Hi Tyler, Thank for all the tutorials on World creator 3 they have been very helpful as a new user of WC. I was wondering if you will have a dedicated video on Map tiler. I have been trying to get some good resolution on specific area in Utah but the Sat image come a bit lumpy and not very sharp.

It'll be in a video very soon since it's part of the shape layers, I'm currently making videos of each shape layer type.

Yes! I’ll be recording that video next week actually! I have a list of videos in a specific order and MapTiler is coming up soon!

Awesome tutorial line of vids :D When using the grid tool to elevate, which shortcut did you use to increase/decrease smoothing radius?

Is there an option to add a custom mask stamp for sculpting? Example, I have a logo that I want to use to sculpt a mountain shape or a lake outline shape. Thanks for your excellent job guys! :)

Yes, all the distribution layers, including masking are coming to all the shape layers. I don't know the ETA on that yet but the DEVs have confirmed it.

Ive owned WC for quite awhile now, however the issue i had is that i could not set a size of 1024 or lower and do fine details for game modeling :Example a really small town on a hill with a detailed landscape. I would have to make it massive and export to Max downsize yada yada. that being said I could just as easily use Max's tools to get a similar but obviously not as detailed model without a lot of post work. Is this something that has been addressed ? to explain a little further and be more clear, at the size i mentioned WC would not allow for me to go into that kind of detail. So imagine a terrain "Game" using a 2k map in gaming that is actually kind of big. like a lot of levels in doom or other lets say. are we able to get that detailed now?

I am learning things about WC from these videos, but these are very poor tutorials. They skim through topics at the very highest level, don't actually show you most of the steps required to complete the tasks described. They do not talk about the concepts/workflow required to actually understand how to accomplish your own goals. Unlike the advertisements, WC is NOT a zero learning curve application. Like all applications that use complex mathematical formulas to accomplish the final result, they are very difficult to learn, because as a non-math person, none of the terms really mean much to me. All options need to be tried to get a "sense" of what will happen, and there are a lot of complex interactions between different layers. While some of the concepts related to handling these layers are mentioned in the video. The new user is left to stumble and flounder along with no real referenced to what most of the buttons do, and very important concepts simply skimmed over in the most casual of ways.
In future video attempts, please explain the editing workflow concepts to achieve different kinds of goals. Show the steps taken to create the effects of the screen, don't just say "look I'm mousing over this thing with this brush selected, it does these neat things and is AWESOME".
