- I think this just might be the best instant ramen in Japan! This is Myojo brand Chuka Zanmai and we've found five varieties of them in our local supermarket.

Thank you so much for sharing these noodles . I used to eat them in New York many years ago and I’ve been looking for the in all the Asian market forever and couldn’t find them !! I’d order some from Amazon and I’m super psyched!! When I come to Japan next time I’m so totally loading up to take home !!❤️💕🤩
I just love these videos of yours, thank you so much. My favourite is Sapporo Ichiban shoyu, but I've been having that since I was little, I'm 60 now still love it. Thanks again guys, 🎉
My grandfather in Taiwan always made these instant noodles way back in the early 80s. They are truly the best instant noodles.
I've tried the Shoyu and Miso varieties of Myojo Chukazanmai Ramen and found both to be excellent. Very hard to distinguishing betwen those dried instant noodles and fresh noodles. I believe they are overall comparable to Sun Noodle's products. 🍜🥢
Hi guy's good to see y'all love theses kind of videos thanks for sharing take care 😘❤️❤️🥰😍🤩🌹🙏💯
I'm going to bring some of these home with me! I hope I can find them.
They’re no longer carried in SF J-Town’s supermarkets now 😩
I used to keep a supply of soy sauce (red), soybean (orange), “oriental” (green) and cold (blue) .
The best! 💯
I must look for these, on my next trip to my local Asian market.
🥢 Looks so delicious!
Those noodles look delicious 😋 I haven’t seen them here in Canada but I’ll keep my eyes out. We have an Asian supermarket here that I haven’t been too in awhile
I most definitely would like to try that hk style shoyu ramen. Almost looks like chuka don with ramen.
Lol. Great review. Those myojo noodles are delicious, I like the soy sauce one.
Love this brand! Glad you guys like it too and that it's considered tasty even in Japan :) The noodles are air-dried rather than par-fried, and the oil seasoning packs make a huge difference for the flavor and aromatics.
I remember those from when I was a kid too, and I'm just a bit older than Shinichi.
I have seen these items in my local store . Now l know how good they are. l will give them a try, thanks to your video .
When I make Shin Ramen I end up cubing a can of bacon-flavored Spam then air frying it. Once done I put in the bottom of the bowl, pour the noodles and soup over then cover with shredded cheese. If I feel really hungry I poach eggs in the broth as the noodles cook. I understand where Satoshi is coming from.
Back in the day, a restaurant in LA's Little Tokyo used to serve Myojo Chuka Zanmai (shoyu & miso flavors) as their ramen. No one was the wiser. The restaurant recently moved out of Little Tokyo and is still operating. Don't know if they continue to serve Myojo Chuka Zanmai or not.
Wow thats so interesting that they served instant ramen at a resto!
This is my Favorite instant ramen brand… it is expensive here in Michigan. 3 dollars a pack.
Myojo make a lot of these in export versions for the US as well! I'm sure there are probably some ingredient differences between them, though, as you cannot import products from overseas that contain things like beef, pork, or chicken. Seafood meats seem to be fine, though. The export versions are still quite nice, I think! I'd love to try the ones sold in Japan sometime. I have had the last one, the tantanmen, the actual for sale in Japan version, because I imported it myself from a website based in Japan and customs didn't seize it lol. It was quite good. :)
If you guys want to try more high quality air dried instant ramen lines, maybe do videos for Nissin Raoh, Maruchan Seimen, or Marutai's Local Series. Marutai's Local Series is my personal favorite of the Japanese air dried instant ramen lines. The noodles are stick type instead of in block form, and each packet contains two servings instead of just one.
That looks so good
I need to hunt this down somewhere in international market, the noodles look so good!!
If you live in the US, I often find them at Asian supermarkets. They make versions for export, though there's likely some small ingredient differences due to the US' restrictions on importing products that contain some types of meat. But I'm able to fairly reliably find the US export versions at H-Mart and similar stores.
If you live elsewhere, you might be able to just find the original Japanese versions.
I will look for that brand ! They all looked Great,
I sooooo much want to try these! You should work as marketeam for this brand, you’re so convincing 😅
Maybe one day!
I remember really loving these noodles about 10 years ago! I'll have to pick some up next time - they are super high quality noodles.
I really wanna try these ramen. And I don't know if it's me, but there's a slight ringing in the video. I wonder what it is, maybe background AC.
This has also been my mom and my favorite instant noodles brand for decades. ❤
That's my favorite. Your flavors are a little different. I like the goma abura taste of the oriental flavor and richness of the miso flavor. I take them to work and make them for lunch.
Thank you both, those looked so good!
If I see those at my local Mitsuwa, I'll be sure to pick one up!
yes theyre good i love the cold noodles great sauce been eating them for a long time
you made it fancy i just add spam n cucumbers
Have you tried Sun Noodle while you were in Hawaii? I know you typically stay in a hotel and may not have access to prepare an instant noodle dish, but you could have your sister make it at her house for you. BTW, Amanda & Felix recently featured Sun Noodle on their channel. The tantan and tonkotsu are excellent. Sun Noodle doesn't have dried instant noodles so difficult to compare to Myojo. Myojo also has refrigerated noodles, so you could compare their's to Sun.
Now I have to check out the Asian stores in my area and see if they carry the flavors of Myojo you just featured.
Mahalo for this video.
Thanks for the recommendation! I’m going to try these when I’m in Japan end of this year 😊
I agree, this is the best instant noodle, I'm surprised that Satoshi had never tried it before!! It is pretty expensive, but I think it's worth it!
It's so good!
I have been trying for over a year to get the first ramen with the mustard packet, and even spoke with a representative from the company who said it was discontinued over a year ago. Where were you able to get a version with the mustard packet? Thank you in advance!
We got it at our local supermarket. Usually sold during the summer months.
I love these noodles. So much cheaper in japan
Wow it’s so cheap! In Hawaii it’s like $2.50 for one.
Wow better than a Ginza restaurant 😮
I bought a bunch of instant ramen in Japan and got randomly stopped at HNL. They confiscated the ones with chicken and egg products. I had no idea it wasn't allowed. I was SO BUMMED! They told me they would put me on their "list".
Ohhh I know they’re pretty strict with any meat products. Didn’t know about not being able to bring in egg products though
@@Shinichisworld I think it has something to do with the bird flu. I wanted to ask more questions, but the guy told me he could fine me $300. So I shut my mouth!!
I love miso ramen.
I going to buy all of them when I am in Tokyo next month, hope to find them
My sister and I LOVE the blue packet, but they seem to be very very hard to find here in the states. I would love to know if anybody has found these available online anywhere!
Just looked on Amazon -- besides all sorts of ramen, they also have udon and Yakisoba. Thanks for the recs, guys, I will try!
I’m in Tokyo now, at what store can I find these Myojo collaborations ?
You can find them at almost any supermarket. Try looking for a Summit or Seiyu.
Thanks!
We got them at the Summit in Sugamo. So excited to try them when we go home.
Mahalo!🌺
tHIS IS FAR BETTER THAN SAPPORO ICHIBAN (EVEN THOUGH SI IS STILL DECENT)
The combination of the happy, appreciative slurping and the heartfelt "Mmmmmm"s has made me _very_ hungry!😋 I'll be looking online for that brand of Ramen, for sure. Thanks, guys! 💙💚
