Today I´m going to finish the butterfly ring. First I casted the ring in 18 K yellow gold, cut the sprue and sanded the surface. After that I enameled the piece with black fire enamel and the butterfly was ready for the diamonds stone setting. Last steps polish and shine. Thanks for the support.

Hello from Spain!! I prefer to use little higher than 18K to be sure that the hallmark is ok. Because sometimes I use refined gold (not in this case) and usually refined gold is 9,8 or less purity. That´s why I always multiply by 0.32 instead of 0.333 :) I love Japan!!! My Yasui casting machine are from there and I was in Tokyo few years ago and I really like your country.

You do great work and your stone setting skills are wonderful. I’m a jeweler too and I have a son with multiple disabilities. It touches my heart to see that you’ve become an accomplished jeweler in spite of your disabilities. It’s very inspiring. I’ve seen plenty of able bodied people that can’t do what you do...and you do it so well. I really don’t understand the hateful people that gave this video a thumbs down. They are idiots. They have no idea what it takes to be a jeweler.

Being in a chair can really trip you up in your day to day life, sometimes getting educated in a trade is something that people can't handle with their disability. Stigma in the classroom is one issue. So the fact that he learned a trade and mastered the trade is admirable..
Plus not being able to use your legs is really fucking depressing in my experience, and it's hard to master a craft like this when it hurts to be alive. It's not just "his hands still work" like a disability is something you have to continually overcome.
