He attacked first but that doesn’t mean he started it. If he was really a mad man he would have started the war in the very beginning of his presidency in 2001. He held countless talks and meetings with the western leaders since 20 years. Trying to voice their concerns and demands trying to resolve this conflict peacfully. But the Americans And European leaders didnt listen . They were too arrogant of being rich nations. 2022 was the tip of the ice berg and the time to talk was over. Yes its going slow idk why. But tell me . U think its that hard for Putin and Russian Army to just assassinate Zelensky and just siege entire Ukraine tomorrow?? Every body knows its not. This was is a direct challenge to the Western hegemony who no one dared to challenge but Putin did. And all i hope is they win this quickly. My heart goes for Putin and Russia. Yeah I think he's trying to walk a fine line and stand up for India's interest too. That's understandable. I think it was commendable that he had the character to reprove or admonish Putin on his policy in Ukraine. That took some courage on his part especially in what Russia has traditionally considered it's backyard.
Russia is also India's friend like the west. This statement does not mean we are schooling Russia or something we are just telling war is not the solution

Well, Russia has captured a ton of quality territory, it's currency is the strongest in the world, oil prices are high, so Russia is getting richer. Prices in Russia are dropping while they're skyrocketing in the western world. Meanwhile, Europe has a looming energy & food crisis about to hit this winter. This war is greatly in Russia's favour, at least in terms of economics and security, as they will have a large buffer against NATO.
