In this video, I show how I repaired and reassembled the throttle lever trigger / switch for this BC415 petrol strimmer / brush cutter. It had been snapped at the point which holds it inside the handle assembly but not snapped all the way through luckily so I figured out a way to hold the broken parts together with a simple cable tie (or zip tie). After fixing the switch it was on to a thorough check from fuel delivery to ignition to find out why it wouldn't run. It turned out the only issues were the fuel jet was blocked and the fuel tank had a leaky rubber grommet so once those were sorted, it ran beautifully and my garden got a good trim up. I had to grease trigger because it kept getting stuck. I also Grease the cable for the throttle. When I tore it apart that little spring pop out that's the return for the safety switch and and throttle lock. For the life of me I could not figure out how it went back together. Until I saw your little video. Once I saw how that safety trigger and throttle lock all went together with that little spring .I put it back together in 5 minutes. Thank you for the good shots on where everything went together that was a great video it saved me a whole hell of a lot of time and effort I thought I was going to have to buy a new one I give you five stars and 10 thumbs up thank you

Hey, thanks for watching and the great comment 👍. I'm so pleased the video helped, that's the reason I make them and it makes it all worthwhile if it helps someone. That's a very good idea to grease the cable 👍. I'm the same, I'd much rather fix something and save my cash than have to buy new😉

Hi Dan, great tutorial, thankyou. Are all triggers on these apparatus universal? Just took mine apart on a T-mech strimmer and there's bits and springs everywhere!!!

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. I imagine a lot are mostly universal but of course some manufacturers will have used their own designs too so will be a case of careful looking and logical thinking to figure out, I hope it works out ok🤞

Where can you buy a spare trigger from?

Hi, thanks for watching. The only places I'd imagine would be eBay, maybe Amazon or of course garden tools and equipment shops. Would have to do a bit of online searching I reckon. Good luck with the search, hope you find what you need🙏👍
