      I’ve always been a defensive guy. My fav teams are always defensive teams, 85’ Bears, 90’s Cowboys No name defense, 2000 Ravens etc. it would be nice to see Texas have a great defense like some of Alabama’s teams

    Dude lost me at Jett Bush being a serviceable backup. The dude is an absolute liability every time he's on the field. He should not be on the field when the game is still I question.

    • @slim-jimmy
      @slim-jimmy Год назад +2

      No you’re wrong

    • @TexasHomer
      @TexasHomer  Год назад +7

      Bush got about 150 snaps last year and he was overall graded at 15th of 29 Big 12 LBs (PFF). So he’s right there middle of the pack which I think is acceptable for a 2nd string guy. He’s 3rd overall in run defense, and 23rd in coverage. So I think he averages out to the serviceable requirement. He can let ford relax on some running downs and not be on the field in passing downs. Not great but not horrible. PK likes to rotate guys early to keep the starters fresh in case the game does go to crunch time so you’ll see him out there at times.

    • @rich0471
      @rich0471 Год назад

      @@TexasHomer Check your eyes. He pads his "middle of the pack" stats against the weaker teams and in garbage time. Against decent competition when the game is on the line he is absolutely abused, time and time again the past 3 years. Almost every time he's in the game the opponent scores. If football had a player point +/- when on the field like basketball, his would 100% be the worst on the team by far. He should not be on the field in D1 competition with the game still in question.

    • @frankjustice8934
      @frankjustice8934 Год назад

      I agree with you. With the naked eye we all can see his ineffectiveness. He gets his stats from getting to the pile after tackles. …he is just a similar to the Luke Brockermeyer dude.
