Honestly, one way to "fix" the elusive-only strategies would be to give elusive-blocking access to more regions. I mean, Shurima has Quicksand, Demacia and Targon have silences... most elusive have low HP, so removal spells like Mystic Shot are pretty good, too... But why can't we have a Blocking Badgerbear aka Boris in every region? Literally, a badgerbear per region that you could run as a one-off, with different stats, of course, to make sure they're not broken in certain regions. Demacia cares more about the stats, so it's a 4/4 there. ...but imagine Ceaseless Badgerbear (SI), Pranking Badgerbear (BnC + BW), Mechanic Badgerbear (PnZ), Attacking Badgerbear (Nx, possibly with 5 attack but only 1 health or something?), Freezing Badgerbear (Fr), Conflicted Badgerbear (Ionia), and the Praying Badgerbear (Targon + Shurima). All of them with "I can block elusives" but outfitted with different stats. If every region can theoretically build against elusives, it becomes less of a problem, similar to equipment-removal and landmark-removal now being a thing in every region.
It sounds like it-s an amazing idea!! Do you think that they would have any other mechanics/text based on the region they are or just "i can block elusive units"???
29:18 I've always favored changing elusives such that they can only block other elusive units, and can't block regular units. That way you get offensive power, but its at the cost of defense most the time. I think the devs meant to evoke the power of the Flying keyword from Magic: the Gathering, however flying isn't nearly as threatening as elusive because once a flying unit attacks, they can't block next turn. In LoR attacking doesn't cost you the ability to block, so "advantaged attack" keywords are way stronger as there's no cost to using them. Limiting elusive blocks to other elusives works that cost back in.
IMO elusive should be changed to "units with bigger power can't block me", that keeps the functionality of smol champions like teemo and Zoe, while preventing the toxic "buff elusive and win" play pattern
Don't know if you have it in the works, but a proliferating darkwraiths feel so much better to play with the new cards from PnZ, especially the temple. Hope to see you visit that decl again some day soom.

I took your concept of the Janna/Bard deck and changed things around a bit, adding two of the Called Shot and 3 of Chime Slime. So this seems like a concept I can get behind as well.
I've been climbing through Plat/Diamond using Valley of Imitation + Beguiling Cobra combo deck and I laugh every time I pull it off. It's so silly how well and often it works.
Ive been playing the 3 drop that adds +3/+3 to 3 random units in this deck with ekkos. and its been pretty fun. forgot about kahiri ngl. so gonna try him out next. ty snnuy
I still think sunken temple is the most bs card of the expantion. I love the deck(printer + khahiri, what's there not to love) I just loath that card sooo much. It feels that any zoan deck gets +5% win rate just by slotting it in just because of the value it provides you on its own, not to mention if you have some other synergies. I mean, +1 card drawn per turn, mass discount on everything that was in your hand... well that's it but do you seriously need more? Elusive rework idea: Make it elusive for the first 3 rounds the cars was played . Afterwards remove the keyword and add +1/+1 or smth to balance losing the keyword
I was thinking about the elusive problem. If you altered the elusive keyword so that your elusive units cannot gain attack anymore, wouldn't that help the problem while keeping the whole "can't touch this" aspect ? (The exemple of the bard elusive comes to mind, if he can't gain attack from chimes, it keeps it's fantasy of buffing allies while discreet whithout him being able to 20-0 your nexus. Maybe make it so that damage buffs go to hp instead (to allow some memes like big elusives with the galio keyword) ?

Game 4 opponent had 3 Sisters in Hand with 6 mana up while attacking with 9 damage overwhelm. Entomb on Blocker was lethal.

They get ONE unblockable attack, and then the keyword is removed
So kill every card that needs nexus strikes or teemo..k
