Since the year 2000, 1000/500 with a ping of under 10 is standard here, now days 2000/2000 - 8000/8000 is fast for residential (we call it hyperfibre).
Having viewed many videos on rooms - $250 is high for that room no table and chairs, tv, sitting area or utensils. Frankly, $150 is about all it would warrant. Cheap as chips! Thus, you could buy a few bits and bobs still come out ahead.

Haha. You promised your next video would be a good one and you didn't disappoint. Can you just clarify if all the rooms that are 150 have a bedroom or if some of them are studios? Also, in future videos when doing these kind of tours would you be able to a tell us the rough square footage of the units if you can get that information? It would be helpful to compare across the different properties. And I'm sure you know but when you're listening with headphones it still goes in and out of coming through just one earpiece or both at times. No biggie but it would be a slight improvement. Finally, just want to say thank you so much because this is helping me solidify my plan to move over there 10 months from now. It will actually be feasible for me. Edit: I'm locked in at a great price here of $1180 a month with small rent controlled increases but I'd be living on less than that over there. Amazing!

They did have a bedroom door on the 2 bedroom however It was rented at time of filming. As far as sq ft I have yet to see anyone in Cambodia know this including our own apartment.😂 I would say perfect size for single guy or gal or a couple. The ground floor studios have private patio great for grilling food. We are still working out the audio issues 🙏 Thanks for the feed back.

A lot of it come down to location. Example Our 2 bedroom apartment is 200 month with 1 yr lease . However it’s all Khmer owned and residents. I’m the only westerner here. And it’s outside of town. Maybe 300 if in town. We just try to highlight beginner apartments for new expats that are western friendly. 🙏🏼 we are looking into more expensive rooms that are in town for contrast at the moment

There's a large multi stage development near the Makro Market called Tourism City. It looks like it was a big development hit hard by covid, a big Hotel was being built there that doesn't seem to be finished. ( I did photo interpretation in the military so I notice things possibly many miss in aerial images) Anyway it is a massive development that looks like it has an interesting story and has full town houses at moderate rates, but I haven't seen any vids on the place.
Rent works out to about $1473.88USD/month for a entry level rental in a smaller town or out of the way in NZ. Includes nothing. A room in a student flat might be $370 - 500USD/month but you'd have to like drinking, smoking be under 25 and be studying for that.

So... please tell me how one is supposed to cook in a kitchen that has no burner. At least there was certainly none that I could see. Also, bathrooms with no divider between the shower and the shitter is like, wtf?
These are directly geared towards minimalist, couples or single people single burner stoves are very popular here and they cost about $20 at the local market. I know it is not common to have any divider between the toilet and the shower. That’s a tradition. Khmer bathroom. Also street food is very very cheap . Everybody has different needs. We spent a lot of time at one of the cafés where they have air-conditioning during the day and we use their Wi-Fi for free and also gets this out of our room Linda and I are digital nomads too though we appreciate a small space in Cambodia because electricity is so expensive. There is no central air in Cambodia so each room has its own air con. Standard at every home and apartment. We have many more apartment reviews coming soon so hopefully you will find one that works for you. We run aircon at night to sleep only . No way is that place acceptable! No night stands or lamps. No TV. Just an empty room with a bed. The kitchen. What a joke. No hot water kettle or microwave. Whatever you paid for this unfurnished hotel room was too much. The owners are NOT prepared for guests and should not be open.

No way is that place acceptable! No night stands or lamps. No TV. Just an empty room with a bed. The kitchen. What a joke. No hot water kettle or microwave. Whatever you paid for this unfurnished hotel room was too much. The owners are NOT prepared for guests and should not be open.
