    I had no idea they had a 6 amp charge that's crazy, an the lower unit on the pro kicker is something else for sure, ill be shopping for one in the next year an im going to mercury.

      It only charges 6 amps at full throttle. And it draws from the engine magneto, there is no alternator in those kickers.

      @@BeamerTheFoxI have a 9.9 pro kicker. I am taking it apart right now because the oil pump and motor mounts need to be replaced. It's a great engine! The carburetor is very finicky.

      @@alllivesmatter5358 ah wow must have some use on it lol, it seems alot of the newish carbs on most of the newer outboards are finicky an they all seem to run really lean..

    Rebranded Tohatsu. Mercury doesn't make there own small engines anymore.

      7islander yes you are right, but the pro kicker had lots of features tohatsu doesn’t have. Plus Tohatsu dealers are much harder to find, there for you can not do warranty work on the tohatsus. However, if you get it in a merc, you can as most places have merc dealers.

      Can I rig a 9.9 kicker on a regular boat as a main engine?

    • @BeamerTheFox
      @BeamerTheFox 4 года назад

      @@beeleau36 yes but itll be slow, an I wouldn't use it in bad rough water either lol.
