Fun Fact: The "green room" is the term for a waiting room in a theater that performers stay in while they aren't on stage.

I just asked this question elsewhere, but someone pointed out that this room could be what Kris and Asriel's rooms got turned into.
But the question becomes, why was their room turned into a Green Room specifically?
Is there some deeper meaning, or...?
Funfact: It's also the (surfer's) term for the inside of a wave when it forms a tube. Since we have some ocean hints in UT/DR, this could also be important.

I mean, it wouldn’t be hard to out-design a fan design that’s literally Spamton with a TV head.
The tv will be the main villain since Queen is a computer and the entire theme of DC2 is the Internet while DC3 will be entertainment and television, idk about design though Queen didn't look like a computer only when she stated it did we realize, she looks more like a humanoid robot rather then a computer so i don't expect main boss to look like a square headed tv but instead something more out of the box (no pun intended.) since square headed tv's are so generic why not a Tv that is oval in shape of smt.Plus he already used that design to Mettaton who is a square head ...
i hate to say it but dont get your hopes up. toby likes making characters that are a bit hard to predict, so i dont think the villan will be a tv head, but a unique design. the tv with the smile at end ch 3 im sure is the smile of someone, not the tv itself. no one will hear me out tho, everyone is too focused on TV head Mike... :[

I need more Vaporwave Deltarune tracks like this! My guess is that this will take place in some sort of television/movie theatre dark world, where the primary antagonist is some sort of producer/director and the fun gang are signed into a movie deal that they need to escape. I think this a backstage lounge room of sorts, judging by the couches and bar in the back. The stars could also be hinting at “Movie Stars”, and a green room is a backstage lounge where actors can relax when they’re not performing. Very excited for the new chapter, especially with music like this!

One thing I love about the name of this track is how much of a red herring it is. A green room is a place where an actor stays when not working, so our crackpot Mike theories could be right. But on the OTHER hand, there are cacti visible here, and the room is a very similar color pallet to Asgore’s flower shop. It’s such a fork-in-the-road name for this song and i LOVE Toby for it.
This room is most likely the Dark World equivalent of Kris’s and Asriel’s room and the cactuses are seen around Toriel’s house as well.
@@cgimichaelmyers2806 well, we can’t be sure. Technically, we don’t even know what chapter this screenshot is from.
But do keep in mind that the doors seemed to be shaped similarly to Toriel's home. If a dark world was to be based in Asgore's shop, then chances are it'd have design elements that play off the floral theme better.
Also note the couches, colored and arranged in a similar manner to Asriel and Kris's room.
@@terstbrows3374 well consider the cyber world. The computer lab had a minimal amount of design to go off of, so Toby and team got creative. It’s possible that could happen again with Asgore’s.

I think this green room is part of Kris’s bedroom, you can tell by the stars which are the Glow in the dark stars on their ceiling, and the couch colors one side being Kris and the other being Asriel. Chapter 3-4 is coming along well so far, me and I’m sure everyone else will be excited to play whenever this releases thanks Toby.
I mean I see this but at the same time if so it wouldn’t match up with the actual design of the bedroom, I think it’s more likely that the dark room for chapter 3 is going to be based around the tv (Mike/tenner) and this to me looks like it’s backstage of a tv show or something a kin to mettatons encounter in undertake, hence the naming of the room

Plot Twist: The reason why the Hip Shop motif is used is because Rouxls Kaard had actually created this whole entire set up without being told as a way to show off his greatness.
(I know it's a little surface level considering "Hip Shop" is used for the Color Café as well, but I just waned to the that out of my head.)
I love how it uses almost the same musical building blocks and materials as It’s Raining Somewhere Else, when I first heard this my mind went straight to that song.

I think the "Relax and enjoy a world of cutting-edge entertainment!" is either a very obvious hint that our Mike / TV world theories are right, or a red herring and it's going to be some other place

...Y'know what, yeah, now that you mention it, I did notice one side had little scratches on it, and the color thing is easily noticeable, so it probably is the Dark World version of their room.

The ralsei smoking a blunt was referenced with one of the Valentine's cards you could receive from the Valentine's newsletter. In it, ralsei tells lancer to tell Susie to stop rolling all the Valentine's paper into a giant tube and making him pretend to 'smoke' it

Honestly, I kind of like the initial September 15 version of this song that we got more, rather than the later Spamton Sweepstakes updated version. Because it sounds much more upbeat and just generally catchy. The September 17 version is also really good with the banjo backing being more emphasized to give it a laidback tone, but with lead being more muted, it makes it less upbeat.
If Mike is in this chapter, I would love to hear what he has to say about what happened to Spamton in the previous chapter.

I have a Delatrune theory, spoilers ahead
I think every time that kris rips his heart out, he gets more control over himself. The first time he ripped it out, he could only get some pie, the second time, he is able to most likely slash toriels tires, and create a dark world, I think their will possibly near the end of the game be a boss fight against kris, where he rips you out of him and he starts fighting you, but you have NO choice to be a pacifist or a murderer, because you are just a soul. which reflects the main theme, that your choices don’t matter,

Putting my little guess into [the poll].
Green rooms and the whole TV theme might not even be what Toby is going about.
Green could be locked with Asgore and his flowers. Maybe the flowers are putting on a play or something.
Or since Roulx Kaard speaks in typical Shakespeare dialect, this might even be Castle Town and he might be trying in that field, like his shop theme in this song.
But the television and things like the silhouettes of the couches, are very very interesting.
I have a feeling that you can use this to transport between the Light World and Dark World in Chapter 3, since it seems it's going to begin in the Dark World but make up by giving us the new Light World content
Most of the light world screenshots probably take place in chapter four. On the status update the files names listed them for chapter 4.

with the terminology of "cutting edge", how the doors are sharp shaped, and the suspect slash along the right sofa, I'd suspect the chapter main boss to be based off of a Clipboard, as they could be a movie director, the use of "Cut!" to refer to a scene ending, ect

toby said in an earlier post that the rough script for deltarune chapter 1-7 has been finished a while ago.
@@dolphin6756 Ahh okayy, so maybe the fans just happened to coincidentally come up with a similar idea. Although, we haven't seen any proof of a character like Mike existing yet, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
The unpolished script for all chapters have been done for a good amount of time so no, Toby is not a bad writer to take inspiration from that goofy idea.

@@xd_tyl3rgxrdn3r81 No, the fans didn't have a similar idea, those Mike theories came after chapter 2 was released, since Jevil mentioned the Queen in one of his voice lines and Spamton mentions a Mike, its possible that the secret bosses will give us a hint to who the next villain of next chapter is, Spamton said that Mike is a tv host that scammed him and says that we can't believe everything we see on tv, and it so just happens that by the end of Chapter 2 we see Kris open a dark world to Chapter 3, which will be as of now confirmed as themed around entertainment, Fans just happened to piece things together and connect the dots... Toby already pre planned the entire story and who the bosses are he only needs to program and arrange everything.

My guess is that the Green Room is a Kris bedroom themed room in the dark world where Kris and his team would rest before the TV Show. The green room is a room in some theatres that acts as a lounge for actors before performing. This would make sense, considering the dark world opened in Toriel's home. It would also confirm that this is in chapter 3 and the TV theories would turn out to be true. It's all coming together.
My theory is that this dark world will go a LOT into Kris’s trauma and what happened in the past to separate the family in the first place. Kris made the world and mike took it over, each “game” likely reflecting key traumatic events that happened to kris, such as the divorce, Asriel leaving for college, etc. it’s why there’s themes of asgore’s house and toriel’s house. It shows the perspective of Kris and themes of separation and loss
This will be used in a shop of some kind, but I don't think it'll be in the same context as Hip Shop or Color Cafe, because otherwise they'd just reuse that theme instead.

I think this might be in the Castle Town, seeing as there's a Maus in the concession stand, and the only place enemies from different worlds can coexist without turning to stone (that we know of) is Castle Town.

No it wouldn’t, Toby is not the type of person to put an obvious teaser (the tv smile at the end of chapter 2) and make it a distinct scene/shot, only for it to mean nothing. That wouldn’t be subsersive or a ‘Toby thing to do’, it would just be bad writing.

i think the red curtain could maybe be the manifestation of the red thing underneath the tv in the dreemurrs' living room, which is also specifically a bright and vibrant red that sticks out a lot
