My John Deere zero turn doesn’t give me too many issues with moving in my trailer but it is something to worry about, next season I’m gonna switch to at least 1 stand on. That spartan looks crispy!
I've been in lawn care for years I do it for a living just like yourself ninja I've used Scag Exmark John Deere Hustler Ferris as a matter of fact my dad is a certified Ferris mechanic and dealer and I do not use Ferris simply because the warranty I also had a problem like you did with Skaggs warranty I ultimately chose Kubota 34 horsepower FX series Kawasaki engine Parker pumps hold the hill better than any mower of ever been on as far as a sit-down and absolutely does amazing and wet grass I tried out every mower before mine the last two that I have purchased and Kubota came out on top home price performance and the warranty is unbelievable I like your videos keep up the good work brother
I feel like the Spartan is the move if you're just starting out and land a few contracts with acreage. With most of the others you're basically paying for their name.
Also the mower is made by the same guy that created bad boy. He got into with some execs at bad boy and he left from bad boy and created spartan. It is a cool looking rig just don’t know much about it and can’t take a 10k Chance
He made bad boy what it is. What he didn't like was they were cheapening the product to cater to the big box stores, while raising prices. They were worried he would do exactly this. I have had Grasshoppers, Exmark lasers, Bush Hog Estate mowers, and Kubotas. Spartan may have a few issues, but hands down the most comfortable and intuitive designs available. Dollar for dollar they are unmatched.
Never had a problem with the emergency brake on my grasshopper or John Deere my Spartan I've never been able to get the emergency brake to hold as far as them rolling around on the trailer I always strap my machines down it doesn't take that much extra time if you have a good system great video👍👍
I bought a spartan first year they came out it’s the srt pro 54. It lasted 2 seasons and I had to replace it mainly the deck is crap compared to any other mower look at the bolts holding mower to the hinge they are tiny so if you hit anything which we all do they snap easily. And you mentioned that control panel being under warranty it’s not they wouldn’t replace mine in my second year with it calling them directly they wouldn’t because I want a dealer and my dealer said they said no. The cut was nice at first decor fir turns it would leave mowhawks everything where found that the blades on the 54 where to far apart the edges were about an inch away from each other the 61 was much closer it didn’t have that issue. The marker of this mower as one of the guys who made bad boy. They split. Hope you have better luck than I did but the cost is what you pay for.
Biggest thing with breaks is make sure to not have the break set during hulling. The 4 point strapping will keep it secured and then any and all movement is not constantly put on the break. 1000 pounds is hard to hold still with just a great in the hydro or small pads on a disk.
The real question is how much are u getting paid to use that mower... 42,000 subs with a market that is directly in tune with the people in demand for their product... they have them here in my town couldn’t pull the trigger on it, too much money with no reviews and not enough time out to see quality.... we went with Ferris
@@tarozama2666 I have only cut my yard 4 times in the last 4 week, but so far so good. I cut 2.5 acres in 45 minutes on my 60" maverick. I have the Honda engine and still havent burnt a whole tank of gas!
Just a little inside hint altho i do like those Spartan mowers ninja but they didn't come up with that quick adjustable deck height Kubota did which is all I use they copied them
ZTR's Are all about the same. the only options are the Pumps, engine's, and decks........ that's it.....Sure you can put bells and whistles on it, fenders on the front casters, BLA BLA BLA...... Blade tip speed, and fans on the pumps is the most important things.......
I just got a srt hd 61" with a kawasaki efi. I got mine for 9,500. Has the chute blocker, front bumper, and stress pads. I mow 55 acres over 3 properties. Absolutely love, about to trade in our turfy and exmark for another. Spartan is the new move
I got the Spartan SRT XD with the Kawasaki 1000, I believe it is 38.5hp. I got the one with the tweels in the front and back and spring shocks in the front. I love it. The dealer in Sparta, TN has them in stock. I got mines for 11k flat. I got it for personal use, it maybe a little overkill for my size yard but for me it was go big or go home. Lol
As a warranty mechanic i can tell you theyre all pretty much the same mower in Different wrappers its all about what the warranty covers and deck design.. brands with longer commercial warranty are the 10k brands.. stuff with 90day or 6month commercial is the 3k-5k price range.. from an engineering pov a stander mower should be much easier and cheaper to build you should check out a bradley stander... For the price its the spartan of stander mowers commercial stander for 4-5k decent warranty and outstanding service they will bring you a replacement mower if yours goes down even like 400miles away
My issue is that don't have a SRT model in a 48" cut. 54" is too big for alot of my yards. Unless they change til then i'll be still using a Exmark or a Scag.
The 2018 and newer turf tigers the breaks are different never have any issues with the breaks but our 2016 turf tiger break never holds no matter what you do to it
Just bought the basic 48 with a Kawasaki 730 motor. I paid 5300 cash on hand with a 30 day money back guarantee. I have cut 10 acres in my first day. Its a beast an I am well pleased. I cut knee high grass on a 1. On a acre, no stumps or hole. I only need to do one pass an done. People in my area buy machines from home depot, lowes, or walmart for the same price an the equipment they are buying is garbage in comparison to the Spartan. The spartan build quality alone is worth the money. Mowers are like vehicles, you have some that love dodge, some fords, others love Chevy. However if you take care of your equipment it will.last an take care of you

Spartan mowers look badass but wont hold up I work at a dealer we sale Hustler , snapper pro , bad boy ,and Spartan and scag along with a few others the Spartans are awsome until you hit 150 hrs then there like bad boy they fall apart we are looking at dropping bad boy and spartan after this season . Me personally you cant beat a hustler

I have the 54” 25hp Briggs Spartan and love it. They are very reasonably priced, I gave $5400 for mine in KY.
I have a Hustler Raptor 52”, and I’ve had it for about 6.5 years and I have not had any issues. Great mower!

I would prefer of the sit down. I could not stand more then 5 minutes without needing to sit down.. but everyone has their preference

I have the a 2016 RT PRO love the mower and have had no problems with it. Happy you like your 2020 Spartan.

I've seen the advertisements for the Spartan I like the tensioning system for the belt keeps it from flopping
The lifetime warranty only applies to the PTO switch, the Control Panel only has a 3 year warranty

My Hustler Super Z has brake drums just like a car when you open the handle bars it applies the brakes and it don’t go anywhere
