My man, I love your videos. Your respect for the detail is a "Game Changer" for me. You make it seem so easy and clear on how to get some success in growing something good to eat. Thanks again
Louisiana evergreen shallots. Those are my latest onions in the garden. I’m into perennial dividing onions for green onions (walking) and now the shallots give bulbs and more green onions. In summer I’m a bit worn out with the heat to do much more in the garden.
I did from sets this last year and they didn't get big. I learned starting seeds in the fall like with garlic is the way to get big ones. Definitely going to start seeds soon.
HEY Sharon!!! I am so glad you like the tips. I appreciate you subscribing. That is great you are planning to watch all the other ones. Sharon, I must warn you, I have 200 videos😀 You are welcome.
HEY @ DanlowMusic!!! Cool, that's good to know, thanks. Yes, it is a game-changer. I might have to put mine under a heat mat because some of my older seeds are taking a minute.
@@GrowSomethingTasty I haven't seen vermiculite in stores for a couple years but perlite is plentiful. It has changed the way I start seeds for sure. So light it moves out of the way with ease

You are right. Once I tried to start seeds in the fall I was like I'm doing this all the time.
@@GrowSomethingTasty now when is the right time to put them outside? Or should I maybe just plant them around the same time as my garlic outside?
I use the the left over soul scraps too around my plants after I string out the soil
HEY Mz. Jenbrooks!!! That's right, we using everything in that bag. It's going to break down and feed the plants.

What I do is mix the cinnamon in my soil before i plant my seedling or anything. I been doing this for years. ❤❤❤
HEY Missdevemissdeve!!!! Cool, thanks for sharing. I will have to try it.
Perlite works good too. Just started doing that this year and have way better germination than when I did the soil as the top layer. #gamechanger4sure

Will these grow over the winter? Or when do you plant them out
HEY @gmays!!!! Yes, they will overwinter if you are in a zone like mine. I have mild winters. The bulbs won't form until it gets warm again.
When should I transfer my onion out of the starter trays
HEY, I normally do it from October to Dec.
Does it help with the gnats?
HEY Lenelady!!! It does help with them and some other pest and fungus. Google does cinnamon help with gnats.
Who makes the onion seeds what company or nursery you didn’t say
www.edenbrothers.com This is where I got the seeds from.
Thank you I just ordered my onions, but you need to get credit
