Only 1 question - when I have zoom linked up to my wireless headset, I can’t hear Spotify music. Is that normal? Because I hear it playing when you press play on yours. 🤷♀️

Hi Justina. I bought a pair of Powerbeats Pro earbuds from Amazon.com a few days ago and they came yesterday. The microphone (and speaker) on them works great in Zoom! I guess the microphone on my Jaybird wireless earphones just wasn't working, which I didn't know. That's why I was asking if there was something special you were doing to get your Powerbeats 3 microphone to work. Now I can teach Zoom group fitness classes in my backyard with just my Powerbeats Pro earbuds and my laptop!! Thanks for all of your help!! 🙏

I am teaching exercise classes via Zoom at the moment due to COVID-19 and there is a slight delay between the music I play through Spotify on my computer and the music I hear from Spotify! I'm moving to the music I hear but my participants tell me there is a slight delay. My voice that my exercise class participants hear from my earbuds is also out of sync with the music they say. I found this out because I like to whistle to songs sometimes and my exercise class participants tell me that my whistling is out of sync with the music compared to when they take my classes live. I hope that helps!
@@suzannecombe2143 I thought about getting an external mixer after I found out about the slight delay but I'm just teaching aerobic and strength training classes so it's not vitally important that I be in exact sync with the music. I don't whistle during class anymore though. If I was teaching a Zumba or dance class, or any choreographed class, I would get an external mixer. 😊

Hi! So I send people the Zoom link as well as the meeting details because sometimes people have issues simply clicking the link for whatever reason. That way they can manually enter in the meeting ID and password.

I've tried practice teaching through zoom, and my mic works fine (participants can hear me well) but I can't turn up my music through my laptop too much because they won't hear me as well... and I need it turned up so I can hear it myself and coach along with it. Also, I wanted to connect my music to my speakers because laptop music sucks. How did you do manage those? Thanks!! Love what you do :)
Hi there! I take my music all the way up on my laptop but about halfway down on Spotify. That seems to be a good volume for me. As far as connecting to external speakers, I'm not sure how to do that unfortunately. Sorry I'm not more help!

Hey Kristi! People have to book directly through my website so I have a list of clients attending class. You can view who is logged into your Zoom meeting, so you'd be able to tell if there were additional people who didn't pay. Hope that helps!

Help! I watched your video and many more to figure out how to set up for my dance & yoga. I bought an expensive pair of powerbeats wireless earphones and set it all up as described, but my students said they cannot hear my voice and the music is too loud. I couldn't even hear the music in my earphones!

How would you use an app/software that shows a countdown timer? I want the audience to see me, the countdown timer, and my music playing simultaneously.
Hey Mo, i have no clue haha. I’ve seen that Rumble does a split screen where you can see the instructor in half the screen and then the moves on the other side. But I have no clue how to do that. If you found a countdown timer that you like and you can figure out the split screen, that seems like your best bet on zoom.
Not necessarily! But your mic on your computer may be too far away from you and not pick you up very well. Think of the bluetooth headphones as your mic. Hope that helps!
I really only know about the beats that I have. I’m not a big sound and tech person unfortunately. But I would be careful using an iPad bc I don’t think you can play music the same way as from a computer

I'm a group fitness instructor and would love to be able to use wireless earphones or earbuds as a mic to teach an online class instead of using a receiver, transmitter, pouch, wires, audio mixer, and mic, which is how a lot of instructors are doing it!!! So, I just have one question. How do you actually use your Powerbeats 3 wireless earphones as a microphone? Is there a button that you have to press in order to use them as a microphone before you start teaching? I've watched A LOT of RUclips videos looking for a truly wireless solution to use with Zoom. I discovered the share "computer sound only" advanced feature in Zoom to use with Spotify on my computer, which works great, but the cable-less, wireless mic solution still eludes me. Hey Russell, there’s a built in mic so as long as you connect your headphones to the Bluetooth on your computer, the option should come up to choose your headphones as your mic. Does that answer your question?

I did connect my Jaybird X2 wireless earphones to my computer via Bluetooth and I did choose them as both my speaker and microphone within Zoom but my microphone didn't work when I tested it in Zoom because I didn't hear a replay (like you did from 2:28 - 2:31 in this video). So, maybe my mic isn't working but should be? I'll try calling Jaybird customer service tomorrow and see if they've got any advice. Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately sharing your computer sound won't work from any type of mobile device like a phone or tablet.

Hi Sandra! They have their mailing system Ascend that you can send emails to all your clients through. Personally I use mail chimp.

@Justina Ercole Let me try to phrase my question a little better.. Do you just start speaking into your Powerbeats 3 wireless earphones as your mic once they are connected as your microphone (and speaker) within the Zoom app or do you actually need to press a button or two on your Powerbeats 3 earphones to get them to work as your mic so that you can give instructions to class participants as you work out?
Hey Russell, there’s a built in mic so as long as you connect your headphones to the Bluetooth on your computer, the option should come up to choose your headphones as your mic. Does that answer your question?

I did connect my Jaybird X2 wireless earphones to my computer via Bluetooth and I did choose them as both my speaker and microphone within Zoom but my microphone didn't work when I tested it in Zoom because I didn't hear a replay (like you did from 2:28 - 2:31 in this video). So, maybe my mic isn't working but should be? I'll try calling Jaybird customer service tomorrow and see if they've got any advice. Thanks for your help!

It can totally be a pain but it's the best platform (in my opinion) for a multitude of different things. I feel you though!
