  • If your going to venture out solo - a winch is a MUST. I've been using this 9500lb Rough Country winch for about 3 years and have had it on multiple vehicles. Now with the bronco here, I moved it over using the Rough Country High Mount Winch. They also have a hidden winch bracket, but I like the way this one looks and the ability to access the clutch.
You can find the winch here:

    And the bracket here:

A local guy installed this setup and installed the RC 20” light bar as well. Pictures as well as your video don’t do this setup justice as to how good it looks. I know winches are not a “looks” item, and RC has a mediocre reputation, but the winch mount is pretty badass (Personally, I recommend the light bar). He also installed a bull bar over the top of the whole setup, and that looks amazing as well.

Thanks for the vid, looking to go with that mount. Question...was there any sag in the front of your Bronco? How much sag? Thx.

I didn’t measure, but maybe ½ inch. I actually think it helped the ride a little. 2dr was very stiff in the front.

I’m sorry if have missed something, but do you still work at/for Custom Offset?
If you don’t and it was not a good ending, I’m sorry for asking.

Great install video. I will be doing mine myself now, instead of paying someone. How do you like the rough country winch? Has it ever failed you? I am looking at rough country, open road and smity.

Check out my other video on breaking and fixing the winch. The solenoid failed, but was an easy fix. That’s the only issue I had in 4+ years w/ lord of abuse.

you didn't move your sensors or the front camera? Do you know if I will need to remove the bumper if I need to relocate the sensors?

Thanks for the video! You could put the winch on last so it’s not as heavy for one man job, correct??

No, I don’t think you could.

Good content, any plans for a new sleeping setup, or are you just going to tent it?

I'm working through a couple ideas. Obviously storage space is a concern, but Id prefer to be inside the truck that in a Roof Top Tent. I don't mind ground tenting it, we all did that for years, but ground tents suuuuuck in the rain.

For now, Jeep Wrangler has Ford Bronco beat when it comes to integrated winch in the steel bumper.

The OEM WARN winch option is great on the bronco. This is a good affordable alternative.
