This piece played a huge role in "Do you like Brahms?". Schumann's Träumerei is really a masterpiece.
I'm also came here because of that drama...
Any thoughts? ruclips.net/video/cIfehExp2_g/видео.html
And the story behind it, makes this piece even better...
Music without words... how soothing ❤
Came here bcz Do you like Barhms? 💖 the drama and song
My father used to play this piece all the time when I was younger, so it’s a huge part of my childhood. I’m 20, now, and listening to this piece had me burst into tears. So many years that have passed since when I was younger, so many fond memories. Thank you for your beautiful playing.
That's very nice to hear, thank you for sharing!

That's what music is all about.
"Now you are mine. Rest with your sleep in my sleep.
Love, pain, worries, now they must sleep.
The night turns on its invisible wheels
and near me you are pure as sleeping amber..."
(Pablo Neruda)
A marvel this piece by Shumann, perfectly performed, which blends well with verses by my favorite poet. Thank you so much from Italy.
What a beautiful and poetic comment - thank you so much!

Well.., I want to share what I just experienced. I'm reading the book "It was a long time ago and it never happened anyway" by David Satter, while I listen to classical piano pieces playing in the background. Then, on page 205, I read: "The melody of Schumann's "Reverie" is carried over speakers", so I paused the playing of "50 greatest classical piano pieces" so I could listen to Schumann's "Reverie" here on yt., wondering if I would recognize it if I heard it. Well, lo and behold - it is the exact same piece I was just listening to without knowing it. I just paused it, at the timestamp 02:05:02 of "50 greatest classical piano pieces"... So, I was reading about Schumann's "Reverie", "carried over speakers", while it was "carried over speakers" from my computer, but I was unaware, then I paused the music to listen to Schumann's "Reverie" on yt., and I realize I know the piece and it was the piece playing in the background while I read about it in the book, "It was a long time ago and it never happened anyway". Well, it really is a beautiful, other-wordly piece of music isn't it, Schumann's "Reverie".
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story. I guess there are no coincidences...! How wonderful that you discovered Schumann's in such an extraordinary way.
Exceptional
Thank you!
Tão bela que me dói o coração! Sempre choro ao ouvi-la...minha alma se sente absolutamente ligada ao divino! Só luz!🌟
Celina Alencar, thank you so much!

Magnificent
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕 Belíssimo!!
Grazie !
He played it much better than most players. A simple piece that shows how the same music can sound mechanic, lacking emotions, or very romantic
Thank you so much!
I came across this wonderful piece todayand immediately became a fan. Träumerei became a favorite of mine for relaxation. As I listen to this
music, I constantly have the
dreamlike feeling.
Happy to read this. Thank you for sharing!
奏出了極度纏綿😭💙
Still listening every day in 2023👍🥰👏🙏
I am so grateful to hear that.

1974 & 1975 my 17yo birth-mate- twin Stewart played this (along with Grieg - Matrosenlied; Beethoven Sonata OP 79, 1st; and Sonata OP 2, no 1 allegro, adagio, prestissimo; Chopin E flat major OP9 no2) at two recitals @ Steinway Hall in prep for a judged audition.
He died in 1994. Immediately upon learning this, our piano teacher Mrs Jacobson sent me a cassette copy (transferred from reel to reel). I used the Adagio @ his Anchorage funeral.
Now I wish I'd chosen Traumerei.
Our sister Mary recently messaged me begging for "Stew's Music". I located it & a local shop transferred it to a CD. I sat parked in my vehicle listening to it and wept. The last time I had listened to the cassette was early 2006 in my sister Susan's car shortly before she died after a transplant surgery.
I remembered the UNENDING hours Stew would practice below my bedroom on base in Ft. Totten NY.
To think I'd wait 30 years to properly honor his talent ! Forgive my Procrastination.
I've burned 5 copies for our remaining two brothers, Mary and even Susan's twin girls (1969). I will mail them out next week. A surprise to all but Mary.
Thank you for posting this most beautiful playing of a heart wrenching melody
Lovely!
Thank you!
Superb! The best interpretation I've heard since Horowitz.
Thank you very much!
Wonderful 🤍
Thank you!
Dieser Künstler ist wirklich süß und süß.
Mahal 🖤
Personally, I think this was perfect
Thank you so much!
Wooow 🥰🥰
😄
Beautifully played. May I ask, was the "A" missing in that F major chord at 1:08? Driving me nuts.
Thank you.
The "A" is right there - just very softly played to have it melt perfectly into the chord.
Turning 40 this year. I played clarinet in high school and know how to read music, but don't know how to play piano. It's it too late for me to learn this and more advanced pieces?
It's never too late - just find a good teacher and start ;)
From Do you like Brahms? . I love this
Wow,you play it very well, for me,it was so hard to play piano, and this song is.....hard for me i guess....i hope you can have many fans.....😊😊
Thank you!
@@bernhardruchti your welcome😊
❤
Thank you ;)
good.
♥️💕💕
I'm here for school but it is very good
Glad that you enjoy the music
2022 Fan here!
Very nice ;)
Delightful. I suppose you play in single beat here, contrary to your magnificent and moving Fantasy.
Thank you very much for your compliment, I really appreciate it! My version of Träumerei is double-beat. Single-beat would be twice as fast.
Actually this is one of those pieces where everyone just ignores the MM and play way slower.
Wow! Amazing! I also played it on my channel.
🥺🥺🥺🥺
The dream of any man, woman or
Thank you so much 😊
Very beautiful. Sounds like the performance of Lang Lang.
I had no idea John Malkovich was such a good piano player.
Interestingly the first entry on IMSLP, which claims to be a reprint of the first edition, shows eighth=100, so this is probably the intended tempo anyways.
Get in touched
Came here from Fate Apocrypha, i saw it was a wonderful masterpiece ❤️
I liked Lang Lang's performance but there were coughing and making noise in the audiences LOL. So this is better!
Always hoping to watch any classical instrument performance in real. Soon. Hopefully.
Essa música me leva à estratosfera.
muito obrigado!
So now we know where Martin Luther King got his "I have a dream" inspiration ?
gutes stück von emirhan47 und max 7b:)
I think Ennio Morricone was inspired by this piece
