    As a hater of blokette, I will say I hate tracksuits, sweat pants and football jerseys (I'm european so footbal) so putting together an aesthethic that I hate with another that I love 8coquete), it's gonna make me hate it, for the most part, no offense if you like it, but I don't want an aesthethic that maakes me look like I'm going to do sports, I may like sporty but it's not enough to save blokette, in my eyes.

      I 100% get this, I'm European and I hated any sporty/laxed clothing (and especially when people tried to make it fancy/business appropriate). I think after moving to the US and having a partner who literally collects soccer jerseys, my opinion about it has shifted. People here dress in such a relaxed manner compared to most European countries, it's an interesting difference. But 100% understand where you're coming from! :)

      @@jemi_ It can be business appropriatte depending really where you work, My work place as a very relaxed attire, because we have to change to a uniform once there, so for the most part we are free to wear what we want, I will say that you see a lot. like a lot of sweatpants, leggings and really relaxed fits, so most people dress casual as hell, but never you will find me in sweatpants unless I decide to startdoing sports and that is highly unlikely (it's the bane of my existence). The realxed type of fits for me are cargo pants, a sweater, a t-shirt or even a turtleneck (during winter) and sneakers and maybe a tennis skirt.
      Europe still is more "put together" even if few things are becoming more relaxed .

      I feel the same way! I also hate all the polyester in general and like sports jersey texture/shape on me

      I hate polyester for the most part, but the fabric itself is not the reason I hate track suits, sports jerseys / sport stuff in general, This is going to be long and English is not my first language... Sorry in advance.
      I also understand where you are coming from by hate the texture / feeel on you.... I hate scratchy stuff on my neck.
      I also think there is this demonization of ovverall synthethic fabrics (polyester, polyamide, acrylic, etc.) they aren't inherently bad nad they are good for specific things, some aspects of them are better than natural, not all of them but some stuff, we all love natural fibers but not all of us have the capacity to buy high quality coton ( a T-shirt uses around 2,700 litres of water, even if its low quality cotton), or silk (you have cheaper silk and way more expensive silk, a lot matters it defining which is which), you also have good quality man-made fibers, obviously fast-fashion uses more cheap materials and cut corners when they can, which in turn makes us hate synthethic fibers and kinda glorify natural fibers.
      Also I studied fashion, I may not really work in the industry or follow trends/ runway show and stuff, but I'm still into it, like a lot, I dress up whenever I can, I do dress like a 12 year old to work because I don't feel confortable going in another way, I experiment with styles and aesthethics, so my personal style is all over the place, sometimes cute sometimes more basic and other times nostalgia based.
      I think time is too short to be stuck in on style

      @@lillilium1914 This is such interesting and valuable information, thank you for sharing it! I've definitely noticed the issue with even more expensive brands cutting corners with the materials they use. And I think it's wonderful you have lots of variety in your personal style ♥ I don't restrict myself into any boxes, aesthetics or categories either (though I used to) :)

    I’m not really a fan of blokette. It’s just not really my thing. I do love Mary Jane’s!
    If I’m being honest, I actually love most of these trends. And I also love western style, but not the gothic part.
    The only trends that I outright hate are wrap around glasses and oversized bags!
    Also, can you make a video on wearable spring trends?

    • @jemi_
      @jemi_  6 месяцев назад +1

      Nothing wrong with liking the trends! I think I had a better time with the spring trends of 2023 (apart from a few weird ones like the no pants trend) because they were easier to style/less niche than some of these. And omg, I would love to make a video on wearable spring trends ❤ Would you prefer it to be an outfit inspiration video or rather just me talking through what I think is easy for most people to style? ☺

    • @melodysafo5437

      @@jemi_ A mix of outfit inspiration and what is easy for everyday people to style. And by the way, is there a possibility that any of these trends will continue into summer?

    • @jemi_
      @jemi_  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@melodysafo5437 Noted, I will have that video out next week hopefully, so stay tuned! 😊 And yes, I 100% believe most of these trends (at least the ones that don't require heavy layering) will continue into summer - trends tend to trickle down to everyday individuals slower than people heavily involved in the fashion world, so it makes sense that the trends continue to live on for a bit longer even as new "summer designated" trends will get introduced. If you think about mermaidcore for example, I started talking about it in February 2023, but it only became popular late spring/early summer.
