Sonic 3 & Knuckles (with voices!) Episode 7: Mushroom Hill Zone

The Death Egg has fallen back on Angel Island, and Sonic finds himself in the deep mushroom-infested forest known as the Mushroom Hill Zone. Quickly spotting Knuckles suspiciously leaving a secret area, Sonic and Tails discover a portal to the alter of the Master Emerald. Once there, the Chaos Emeralds disperse across the chamber, transformed into Super Emeralds. Upon activating a Super Emerald, Sonic gets warped back to the Mushroom Hill, and he has to find additional portals back to the chamber in order to activate all the Emeralds...

I'm aware of Sonic Origins and I must respectfully disagree about it being better than the original. I'm not a fan of the new soundtrack, although I will admit it visually looks better. I did make a video of the cutscenes with voices added and also included the Big Arms fight.
