Another great video, Dave! And although our Harris is nearing 2 yrs old and has hunted successfully for 2 seasons, I _knew_ I'd still learn from your tips with Henry! We don't often reward her when she flies from the ground to the glove during training, but we have done because I never really thought about it. Now I understand why that's rather avoided and won't do it any more. 👍

it looked to me that Mr. Freebird *always* has food on the glove...?
just amazing how quickly Henry catches on... (Henry: "I'll just have a quick gander at the book, while I'm sitting here in the tree...ah, yes, *that's* the game!")

Another brilliant video, very informative as always, Henry is coming along nicely and its nice to see that he doesn't always need hand signals just incase you're out and don't have your other hand free for whatever reason

Harris Hawks are typically vocal in their 1st year and become progressively less vocal the more you fly and especially the more you hunt with them ?

Possibly abiut the typical although mine have been quiet and that’s what I’ve always strived for as previously they were kept at home and tbh I don’t think it’s fair if you have neighbours close by . Once hunting well and often I’d expect a noisey one to get quiet met as you say and a lit quiter after twonir three years …
