I love The Prophesy! I find it so heartbreaking and honest.
I have to say that you have to give the album another try, but this time don’t do the songs in order. That changed things for me and I was able to enjoy more songs that I had dismissed the first time. There are still some songs that I don’t get the hype for, but that’s whats kinda great about the albums, she kinda gave a bit of pop, synth, folk and even some country-ish that may speak to some people’s preferences. 😊
Yes, totally agree. That was our general sentiment that it would be much better re-arranged and compressed. But alas our criteria "is the album good?" which means we listen in order as the artist intended. - Alex
