The Security of Pants. Sounds like a 70s prog rock album, lol! Love the B roll pics of Jasper and Napoleon totally relaxed on the bed. Great vid. Cheers!
That explains a few lingering questions about the storage. Taking out the microwave really seems to have been a big help. Yes pet food smells lol after moving out I learned that lesson. Thank you Tails of Wanderlust!!!
Cass, you're the only person I've seen on RUclips talking about storage and make it interesting. Lol. Wishing my life was a rough as Jasper's. Looking forward to next weeks video. Safe travels.
Your video was amazing. We are considering the Basecamp but a little worried about storage. I think you covered every area of concern. Thank you. I would love to hear more about your adventures.
So glad it was helpful!! I don’t have the Basecamp anymore but there’s a ton of videos from when I did so hope they are helpful! Good luck on your search!
Just caught your videos and found them very interesting. We have a 20 ft AS Bambi. Enjoyed all the great storage ideas. I have always traveled with all black clothing for the reasons you gave so loved that. I bought stackable soft sided cloth zipped storage bags from Amazon to sort my clothes that work well. Happy travels!
I bet it's nice to have the storage area in the truck bed - separate from any living area. Being so organized sure does have benefits small space and still 4 / 5 weeks between laundromat stops (fresh clean wardrobe so critical). As always very informative doing it right...👍
Excellent use of all the various spaces and areas for storage. Being creative in thinking really helps (along with rearranging things until you get the right combination in place. LOL) Until next time... Travel safe.
Your videos are always helpful. I was going to have fairly heavy stuff in the overhead ( hanging ) storage while traveling. You changed my mind about that. Thanks for the tip.
Great video Cass. Where do you get the cedar litter? Can you get it anywhere? I would think that it's so much better than the clay for many reasons. Yeah, Jasper definately has a tough life. I'm glad to see him getting a chance to rest :).
I've come to think of you as the female Johny Cash in regards to your all black wardrobe.😆 I mean that as a compliment. I always wondered where you stored your dirty laundry. I just figured you put it in your vehicle. I would imagine that another big advantage to your preference for cool weather camping is that it basically eliminates the necessity for the air conditioner which obviously requires a lot of electricity. It's reassuring to learn that my pooch isn't the only one that does that weird dreaming twitchy thing. Can't wait to see how you manage to cram everything in to your Northern Lite in the same meticulously organized fashion that you're notorious for.
I’m surprised you can store that much. This may sound like a dumb question, but do the walls in the BaseCamp feel hot/cold to touch? Also is there any insulation? Love your videos!
I thought I saw a litter box under there? Where does Napoleon use the facilities and how do you keep the odor down in there? Can you trust Jasper to leave Napoleon's food alone?
Yes, the litter box is under the bed, and the cedar litter helps keep the smell down. Jasper is trained not to touch Napoleon's food, so he's really good about that.
Ever been in a situation where you said to yourself “thank god I have two 20# propane tanks”? I just can’t help but think that by the time you’d have to dump your tank you could get also get more propane. I don’t understand the need for 2-20’s
It's a great backup for winter. There was one time I was camping on top of a mountain in a snow storm. Had plenty of food and water for the few days, and with both the tanks I ran the heat almost constantly, keeping it at 70 inside, and never worried about running out of propane
Love those things but storage is horrible. I think about getting one and it always falls back to storage and it literally kills it for me. With a familiar of 4 it’s impossible to get by in the 20x for longer then a weekend…
What do you use for your internet provider? That’s the only thing holding me back. I work remotely but I have to have dependable Wi-Fi. Thank you in advance.
@@TailsofWanderlust funny... I've seen people with trailers sell and switch to campers and I've seen people with campers sell and switch to trailers. I suppose there's no perfect vehicle. I guess it just depends on where you want to go and the kind of roads you want to travel on.
I do. I filmed several Basecamp videos out on my last trip so that I could focus on my class for my Masters throughout May. So I have a backlog of videos to get through.
Thanks for asking Mark! Much better. Going to try to do a year video in June on them. Almost 20/20 and dryness is much better (although I do still use thick eye drops at night)
Depends which area of Canada you are in. It did fine in the snow, but for long extended winter camping in the colder areas of Canada, there are definitely better insulated options.
I am in New Brunswick, the winters are pretty brutal here. I was also checking out the Wolf Pup series and they seem to perform well in those climates. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and wish you all the best.

😂😂 Thanks Johnny!
Great comprehensive video! It’s amazing how much you can store between the base camp and truck.
Agree, there's a lot more storage than I ever would have expected. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video Cass. Thanks for posting. Can't wait to see your next adventure!
Thanks Phil!

You are welcome Chelsea! Thank you so much for watching!
Im glad your doing these lately on the camp again 🙏🏼🍻
Really glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video Cass. Well organized. Jasper has the right idea. Chilling 🤣
Thanks Wes!
You are welcome 🤗
Yes, very comprehensive video. Thank you very much for taking the time.
Very informative.

Must be amazing being tucked away in there during a storm ☺️ warm dry safe food animals cozy 😊
Tim, it's the best!
Thanks for posting! My family of 4 have a 20x and were still learning what and where to store things.
Hope you are enjoying the 20x!
Truly love your Basecamp Airstream!❤ Jasper leads a hard life lols😀 Enjoyed the tour🥰Ty for sharing.😍

enjoying your videos, taking ownership 2/1/2023 of a Basecamp 20x, somewhat overwhelmed but excited.
That’s really exciting congrats!!
Kudos for the cat scratcher table leg.
Thanks Peter!
It's amazing how much you can pack in there
Agree, always surprised me how much stuff fits. Thanks for watching Mike!

Thanks Phil! And yes, the truck bed storage is so nice as I don't have to worry about keeping things as clean in there
Class, thank you very much for this video! I’m trying to decide between the 16X and the 20x, and this video has really helped. ♥️
Janette, I am so glad you found it helpful!

Thanks Brunnie! Agree, it's usually a lot of trial and error (and seeing what falls out while driving!)

Hi Carl! It's Oko Litter. I find it at Petsmart (or Petco can never remember) and also online: amzn.to/3MEvdED
Coolest lady on the planet!
Thank you!
I noticed that you have a mechanism for keeping your propane cover lid up @17:48. Did you add that to your basecamp? What did you use?

They absolutely do feel hot/cold to the touch. There is some insulation but not enough to prevent that
I want a Basecamp sooooooo bad!!!
Thanks for watching!

I also don’t like weather over 65-70 degrees. 😨 What have you found are the best cool weather camping spots in the summer?
High elevation up in the mountains. Colorado has some great camping spots above 10,000' which are usually still nice in the summer.
Use pretty litter
I'll check that out thanks

Cass what happened to the cab-over you were going to set up with the Tundra?
Still have it and starting to work on renovating it. Will have more info out on that near the end of May!
😍
Thanks for watching!
Do you have any issues with plexiglass doors popping open over travels? Any need for securing by bungees?
Thankfully I never had any sort of issue with that
@@TailsofWanderlust got tons of info for my basecamp from you. Sorry to see you sold but happy new adventures!
Cass what brand of tires do you use on the base camp ?
Hi Gregg - They were a Goodyear tire, but can't recall exactly which model they were. They were the stock tires that come with the X package.
Love those things but storage is horrible. I think about getting one and it always falls back to storage and it literally kills it for me. With a familiar of 4 it’s impossible to get by in the 20x for longer then a weekend…

Hi napoleon! What radios do u recommend? I’m looking into Waggle!
Hi Michelle! I have a pair from Midland that I really like

love your basecamp but parent you going to sell it? or didi I miss something?
You’ve got it right, I’m selling it. I’ll have a video out on that in a few weeks

Do you own a Verizon phone or is their a monthly fee for the Waggle pet monitor?
There is a monthly service fee for the Waggle. I do own a Verizon phone, but it doesn't connect via that

@@TailsofWanderlust Okokok. I see. I'm pumped for your new rig. I want to see it. I could do that with my Tundra.
Awesome very soon!
Just pulled out a ton of cabinets last night so renovations are on their way. Videos will be out soon!
What bout first aid kit?
Great catch. That's in the kitchen video I reference. It's located with my toiletries in the cargo net above the sink.
I missed it! 🙄
How are your eyes doing???
Thanks for asking Mark! Much better. Going to try to do a year video in June on them. Almost 20/20 and dryness is much better (although I do still use thick eye drops at night)
