@@clownster456 So allowing 30 points in only 2-3 games while holding Bama and TCU to under 3 scores sucks? Ok bud..
Great stuff Homer! Just like the Off. side of the Ball, you & Paul continue to knock it out of the park! 👏👏👏 🤘
Homer is one of the best out there!
Homer got some serious production skills!!!
Will there be a coaching staff breakdown video?
I love these vids. Keep up the work, Homer!
Great content as always 🤘
Great stuff Homer & Paul! Hook’em!!!!
Which defensive position group are you most excited to watch this season?
Defense, as a whole
And everyone said...Edge.
I'm interested to see if PK continues trying out Collins on the edge, where I have always thought he is at his best
Interior
Linebackers and safety’s. But next year the d line
The defensive backs are going to be fun to watch. 🤘
The more we can rotate d linemen, especially during the later half of the game or in really warm weather - the better. Rotate d linemen in continually.
Yeah depth on the interior is crucial to keep those guys fresh late in game
Hook em 🤘🏾 Love the videos, Homer! Keep up the great work.
Appreciate it
Laughed my ass off talking about Jaylon Ford’s production 😂 “and a partridge in a Pear tree”
Listing off our defensive backs gave me LSU talent like vibes. 😮 We could have a very very scary defense this year
D Fence
🤘😤🤘
I feel like Jaray Bledsoe is going to make a pretty big impact as the season progresses, dude is a beast! 🤘
Woa…Bledsoe has tackling skills that are awesome….Mitchell “ baby fridge “ needs to play…Hook em
Bledsoe is a crazy athlete. Hopefully we can find his fit soon and maximize his potential.
Big Uglies up front 🤘🔥💯
Manny wants to bring DBU back to 40 Acres
Did I miss Jaray Bledsoe being covered ?
Yeah we covered Jaray
Paul & Homer covered him around the 5:50 mark...
Damn my fault lol thanks y’all
Dude lost me at Jett Bush being a serviceable backup. The dude is an absolute liability every time he's on the field. He should not be on the field when the game is still I question.
No you’re wrong
Bush got about 150 snaps last year and he was overall graded at 15th of 29 Big 12 LBs (PFF). So he’s right there middle of the pack which I think is acceptable for a 2nd string guy. He’s 3rd overall in run defense, and 23rd in coverage. So I think he averages out to the serviceable requirement. He can let ford relax on some running downs and not be on the field in passing downs. Not great but not horrible. PK likes to rotate guys early to keep the starters fresh in case the game does go to crunch time so you’ll see him out there at times.
@@TexasHomer Check your eyes. He pads his "middle of the pack" stats against the weaker teams and in garbage time. Against decent competition when the game is on the line he is absolutely abused, time and time again the past 3 years. Almost every time he's in the game the opponent scores. If football had a player point +/- when on the field like basketball, his would 100% be the worst on the team by far. He should not be on the field in D1 competition with the game still in question.
I agree with you. With the naked eye we all can see his ineffectiveness. He gets his stats from getting to the pile after tackles. …he is just a similar to the Luke Brockermeyer dude.
@@TexasHomer Thank you
I noticed longhorn fans perception of Busch and Taft… but WE feel if they have to be on the field, then there is no depth. There talent that is light years talented than those guys
Thought they called Derek Williams the Raptor??
