I would always do the third option if I won. The other thing to note would be the long wait time for the car to be made. Some have over a year lead times, so that's something to bear in mind too
For me personally I would probably take the cash alternative mainly because of the lead time which could also potentially get delayed even longer. I don’t have a car already so I would be desperate to get on the road again. I’d then look at getting a pre registered car. I was looking on a dealer’s website a few weeks ago and there was a cancelled order on a vehicle that they had in
You will also need to buy the must-have upgrades that people spec. Might be another £10k on top of the £100k. I'd still go for this option. If you go to the car delivery videos i'd say very few people end up going for the car unless it's a normal daily driving type thing. bit of s shame.
Yeah I agree, it is a shame that hardly anyone seems to take the car. I like to think that I'm going to take the car but if I ever have the choice it's going to be to decide whether I want to wait 6 months for a car or have a big chunk of cash in my bank account the next day.
You say "Run it cost free, because these things only do 17 18 to the gallon" "you wouldn't be paying fuel for a year because they cover that". Where the heck are you buying petrol from? There's no way 17 - 18 mpg is going to cost less than 20p per mile.
Just realised. Maybe you haven't read the T&Cs and are under the impression that they pay for your fuel without limits. The T&Cs state - "The Promoter will also pay for your Fuel (or electricity) for one year for up to 20,000 miles, paid at a rate of 20 pence per mile (only for miles driven in the car you have won)" With fuel prices as they are and the poor mpg of 90% of the vehicles you can win, then they really should make it clearer what "Fuel for a year" actually entails.
@@peterg4205 Yeah you're right. I hadn't seen that. In fact I just had to go and have a proper dig to find those details. And you're correct, if the RS6 does about 20 to the gallon (if you're lucky) at about £8 a gallon, they are only going to reimburse you at £4 for those 20 miles. It should definitely be clearer than that on the website. I would think they would explain all that to you if you win so you can make an informed decision. I think I'd still keep the car for a year though if all I have to pay is half my fuel bill for a year, but good point. Well spotted!
@@martsworld Peter feel to damn entitled, so what if I have to pay half of the fuel, If I got a brand new car, they gave cash in the booth, if I selected that heart sign, they paid the insurance and tax in full' not half, so what if I have to pay the extra half of the fuel, that's if I drive more often, that goes over the free generous limit of petrol that they covered free anyway, how drive within that limit, most of us got work and back home anyway within the same city, so our free limit petrol may still be too much for us. Nice video Mr Mart's, I was thinking of this option a long time ago, if I win!
@@martsworld and Mart, I actually just remember' when you are buying your ticket, you will see the option to select the total cost reward option of how many money total of amount of gas and fuel money you would like to win along with your selected ticket car that you are playing for, so if you know your car size tank will consume 40,000£ fuel a year, botb actual gave you an option to pay for a 1.20£ fuel ticket, to add along with the car itself ticket,
Thanks for this 3rd option if I ever win I'm definitely doing this unless I know I can fund the car after the year

I agree, that would be a pain. I often play to win one of the campervans but even if I won one today I wouldn't expect to see it until next summer.
