    At 0:54 when you say no cleaning is needed, do you mean that you can wear it straight from the package? Wouldn't the solution that came with the contacts be too harsh for your eyes?

      Yes, that’s correct. The vast majority of people’s can wear a soft contact lens right out of the blister pack. For those with sensitivities, rinsing off the lens with contact lens solution may be helpful as well.

    should I clean the daily disposable lenses with contact solution before putting it in my eye and also is it okay if it burns when I first put it in

      @RyanReviewsOptometry  3 года назад

      No need to but you can. As long as the burning stops, that should be fine. If it doesn’t, it’s worth looking into other lens options.

    Can the daily disposable contact lenses be stored for an year, if you only occasionally use them (like ones in a month) as they might only start drying out if you remove it from the box?
    Suppose I buy a box of 10 lenses per box can I store it for an year, if I only use it monthly?

      Once removed from the blister pack, they’re good for a day. If they remain in the blister pack, use the date on the box as your reference.

      Acuvue Revitalens pairs well with AVO 1-Day.

    What time in the night should I take them off? Certain time?

      Most people wear their contact lenses all day. We typically advise patients to take out their lenses a couple of hours before bedtime. 14-18 hours a day of lens wear is most common.

    So I can’t take them out for an hour and then put them back in?

    • @RyanReviewsOptometry

      They can be taken out and put back in on the same day. This is most commonly done for naps or swimming.

    can i take the contact out from the package and put in a contact case or will that ruin it?

    • @RyanReviewsOptometry
      @RyanReviewsOptometry  3 года назад +1

      Great question. Honestly, once removed from packaging, the lens is no longer sterile. Therefore, it's not ideal to do so.

    Can I reuse daily contacts for a week

    • @RyanReviewsOptometry

      No. That is not what they are FDA approved for, would be very uncomfortable, and could lead to an eye infection.
