  • Fourteen-year-old Craig's idea of harnessing solar power in space for an alternative, environmentally-friendly energy source on Earth has won him a trip of a lifetime to watch the Inmarsat I-6 F2 satellite launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
His idea was chosen from 100s of entries by Scouts Ambassador and astronaut Tim Peake, in our nationwide UK Scouts challenge which invited 10-18-year-old Scouts and Explorers to come up with ideas of how satellites could help life on Earth in the future.
Craig from the 95th Reading Scouts Group won the 10-14 year-old Scouts category.
