Not too surprisingly this video has split opinion. Personally I'm pretty unconvinced, however you have all made some pretty solid points and suggestions, so this calls for further testing. To that end I'll do a follow up in the new year using different elements from the camp system. (With the holidays only a few days off, I can't fit it in any earlier). It's been wonderful to see all the engagement in the comments. Feedback is always appreciated, and I'm happy to see so many of you interested enough to take the time to get involved. 😊
@Sinister Hand Yeah i was wrong about that.i tested with 10 Brahmin pens as they consume 10% budget each.Leveled up 30 times without moving(121-151)moved.scrapped everything and rebuilt and still capped at 10 pens and nothing else so the theory where budget increase and gets updated after moving is indeed wrong
Darth Xion budget does go up every level slightly I’ve found enough to build one more Piece of regular half wooden floor every level not a significantly huge amount but every so slightly at level 45 you won’t even notice it but you obviously proved it because you could throw your benches down and not on your level 6
I do not believe it does, I ran from vault 76 across map and have never moved my camp in 140 levels it hasn't changed, no turrets in my build no resource collectors, 1 generator 1 water purifier 1 rad arch not to many lights, people think it goes up with level because theres a bug to build passed your limit has something to do with moving your camp. My friends seem to think learning plans increase your limit I call bullshit lol, no where did anyone ever say your limit goes up by any means, if they increase the stash limit the build limit goes up too thats all we have to look forward too.
I can confirm that something does increase how much you can build as I've been at my limit, while planning an expansion and each time I've leveled up I've been able to add one or two more items to my build, sidenote I don't use turrets as they take up to much room
How often have you moved your camp? I've been in the same location for 140 levels and can tell you I cannot build anything else. There's bugs to build passed your limit if you move your camp, just like if your pet dies it still takes up stash limit bugs everywhere my friend.
@@smcfadden1992 correct where you build determine how many assets that can be initially placed. White springs is a red zone meaning there is alot happening so huge bases will bog down the server and you're computers performance quickly if bases get out of hand. Now if you build on top of Seneca rocks that is a white zone where you have the highest possible build budget.
You have to move your camp from its original location for the budget increase to show. My camp bugged out yesterday and I had to move it over about 3 feet to get it to work right. I had been in the same spot since beta. Before I moved my camp I was completely maxed out on budget. After moving the camp I had almost half my budget free. I was able to upgrade my little 1 story house to a giant 3 story monster.
I scrapped everything and rebuilt it all after getting to lvl 20. It seems to use less budget. I suspect turrets are a special case, as they don’t want anyone with 50 turrets. But walls, floors, stairs, etc seems to cost a lot less as you level up.
I have discovered this as well. EDIT: I have discovered the TRUE reason, started a new character to test and built a 3x4 two story wood base to test, it was only 20% or so of my budget. Went on my 1st ever character lvl 34 that I have not played since before the first big Bethesda patch and made the same base out of what he had while scrapping the rest. It was a good 10% more even tho it was made of the same items. I then moved that base to the exact same location as the other one and placed it down and now it's the same budget amount. So either location effects budget amount or more likely Bethesda reduced the cost of CAMP items and when you move / rebuild your base it takes effect.
Ishla Corrin locations do affect budget. I previously had my camp at the river near Morgantown airport, which had full budget. Then I moved to the bridge near Harpers Ferry and all the items I had in Morgantown only filled 60% of the total budget. I think it’s because land (like solid terrain and buildings) affect your max budget, but water and “air” doesn’t.
Yeah I was reading that stuff in the environment (rocks, trees) count to your budget. Just go to the golf course, build and blueprint your base with nothing from the environment in your way.
Long story short: it does ... expect for turrets, as they allways take up ~10% of your budget. But the other stuff like walls, floors and so on take up less budget the higher your level. I am level 87 and I can build way more walls, floors, roofs and so on compared to level 8 or so. Just try to build as much as you can with your low level charater, but no turrets, and than check how much you can build with you lr higher level character. Btw, if you use all of your budget you can see that the budget bar is shrinking when you level up.
I think that turrets are a fixed amount regardless of level and all the other CAMP stuff changes, possibly depending on your level and build. I've been building to the limit on a new character and every time I return after leveling I can add just a little bit more.
That was not a fair test at all. Having items stored can count towards buget too. Best way to test it is at a low lvl just put your camp down and then just build 1 item over and over till max budget. Now lvl the same char up to 30, 40 or 50 then with no items store at all place the camp only down and once again build the same item again till max budget.
I've tested 140 levels, I've not moved my camp, I have nothing stored I cannot build anything more and my camps looked the same for 100 levels, it makes no sense it would go up, Bethesda never claimed it would its all speculation, I bet everyones build limit went up when the stash limit did because they said if they could optimize theyd increase so it make sense to increase build limit too.
I have no turrets no resource collectors and had a higher level player help me build it has not changed in 100 levels people want it to be true so they believe it to be.
I've semi tested this with my alt toon lvl 12 comparing it to my lvl 103 camp. My 12 managed to build, which I call the warehouse barn, a huge 3 story barn with all the basics. My main camp is a huge 1 story but holds a shit ton of misc items. But IMO there is no increase in base budget just an increase of realization of what your doing.
I was curious about this the other day. I had totally maxed out my budget at my little farm. Then I gained like 2 levels, and went back to check the build budget. It had a tiny, tiny bit of room on the bar, but not enough to place down anything but one new plant. So perhaps it does increase a tiny bit, but not really enough to make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things, ya know? Your experiment was well done, and it's much appreciated, awesome video! If I don't get to talk to you before then, Merry Christmas to you and your family!! :)
Cordless VII built there early on, which is where I saw it. It's on top of a hill and out of sight of most of the places you go early on. The big drawback is that it's very popular. I had to server hop 3-4 times to make the video. (That was in the middle of the night though, so there were probably fewer servers up)
It's a great spot, particularly in the early game. The only major drawback is that it's very popular so you may clash with other people. Nothing a quick server hop won't fix though. It's right next to the place the Meet Week event happens too.
Its a online multiplayer game that can be pvp so turret budget cost does not decrease but other objects do and speaking of witch budget does not increase the items cost decreases i have tested this.
When I logged into my game a couple of days ago I got a message saying "Your CAMP cannot be placed in the current session. You can move it for free if you wish". I didn't move it and next time I logged in there it was.
@@lewisner I've been getting the "cannot be placed in current session", lately. Not always is it because someone has built there. sometimes, there is NO camp there. :/ in any case..... Server hop it.
Yeah, I think the increase comes from the idea that a lot of us have maxed our build budget, then later on with the same house we suddenly have some more room to build. Could be turrets have a flat % while house items have a fixed amount of points?
The budget does increase, however it will not actually take effect untill you move your camp to a new location. It does not automatically increase. I had my camp and moved it and moved it back to my spot and before I moved it was maxed out and then after the move I had more budget.
@@fate_o_nate7847 dang!!!! I am not gonna lie, I have no idea how it works these days. That was the case 5 years ago and I recently just started playing again
I know from experience the budget is changed as you level up. How it changes I don’t know. I don’t know if the budget gets bigger or if the items in the budget simply take up less space. You don’t notice it level to level but I have noticed that I’m able to build more every 10 levels. When I started out I couldn’t build much more than a 2 story base with wooden walls, 3 benches and 3 turrets with no extractor or generators. I’m level 106 now and can build 2 extractors with a 3 story metal wall base, fusion generator, 3 water purifiers (in ground style), 2 missile turrets, 3 laser turrets, 1 heavy machine gun turret, one of every bench style including power armor station, conduits and wiring. It would be impossible to build anything like that when you first start out even if you had the plans for it all. The budget does change somehow. There’s just no other explanation for me being able to build what I can now vs what I could early on in the game.
Another youtuber said the budget does increase with level but, that you will not get this increase until you move your camp. I actually moved my camp after 10 more levels and still could not tell much difference but, its not a fair test. I had a fusion generator and more lights at the new build and those are big budget eaters. I did initially attempt to save my camp and move the whole thing to see if I could build more but, I couldn't place it and had to scrap a bunch of stuff and switch out the old generators, etc. So its impossible to say for sure. The increase does not appear to be very significant, if it even exists at all.
things like turrets seems to be a set percentage due to balacing, cant have a base thats just 100 turrets howver things like walls and funiture and such you deffintly can place more of the more you level, can make a fairly big house without turrets at level 5 but level 50 you can make a damn castle and still have enough budget for a few turrets
I think the budget does increase with level, but the turrets may always take up a certain percentage of the budget, which explains why the number is 10 across all levels.
I’m most certain that the build budget does not increase but the cost of crafting is reduced as you level up. However, I don’t think this applies to turrets. At level 27 I built a 2x3, 2 storey base with 3 basic machine gun turrets, all the crafting stations and 8 pieces of furniture. No water purifier or generators and the budget was maxed out. 2 days ago at level 86 I was able to build 4x4, 2 storey with a 2x3,2 storey Workshop extension.A generator room extension 2x2, front porch, fusion generator, industrial water purifier,a missile turret and a heavy machine gun turret, all crafting stations, a small garden, fully furnished, including the garage door and the advanced power conduits( ‘cause I hate cables :) ). With this my budget is now maxed out!
I'm lvl 47 and I can easily put down 10 torrents and still build a multi story home plus generators water purifiers furniture etc... However I have built and scrapped more camps than I can count so idk maybe the amount I have built and scrapped has an effect on the budget size
Its actually obvious. Build to your absolute build budget limit. level up a few times and come back. You will be able to build more. it only goes up a little bit after level 40, but it does increase.
I built in a spot at about lvl 100 and camp had to be strategically placed. I moved and came back lvl 720 and I do have about 8 in game steps further distance. Now this could be because of increased updates over the years or because of my lvl, but if it's because of level, you're not going to see a difference from lvl 6 to lvl 40 something, especially testing with turrets
Turrets are a bad example as individually on their own they take up10% of the budget each , Always! So if you put 10 down you will always fill up your budget quick. anything else in the game though you can put down a ton more items at higher level than you could when first starting out.
I dont have any proof of it but I've kept my base next to whitespring from level 26-85, beta till about a week before the most recent update, my budget was at max and I was content with it I didn't really focus on building just needed the basics. Then one day some one finally took my spot and I had to start over, found a nice spot in white springs and built a huge base, talking mansion size with rooms and water purifiers on the side and 2 missle turrets
@@lewisner sadly no, little roleplay I did was build a hotel, 2nd and 3rd floors were rooms and the bottom was for crafts and a eating location, but I've seen giant buildings like that as well
Some of your other commenters have said as much, but what I've found is more subtle than the budget just going up, but rather things cost less budget to craft as you level up.
Based on what I've seen so far... It must be very subtle. Or possibly just doesn't affect turrets. Tbh tho for now I'm more inclined to think it's a placebo. 🤷♂️ I could be wrong. Actually that would be nice. But so far, I'm unconvinced.
@@DarthXionGames I have seen this in action, I built a base at level 10 with no turrets and kept it the same for the next 20 levels. That doesn't make any sense. The budget totally increased with your level. You were able to build ten turrets at lvl 6 before you maxed out. At lvl 48, your character had almost ten turrets PLUS the mutfruit, a nuclear reactor, a water purifier, and more! It's pretty obvious the budget max increased if you were able to build more stuff later on.
It seemed to me that it may go up by scrapping and rebuilding things within the same camp. My budget would go up mysteriously while swapping things out, but it went down by an enormous amount when I had to relocate.
Turrets seem pretty cool but serve no real purpose. I just have one inside guarding the door but a better way to have security is to have no door, just a wall and store it when you go home and rebuild it when you leave.
@@MrNb22 Somebody targeted my home near Harpers Ferry a week ago. At the risk of sounding paranoid I was literally at Ground Zero and no other players turned up to loot the area which is what usually happens. I took a massive amount of radiation and died but when I respawned I just wandered round picking the loot up.
Its a good idea, but I have had monsters destroy entire walls and I had doors they could have gone through at the time. One was a mole rate that destroyed an entire wall. I can't find a place that doesn't spawn things to tear up my camp, sometimes inside the actual camp. It seems the game wants to force us to have at least some turrets.
This is an old video but.... I don't think you get a larger budget per se but item types are limited by how many of each type you can have and that sets the percentage. As you level up you can place more of each item type which lowers tye percentage that the budget takes. But it's not 10, 20 or 30 levels. It's more like 100, 200 and 300 levels.
Im building basically the same size base i was making @ level 82 that i was able to make at level 5 its lame. Takes alot of the wind outta my sails to get on n play more , same for the tiny stash space at a certain point i just lost interest in the game because the entire point is looting & shooting cept now the loot cant be looted n the shooting combat is average. The progression id slightly boring quickly. If they didnt want people having 50 turrets they couldve just made a defense budget seperate from the actual build limit so u could do more on ur actual base & limit having tons of turrets .
The best game for storage and building that's unlimited building and storage with loads of people is rust I know it's been out for a long time been polished up despite it's graphics it's still an amazing game that Bethesda should take note and learn a little for my company doing it right Fallout 76 is not bad just finished polishing out it's still early days and guarantee they would definitely increase the storage and build project eventually well I pray.
I was at max build a while, but recently was able to build 4 more concrete foundations & surounding brick walls to make my one room camp bigger, So it seems to me that my build budget has grown a little, BTW I have never been able to build more than 10 turrets.(I have 4 atm one on each corner)
Everyone seems to get lost here. The budget never moves at all. The cost to produce each item drops as you level up. Making it seem like you get a bigger budget.
I think it may increase with level but even though not shown i think what's in your box as well as whats on you also affects it.. Reason I say this is because I was at 100% for build, had alot of junk on me since I couldnt store anymore.. I got killed and the server disconnected so I wasnt able to recover my junk I had on me, when i got back into the game I went back to my base and found it to no longer be at 100% but was now only 60% full.. (I was using the pocket glitch to have probably 200 to 500 pounds worth of stuff on me at the time)
I don't think you tested what the rumor was. The rumor is it decreases the budget cost of BUILDING things from scratch, soyou need to scrap the turrets and rebuild them when ur higher lvl. I'm lvl 100 and I just placed a fresh turret in my camp and it only took 2% budget(although this may because of the recent updates increasing camp budget etc.) So basically, you need to scrap your entire base and rebuild it a higher level to test the rumor properly.
you could just store 1 turret and check if it still gets 10% from your budget (since you got full 100% with 10 turrets at lvl6) :D another simple way. but i bet they count different from others, because you cant just have a turret base :D
The testing that I have seen shows that the Budget does not increase. More accurately, there seems to be a growing discount for building as you level. 1 simple way to show this was done by Monkey Puzzle in ruclips.net/video/eP5koHMTcl4/видео.html . Essentially, he had a turret stored for a couple of levels, then he placed it which maxed out his budget. He then scrapped it and freshly built it. At this point he had enough Budget left for 1 plant. Not any kind of huge difference, but potentially significant, if you hold onto things like turrets for many levels.
Never moved my camp. Level 230 now and it still slowly increases. Sooo I dunno folks, seems like it’s been increasing for me. A buddy of mine is experiencing the same thing.
I am trying to build a bee hive, it tells me no because it exceeds build budget. I scraped ten mutfruit and an exercise bike. I can build three turrets but not the bee hive, any thoughts as to why?
Without seeing first hand I can only guess at some possibilities... It could be because different things use different amounts of budget. Scrapping crops frees up quite a bit but turrets use even more than crops. Another possibility is that some things have a limit on the number that you can build at a given camp irrespective of budget. If you've exceeded that number you won't be able to build more. It might be worth checking that you didn't store things instead of scrapping too as items in the "stored" tab also count towards the budget. I hope that helps!
100% = 100%, basic math. It is a silly question to ask, especially with the last update CLEARLY showing every object has a set % of budget memory it requires. People seeing a change in budget is because CAMPS are glitched and duplicate placed objects are stored as phantom or non phantom objects seemingly taking up no budget when they infact do. There's no fix for phantom stored objects as you cannot place them down or delete them after you managed to make them appear in the 'stored menu' Making them appear is a rather complicated method but useless if you pull it off. Because upon trying to place them down you will get an error message. If you have non phantom stored objects, move your camp then DELETE all stored objects. If you don't do this atleast once, the game will remove non phantom duplicated stored objects when you log in or log out and duplicate stored objects in to phantom stored objects when you log in or log out with no way to delete them. Everyone who moved their camp atleast ONCE is affected by this glitch and noone realizes it's a glitch... Really guys, what else could it be? Last time i checked we are playing a game called Fallout 76 by a company named Bethesda. And ya'll still confused, haha hilarious, not -_- 100 % = 100 % in this context and it's final, no extra conversion, no extra calculations!! How much easier and clear can they make it? Really what the fuck people? Blows my mind... And here i though Reddit figures everything out, i guess not. Edit: Just read like all the comments because i got nothing better to do than research, the more i learn the more i see how clueless people are nowadays when it comes down to just about anything. What can i say... i'm an arrogant realist and very wise people like ya'll sometimes brings out the douche in me. ~CGTv

Parts that are "crafted" at a higher levels take up less of the budget ! So build a basic camp when you start and then add as you go... a good test might be craft & install items... turrets at levels 5 , 25 , 50 , 75 , 100 & see what the difference is ! See you gamers in the wastelands 😆 Can't wait for this Fall the big update.... I waited for 6+ months for them to iron-out the bugs and turn this game around ! I had my doubts at first but they've done at great job and I'm having a blast... we still need a bigger stash box (1600 ) & another boost in the building budget but other than that the games 100X better than it was at launch 😉 It's still hard to give up my Fallout 4 ... 20 story ( 250hr ) mega builds for theses little shacks but I understand why.... the stash box is very hard for me to manage,I was a loot whore in FO4 w/5000 legendary weapons and 1500 P.A Suits with over 2000hrs of gameplay ! One thing I'm finally starting to manage is the survival part ( thanks to game time and perks ) Well all I wanted was a chance to play and I'm doing that with 50+ hours and level 25 the game is starting to grow on me... I'm more of an Explorer the hurry up and level-up player.... you miss so much of the game that way.
A lot of this is out of date now anyway with the changes Bethesda made to the whole camp system during the spring. I'm really looking forward to the new content over the next few months. The new seasonal event that they have lined up looks cool. The impression i got from a recent interview with Jeff Gardner, (FO76 Project lead) they don't have any plans to increase the stash any further. Apart from the increased server load that would create they want it to be somewhat restrictive so players have to make choices about what's worth carrying with them. I agree about taking your time to explore. The current structure of the game has pieces of history and lore stashed in all manner of places. Power levelling and rushing ahead kills off the challenge and causes you to miss a lot of the world building content that is out there. 🙂
If you were gonna do a test you should of had nothing in storage stall and then just seen how many you could build. It would of been clearer to see than what you did
it does increase, your lvl 6 character could build 10 turrets with no room left in the build bar, you character currently actually had room left after the 10 turrets
Frixley he only had nine turrets placed for the level 48. He said he didn't have room to place the tenth because of the miscellaneous things he had placed such as the mutfruit and workbenches.
Interesting. What I had heard is that as you increase in level, your budget doesn't increase but things you build at higher levels use less budget than at lower levels. This seems to be nothing less than unsubstantiated rumor as you've proven it false with science. Edit; I've also heard that building over water gives you more budget as well but I dont know how true that is either.
I doubted it from the moment I heard it tbh. It sounded like wishful thinking. I can't think of any reason to include it as a mechanic either. 🤷♂️ I suppose it's possible that location affects the budget, but again, it seems unlikely. My guess is that the budget is a result of being online in some way or another. If nukes affect performance lots of huge camps might too.
I have seen this in action, I built a base at level 10 with no turrets and kept it the same for the next 20 levels.
It's only cost of things built. The budget dose not change. And it's a small amount. Like 1% from your totally budget for every 33 levels. You would have to rebuild everything and be level 336 to get a extra small turret from level 6. (If what I have been told is true) I am level 106 and I have rebuilt my base and it let me just build a extra wall or decoratetion after 30 levels that seems true but is not worth the cost or effort. Also a simpler test. Just store 1 built item and look at the % stored. No need to go thru all your items.
I definitely was able to build a bigger base at lvl 50 than I did at lvl 10 with the same amount of turrets, there is definitely something to question as to whether items aside from turrets and traps cost less budget as you lvl
I just played fallout 76 and I don't get the hate I'm not taking about the other things because I agree with the contevorsy and hate behind those. just the game itself I mean EDIT:spelling mastake
It's not at all scientific and it's incorrect do you want to test it dude you got to clear your budget out completely scrap everything and you should be doing it on the same character to so we know all your perks are the same dude you should have and identically configured character doing the test all times you do it once then you level 5 levels and you do it again with the saying Park cards equipped to have equipped the first time you did it in fact I honestly you shouldn't even be increasing your stats you're special or buying part cards just level up 5 levels and if that doesn't work it may actually be one of your specials that controls camp size
Pdude that was a terrible test man you have to start out with a character at say 5 or 6 like you did put down is much stuff as you can tell it says the build budget has been exceeded then you have to level that character and see if you can add to what you've already built using a character with stuff already on its build with a cam party place than things on it is no kind of scientific test going to make a video about something like this you have to commit and be willing to be inconvenienced by tearing down your house scrapping all of it and completely clearing your build budget
You have to place ur camp down again for budget limit increase to apply
I’ve also seen level 200s build four story castles with nothing to build on that was pre existing
@@smcfadden1992 I maxed my budget at lvl 130, moved my base at lvl 180 and got about 10% more budget
@@anamewithalotofnumbersandx7844 That is most interesting. I wonder if the bulldozer effect is helping the build budget as well.
Yes it seems turrets/ defensive armaments are locked to 10 items. The test should be made using lightsouces instead
Lord Renek Gamer really, my experience is different. I’ve been at my max, same location. Gone up a level and I can build one more thing
The turrets will take the same amount of space no matter your level, but fot your walls, as exemple, the space increase.
That is a beautiful spot on your first character, can't believe I have never found it.
IceStella that's my main camp site. It sits just east of the moonshiners shack.
Cordless VII built there early on, which is where I saw it. It's on top of a hill and out of sight of most of the places you go early on.
The big drawback is that it's very popular. I had to server hop 3-4 times to make the video. (That was in the middle of the night though, so there were probably fewer servers up)
Literally going to use this spot for my secondary character. This is a top tier spot
It cost me 40 caps to move my camp thats the only I've noticed when I lvl.
When I logged into my game a couple of days ago I got a message saying "Your CAMP cannot be placed in the current session. You can move it for free if you wish". I didn't move it and next time I logged in there it was.
lewisner it is because someone else had a camp in your location
@@Hydratiun It must have been very shortlived because it never happened again.
@@lewisner I've been getting the "cannot be placed in current session", lately. Not always is it because someone has built there. sometimes, there is NO camp there. :/
in any case.....
For sake of resource grinding, does that wrk if u save all items b4 moving ur camp???
I have found areas that only allow very minimal camps to be built, then right across the same pond you can have a normal sized camp.
I think a good way to test it. would be build to max budget then level up 10 time's and see if you can put down a chair or other small items.
I went from level 46 to 53 in one session, I went back to my camp the budget didn't increase at all? The camp budget is a mess imo!
Robert Sleight you need to move your base for some people
I'm lvl 47 and I can easily put down 10 torrents and still build a multi story home plus generators water purifiers furniture etc...
Was that your place I saw surrounded with Gunner guard barriers ? I took it to be part of the built in content it was so big.
When I hit 30 I went to move it and noticed that Instead of using 80% of my budget it was only using around 30-40% and I could build much more.... not sure how it works exactly but it seems noticeable over 20 levels at least.
@@Ishlacorrin nah i think the camp take in consideration in the budget even the rocks and the trees
@@fedesotilpazzo91 exactly correct.
It seemed to me that it may go up by scrapping and rebuilding things within the same camp. My budget would go up mysteriously while swapping things out, but it went down by an enormous amount when I had to relocate.
this is proven long time ago, the actual question is if from level 50 do you still get more budget like comparing 50 to 100 to 150
Turrets seem pretty cool but serve no real purpose. I just have one inside guarding the door but a better way to have security is to have no door, just a wall and store it when you go home and rebuild it when you leave.
try a missile + laser combo with a camp sitting in front of whitespring by the zombie spawns...it's kind of fun :)
@@MrNb22 I guess it is but getting nuked every day must wear a bit thin.
@@lewisner i dunno, on pc it's either already nuked or nothing...i havent been hit by a nuke yet.
Electrical turrets and food take up the most. Turrets are beyond ridiculous budget wise honestly.
You need to pick your C.A.M.P. and move it to a new location outside of your build zone to increase your budget to your current rank.
and if thats true, then when is the level cap for budget? i mean when is the time to finally move it once and for all? 100?
@@Ichoros Sure, 100 Sound good.
I was at max build a while, but recently was able to build 4 more concrete foundations & surounding brick walls to make my one room camp bigger, So it seems to me that my build budget has grown a little, BTW I have never been able to build more than 10 turrets.(I have 4 atm one on each corner)
I can confirm it. did test it my self, and on a character over lvl 100. nothing changed
Everyone seems to get lost here. The budget never moves at all. The cost to produce each item drops as you level up. Making it seem like you get a bigger budget.
What if the turrets take up a % of the budget?
Still very good to know. Thanks
You nailed it. each turret takes up 10% of the budget each. Other items take far far less
(I was using the pocket glitch to have probably 200 to 500 pounds worth of stuff on me at the time)
I believe this may have something to do with the amount of plans that you unlock for the camp
I wonder if by adquiring more plans and being able to build more items you'll afect the budget as well.
I don't think you tested what the rumor was. The rumor is it decreases the budget cost of BUILDING things from scratch, soyou need to scrap the turrets and rebuild them when ur higher lvl. I'm lvl 100 and I just placed a fresh turret in my camp and it only took 2% budget(although this may because of the recent updates increasing camp budget etc.)
So basically, you need to scrap your entire base and rebuild it a higher level to test the rumor properly.
you could just store 1 turret and check if it still gets 10% from your budget (since you got full 100% with 10 turrets at lvl6) :D another simple way. but i bet they count different from others, because you cant just have a turret base :D
A buddy of mine is experiencing the same thing.
wow i have 5 turrets at my camp....i should scrap 3 of them! didn’t realize they took up so much space! i’m level 87
Thank you , I will poke around a little more with the beehive. I try to build stuff that will produce food be useful.@@DarthXionGames
There's no fix for phantom stored objects as you cannot place them down or delete them after you managed to make them appear in the 'stored menu'
Making them appear is a rather complicated method but useless if you pull it off.
And ya'll still confused, haha hilarious, not -_-

Here's part of a chart i made which i'm using, i went and tested everything in the field as well and the numbers are 99.5% (of 100%) correct.
Meaning there's only a 0.5% error margin which means the maximum a % (where 100% = 100%) can deviate from it's actual value would be ultimatly tiny, something like for example 0.000001%

I could release a full chart like somewhere on Reddit perhaps.
But i would be laughed at as all my numbers are incorrect anyway because their values magically change as you level.
"Unaltering game codes alter when you level."
Just look at how much logic that sentence makes.

I logged in one day and this guy at the golf club had like 50 turrets
did u wake up first? :D
I disagree, levelling doesnt increase building. Scrap turrets this will make a huge difference
I belive the camp levels with you but if you tear it down it goes to "stock"
Where were you with your level 6 i wanna build there
It's just a little south west of Vault 76. Right below the spot the cook-out is located when Meat Week is running.
If you were gonna do a test you should of had nothing in storage stall and then just seen how many you could build. It would of been clearer to see than what you did
From what I have heard it doesn't increase until after level 50
hahahaha that was my thought :D this guy is UNLUCKY hehe
traveling cost increases, switching camp also costs more as you level up,
Good video. I had this question just the other day.
100% build limit increases with level. To a point though, I’m assuming level 50
There is a limit of 10 turrets... the gain you get per level is very small, it literally affords you 1 tato plant or something
I've made it almost to level 70 and I'm able to place 12 turrets
If you've got other stuff built or stored, the experiment doesn't prove anything, particularly if you've got a fusion generator as well.
lvl 65... not seeing any increase...
it does increase, your lvl 6 character could build 10 turrets with no room left in the build bar, you character currently actually had room left after the 10 turrets
Frixley he only had nine turrets placed for the level 48. He said he didn't have room to place the tenth because of the miscellaneous things he had placed such as the mutfruit and workbenches.
it doesn’t go up as u level up it goes up the more plans u learn
I've unlocked tons of plans and can't tell any difference in budget.
I suppose it's possible that location affects the budget, but again, it seems unlikely. My guess is that the budget is a result of being online in some way or another. If nukes affect performance lots of huge camps might too.
I have seen this in action, I built a base at level 10 with no turrets and kept it the same for the next 20 levels. When I hit 30 I went to move it and noticed that Instead of using 80% of my budget it was only using around 30-40% and I could build much more.... not sure how it works exactly but it seems noticeable over 20 levels at least.
I definitely was able to build a bigger base at lvl 50 than I did at lvl 10 with the same amount of turrets, there is definitely something to question as to whether items aside from turrets and traps cost less budget as you lvl
thanks
Now I understand why I can't build much 😂 oops
have you stolen decoy’s dungeon’s theme?
I just played fallout 76 and I don't get the hate I'm not taking about the other things because I agree with the contevorsy and hate behind those. just the game itself I mean
EDIT:spelling mastake
You've not come accross any bugs and your game never disconnects? (Losing all of your workshops)
Fallout limitations are shite, this should be like F4
Pdude that was a terrible test man you have to start out with a character at say 5 or 6 like you did put down is much stuff as you can tell it says the build budget has been exceeded then you have to level that character and see if you can add to what you've already built using a character with stuff already on its build with a cam party place than things on it is no kind of scientific test going to make a video about something like this you have to commit and be willing to be inconvenienced by tearing down your house scrapping all of it and completely clearing your build budget
I cant build shit im level 43
Short answer: No
Answer is no it doesn't saved you some time
You can't call that a test its really inaccurate
Big chungus
Please don't become a scientist.
Now I've seen this I'm going to reduce the number of turret's. They really eat up.your budget 🫣
