    Thanks to Brian and William for having me on. I would definitely like to come on the show again and talk more about Forgotten Realms gods. I would like to address the perception that I may have been disinterested or caught off-guard by the guys' energy. I have a stoic and reserved personality and I know it can make a bad first impression at times. I loved being on the show and I knew what type of humour and shenanigans I would encounter. If you find my presentation dry, I can live with that and I would honestly tell you that my show isn't likely to be your cup of tea. Hopefully what information I bring up is still interesting despite how it is presented.

      I honestly don't blame you for the way you're feeling, and I feel as though its not your fault. As a long time watcher of the Dungeoncast, even I have a hard time taking Brian's constant distractions and goofy wordplay as serious content too. As a ttrpg player of about 6 years, something - I'd imagine others like myself would agree - that is hard to deal with is: to talk about fantasy or fictional content without people truly listening or "taking you seriously" when you're trying to talk about it on any intellectual level. It doesn't feel good if you're asking for someone's subjective input or their thoughts on something only to see their eyes glaze over in an attempt to make a joke out of the topic you're trying to put forward. I get that this is a casual space that we can talk about our games and ideas, but we are all here to learn about the game, first and foremost.
      Thank you for coming on, Religion of the Realms,
      Hope to see you on the show again!

    Jergal is doing much more than just trying to resurrect his people
    The timeline the Spellweavers came from, possibly the same one the LaShay and Mindflayers originated from, was erased
    They’re also the ones who first created the obelisks that we see replicas of throughout 5e
    Ed Greenwood has man a lot of cryptic posts about Jergal, and also published Lord of The End of Everything on DMs guild
    I’d love to see a video on Jergal

    Recently just finished a campaign that was set during the time of troubles with a Bhaalspawn as the big bad. Heavily inspired by the lore and a lot of motives and concepts derived from Baldurs Gate 1. Neither me or my players played Baldurs Gate 1 so it was really fun to homebrew it up a bit while still keeping it close to the forgotten realms lore! We all had a blast!

    Y'all need to work with your boy on his presentation skills. I appreciate his interest in the subject matter, but his depth of knowledge did not sound like it warranted an expert status. If he wants to be a recognized authority on FR deities, he needs the direct knowledge of the source material and not just reading wikis. Best of luck to him.

    • @religionintherealms
      @religionintherealms Год назад

      I can tell you that I would never proclaim myself as an expert. Frankly, there are those who are far more read and knowledgeable about the Realms. I am admittedly just a guy who has taken the initiative to create my own show about the gods of the Forgotten Realms. As a result, I have come to know a good deal of information about the gods. Still, I continue to learn about the setting as I go. I have not read much of the novels. But if I need to refer to them for further context in my own research I will do so. Admittedly, William caught me with a few questions on the Moonshae trilogy that I could not answer. At the end of the day, there is a ton of Realms media to consume and I am just one person. I am far more familiar with the sourcebooks. That's where I thrive.
      William and I decided to let him present what he thought was good for their show rather than I be the main presenter. So I gave as much context as I could accordingly. There was far more we could have touched on but the guys aim for a certain length for their episodes and I wanted to respect that. Perhaps if the guys have me on again, maybe we switch it up. If it is worth anything, I put out my own episode on Bhaal over two years ago: ruclips.net/video/O-0OPadqiM8/видео.html
