I was also told as a preventative to use Tea Tree Oil in distilled water vand spray it on your scalp and hair after shampooing and drying. I use about 10-20 drops per cup of water in a spray bottle. I mix in clove oil and lavender as well but its totallybok to just use the Tea Tree Oil.

Just get tea tree oil put in a bucket of luke warm water then put dreads in
