if u take the cover off the original inlet that blue piece screws on to it....u are correct closing off the other inlet makes a huge difference
nice job
Thanks!
I like the unboxing part lol
Haha
Mine gets air I. The pump when I close it of one side I have a sand filter and a maxi pump and then don't get mutch return out of it
I bought this so I could easily hook up a vacuum but there is zero suction. I have it on the lowest B line which is the one furthest from the pump. I've tried cutting off the other line when vacuuming and its terrible. If i have a small skimmer on my filter, can I not just hook the vac up directly to the filter? This is beyond frustrating
Well u convinced me to not get one...and i thank u for it.
I have this skimmer and pump. When I put the hose on the inlet, the water went down (half way) in the first chamber to the pump. Is it suppose to do that? I don't want to ruin the pump
Not sure. Would have to see it.
Yes its normal. Mine came with a plug with a quarter inch hole in it for the second inlet/suction hose. Just install it when your trying to skim the pool. It does some skimming without the plug. The skimmer body needs to be deeper in the water the blue part floats and will adjust to the water level. Love it. Only issue I have is sometimes leaves will plug the screen at the bottom of the skimmer. This will cause the pump to cavitate and ruin it.
The blue part for me keeps coming off
doesnt need to pull it down, it will settle as long as it gets it on top.
Hello! Do you put your chlorine tablet in the skimmer?
No, but that’s not a bad idea
Mines get loose I tighten it with those clamps but I had to use zip ties
I got rid of it and now use a hayward scimmer.
Hi i have a "L shape" pool what would be the best cover to buy the size is roughly 15' by 30 then L's out to a 8' x 8' at one corner ?
I have no idea. They sell cheap tarps at Harbor Freight?
@@MikeDoesDIY I’m talking about solar covers
What did you screw it into? The actual pool frame?
It has plastic clamps I just got mine. It just kinda screws on to the frame. No holes or drilling.
Yes, paying special attn to miss the fabric.
Here is to hoping you're still going to get a thru-wall skimmer
Looking Into it.
Hello what size sand filter pump do you have? is it 14 or 16 inch. Thanks
Not sure. I took video of it in my last upload
Cuál es mejor Intex o beswsrties
Any help
Take apart the inlet and you can use it
Thru wall is better. I put on a Hayward skimmer on mine.
Yes. Now is just laying on my yard. It will be easier for vacuuming. I hard plumb it like your, to a clear rubber hose to the pump
To add. It looks like you are in a warmer climate. I am in NY. Since I have the Hayward skimmer I leave the pool through the winter, I don't store it.
I have a video on that as well
I thought you were gonna get a wall skimmer. Those don’t really work.
Seems to work pretty well so far.
@@MikeDoesDIY that’s good.
That skimmer will work fine with a sand filter, ran one for years, does what it was designed to do and does it well, plus you don’t need to cut a hole in your liner, I was just about to fall for the wall type, and you can run your water deeper with this than a wall mount
@@MikeDoesDIY mine didn’t. It kept going at an angle and it was too deep. Couldn’t figure out how to raise it so it was an actual skimmer. It would just fall off
You don't have a clue!
