I think the most amazing transformation I’ve witnessed from this whole journey is watching your Personality blossom. I remember watching your first videos and thinking how quiet, sad, and how little you let your presence take up in the space around you. I’m so happy this journey has allowed not only people to get to know you but to watch YOU get to know YOU. The loud, silly and creative you! I love to see it! sending you the tightest hugs. Keep blossoming 🌱xx

i think this video was so popular was because it’s so real, it’s so raw. there’s so much perfected, filtered content on youtube that where everything looks and sounds perfect. when you hear the crisps bag and the background noises, it’s almost like you’re really there with her.

The most striking difference to me is in your eyes. Your eyes have become so bright and full of life now! Your skin and hair are also completely different now, brighter skin and fuller hair! I’ve recently relapsed due to a huge stress in my life, so come back to your channel to feel inspired to recover. 31 years I’ve had an eating disorder. I just want a life and some damn energy. I’m so tired all the time. It’s frustrating. I’m on the waiting list for trauma therapy for complex PTSD, if I lose any weight I’ll be taken off the list. I can’t let that happen, thanks for inspiring to try again ❤

@@spookydid thank you 🙏 it is completely messed up. Apparently it’s because if weight is too low the brain can’t handle the intensity of trauma therapy. I do get it but to not have any support for the next 6 months is going to be hard 🫤

I remember watching your first video when I was inpatient for the first time. I remember comparing myself to you (EDs are so competitive as you obviously know!) and now I can't believe the progress we've BOTH made. It gives me so much hope to see someone do so well, and it motivates me to fully recover. If you, someone who struggled with an ED for much longer than I did, can recover, then so can I. I'm so so incredibly proud of you and thank you. Much love from Canada

A video on committing to recovery even when weight gain is not such a priority anymore would be really helpful. Now that I'm a 'healthy weight' I do find it harder to justify sticking to my meal plan when I don't have the mantra 'I need to gain weight' to fall back on. x

If you can, you need to change the voice to : i want to take care of my body, i want to enjoy life to the fullest, a car can't drive without petrol and so can't i, my appareance doesn't define me.
Also is this a stage in recovory to let go of your mealplan a little ans try to eat the things you want at that moment, and then dont listen to what the ED whants (lower calorie, light, less, etcetera)

You're truly an inspiration, ups and downs included. You've provided such an honest and refreshing take on recovery and shone a bright light for others at the end of the tunnel. If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a billion times. Ro you are a light. I choked up so many times seeing how far you’ve come. The girl you once were is so precious and so goddamn strong. I can’t believe what she did. And amidst that she helped so many others. It’s one of the rare miracles of life. Someone recovering from a devastating illness and winning back their lives. And you won for your family too. I cannot imagine their fear seeing you that sick and being helpless to help you. And I cannot imagine the joy they must feel now - how proud they must be of you. By fighting so courageously for your life - you gave them so much. They get to keep YOU. And we get to keep and know you. Today, you positively radiate with beauty and warmth and grace and courage. And the girl you once were - she has my heart. Because she fought while sick and scared. She fought her little heart out. She gets a pass on editing - because she’s the bravest effing person ever. And so are you. Bless you for always Ro. You are a gift.

So proud of you Ro! 💞 I too understand the hardships of ed recovery. Even though I also get ed thoughts from time to time, Ive conquered nearly all my fear foods. I can finally eat freely, which makes recovery SO worth it. These days I find myself feeling nostalgic and grieving for the girl I was before my ed, before it took away my identity. I don’t know why, but does anyone else relate? It’s hard to accept that the past me is no longer me, and that in order to move on, I should treat this as a loss. What should I do? Should I grow and become a new version of myself,or is my past self still here?

Your channel is better than therapy, you're literally an angel 💙
I felt like crying too thinking back of how I bullied myself and how bad I now want to say to me "Sorry for what I did to you, you deserved none of that"

I watched that first video and I was so impressed by how far you had come then. So happy to see how much further you progressed and were you are now! Also, your personality was already showing in that first video and that is why it took off. And because you were brave enough to show your inner struggle to help others understand those who suffer from eds better. I think your parents might have had a little part in it as well, because I personally was really impressed by the way they supported you through every meal.

This has been extremely interesting to watch and thank you for sharing. I am a new viewer. Although I have never had an eating disorder, I have restricted my diet to one meal a day before for financial reasons which has lead me into feeling justified in skipping meals. I think people who don't struggle with eating will never understand how big a deal it is to be able to reflect back on your eating like this video.
P.s - I fell back in love with bananas from the taste of banana bread

Eating disorders really do rob us of ourselves. I look back on my recovery insta and the photos, videos, and food pics from when I was so ingrained in my ed I genuinely don’t recognize myself because I wasn’t myself, I was in the depths of my ed and I lost all of what made me me. My newer posts might be less “perfect” and “regimented” but I am so much more free and happy. I have followed you since day one and it has been so amazing to see your growth! I found you at a great point in my recovery but you reminded me of myself and I was rooting for you and cheering you on the whole way!!!

I used to follow you on TikTok and was recently thinking about your channel since I haven’t seen in over a year. I was worried you deleted your TikTok due to a relapse, but I remembered that I watched your first RUclips video so I searched it up and was so so so happy to see this video. Thank you for continuing to post and congratulations on how far you have gotten in your recovery. Seriously a role model. ❤️

I love seeing you smile and glow right now! I saw some of your videos way back and related to them in a completely different way (specific phobia related avoiding behavior) and was so proud of you for how you challenged your anorexia, because I could see how much fear it induced. Coming from my own phobia, I know how extremely hard it is to challenge that fear again and again, day after day. Wow, I am excited for you and I feel proud of you, it is great to see you smile and in such a good place!

Ro, you wonder why this video was so successful and I'd like to suggest, as someone who followed you from day one: Your authenticity and vulnerability was so compelling. The loving support from your family was so endearing. I subscribed right away; I really, really wanted to see you succeed. And throughout your journey, you have shared insights that really challenged my own relationship with food. So grateful for your wisdom and strength 💚

I was in hospital 11 years ago with an eating disorder and even now I still have the thoughts, I don't know if they ever fully leave you but now I eat whatever I want and have learned to ignore the thoughts. It's about knowing the thoughts are there but not listening to them. You're doing great ❤️
