I saw Bob on his Farewell tour. The first song was 'Shakedown'. It was a great way to start the show. He was amazing at an age that most are in a rocking chair doing nothing. 🤟
Bob is one of my favorite artists ever and I never got to see him. I had so many opportunities and timing was always off.
@LIT70 I see those black n white pics of him performing in bars an clubs in the 70's with his long hair and you can just FEEL how great those nights were. I'm thankful I saw him in Mannassas,Virginia. The place was a outdoor Pavillion with some seats under a roof an the rest on a giant hill behind the seats. It was sold out. A guy there said it held over 23,000 people. It was really special. Maybe you could watch a concert of his Farewell tour?I'm sure there are some shows filmed in high quality to watch online. Crack open a beer and re-live the night 🍻
I saw that tour in Connecticut. Great show. Two hours of hits.
Eddie should've went to #1 with My girl likes to party all the time party all the time party all the tiiiiiiime! 😂
The worst song I’ve ever heard in my life lol
great song with Rick James singing backup
I'm glad someone really liked it, while I thought it was only "OK." At that time, the record industry was exploring screen and TV actors making records. Do you remember Bruce Willis's single?
Or Boogie in Your Butt
@@bob_mosavooh yeah. And Don Johnson's Heartbeat w/a young Dwezil Zappa on guitar.
Idk why i thought the song was "the heat it on" 😂😂😂
Ya busted
Me to
That song is by Glen Frey
So close was number 2 song
Bob Seger is a legend and he puts on an amazing concert.
I really thought you were going to talk about "Party All the Time". I was so confused!! 😂😂😂😂
This is actually my favorite Bob Seger song and it has been for many years.
Unfortunately, "Shame on the Moon" off Seger's album The Distance was charting at the time that Michael Jackson's Thriller was taking the world by storm. "Shame on the Moon" went to #2 at the same time that Jackon's "Billie Jean" was at #1. Any other time in history, Seger would have had his first #1 on the Hot 100 earlier.
Bob Seger rules!
Beverly Hills Cop, 48 Hours, so many great movies in the 80s. And the music...don't get me started
Shakedown has been lost in my memory banks for years. I plan on it staying there.
Thank you for sharing this story! 👍🏻✌🏼😊
Eddie's disappointed they didn't use Boogie In Your Butt.
In your butt butt butt 😅
Look at some of the crap Seger had to go against for a #1, George Michael, The Whispers, Madonna, Fat boys and the Beach Boys .... Thats back when Rock and Pop were it the same category.
Yeah. Back then, if I remember correctly, at least 2 hits were back to back on a regular month.
Great video.
When I think of the music for this movie I think of Vanity.
The new BHC movie is gonna bomb because Eddie acts like a comic character instead of a serious actor with comedian talents like the first two films but I hope I’m wrong I’d love a good BHC flick we need quality entertainment now more than ever¥
Song is a banger yeah it’s not a classic sounding sugar track. But it’s a fun summer jam
🎶Heh heh, heh HEH HEH heh heh…
Heh heh, heh HEH HEH heh heh…
*Heh - heh - heh - heh* heh heh - - and’en another heh heh, _heh_ heh heh”🎶
...the way you say...and Elvis.😂
I see "Porky's Revenge" got a 3 ⭐ review.
shake down by bob seger . i have video teases so much JUST TELL US
This is my favorite Bob Seger song and my favorite song of 1987 ..... its a travesty that it lost at the academy awards to one of the worst songs of the 80s but what do you expect....
Bob didn't like Shakedown???
You know what they say, Rock n Roll Never Forgets.
Bob seger will always be special to me.. my father told me I was conceived to night moves 😂😂😂😂
Please, don't do titles like this one. Other channels do this style and they're annoying as Hell. That's why I don't watch them.
Edit to clarify: The subject matter is great, the video is great, the sort of guessing game style of title is what I don't like.
Not what I would call “ legendary rock star “ lol
I would disagree
I should say I don’t consider Eddie a rock star
Having been introduced to Murphy as the #1 reason Saturday Night Live even still exists, i loved "48 Hours" & "Trading Places" but thought Beverley Hills Cop fukn sucked & was when i was basically done with Murphy trying to play huge action star instead of what made him. Was so run-of-the-mill i don't remember a single seen scene!
I quite liked Takedown, despite wanting a little more rock at the time. Another overrated artist that was generally mediocre, with a few highlights.
Shakedown is the title of the song.
All the legendary hits Bob Seger has and his only number 1 song is a piece of crap. Unbelievable
Once again, 2 songs aren't "several." 🙄 Also, it wasn't just *Bob Seger* as a simple solo act; no, it was *Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band,* as those albums you flashed on the screen clearly stated. 🙄🤦🏻♂️
Fun Fact, though: The Chevy Silverado is the *only* specific car model that had its own song. No other Chevy model had that song being used in their commercials; not even commercials for Chevrolet in-general used it. No other specific car models for any other car companies had a specific song.
Unfortunately for Bob Seger, he was soundly criticized by almost everyone in the Rock community for allowing "Like A Rock" to be used commercially, a move which inspired Neil Young to write and record "This Note's For You" soon afterwards. (Eric Clapton's use of his new version of "After Midnight" and his former Blind Faith bandmate Steve Winwood's use of "Don't You Know What The Night Can Do" were also major inspirations for this song.) Bob Seger was lucky to have a song that even charted after that, much less go #1.
P.S.: They've made _Beverly Hills Cop IV?!_ 😳
lol tons artists have used their songs for commercials
Baba booey
Awful song.
I hate Shake Down!Seger"s worst song!
