- From the same madman that brought you the Hoonicorn, HHIC Ken Block has dreamed up another bespoke hoon machine, this time made just for Gymkhana TEN: the 1977 Ford F-150 HOONITRUCK. A performance AWD Gymkhana truck motivated by a 914hp Ford Performance Ecoboost V6, derived from the Ford GT engine that won Le Mans. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS KEN.

Frankly, all of the Ken Block Gymkhana videos are incredible stuff. Turn up the volume, put on maximum resolution, and just gaze in awe and listen to the amazing engine notes that car screams or the squealing tires it's burning through.

Also, I'm a Forza player and that truck is in November's car pack so I wanted to see that in action as well. One hell of a machine, for sure. And I may have enjoyed this type of video a lot as BTS type content... However, I don't feel Ken himself is very entertaining... Plain and simple he's boring. It's like watching a lineman discuss game strategy... at the end of the day, this is just an unsatisfying tease when to most people at this point... Gymkhana content simply doesn't have the social relevance it used to, or a devoted enough following to warrant such an extended, drawn out trickle of content.

I'm in the process of putting all Jaguar independent front and rear suspension under my 1973 Ford F100. Not really sure what motor I'm going to transplant into it. Right now it's just a 347 stroker. But I really want something different. Twin turbos 5.0? Twin turbo LS?
Or just stick with my 347 stroker?
I grew up in the 70's. My first auto was a 71 F100 three on the tree. They still turn my head and bring back fond memories.

On a track like daytona, hoonitruck could do the inner lap and the rest and dale could fuck up the oval
This really hit home for me. My dad also had a '77 F-150 standard cab long bed that he bought when I was maybe 5 years old. It was the first engine I ever wrenched on when I helped my dad rebuild the engine when it died a few years later. I eventually bought the truck from my dad and did a bunch of work to it. Cleaned up the engine bay and custom interior, bed liner, paint, and a floor shifter. I had to sell it a few years back when I ran into financial problems and my dad got sick. We had both hoped to do more to it. Maybe I'll get another one some day.
I love that it's a six banger it's kind of refreshing after al of those V8's. Alltough a good ol' V8 will never be boring.

HP is irrelevant with diesels. 1000hp is loads. It'd probably make 3500 or 4000 ft-lbs at that point.
They race lorries and I've been to watch them here in the UK. They have over a 1000bhp and are limited to 100mph for safety. They fly

The comments are probably filled with this but it sucks there’s no V8. I get that Ford really likes their V6, and with reason. It’s not that the V6 is a bad engine by any means, but it’s that this kind of vehicle deserves a V8 for aesthetics if not anything else.
I like the V6, the Hoonitruck is the weirdest and coolest truck I’ve ever seen. The V6 I think adds to the overall wackiness that the truck has.

MrFunRacing as much as i am a V8 child born and raised...this V6 is churning out more horse power in a more linear/efficient way than a lot of V8s with saving weight on the front end which helps with such a large truck.

No one will ever know how you understand and master every vehicle that you interact with. From what I've seen, you are on 'the spectrum', but you have used that to your advantage. I love my V6s but I do feel like this should have been a V8 also. And I think the V6 Ecoboost being in the GT, the Raptor and all their racing cars gives the engine platform plenty of publicity.

8:02, 8:04. That blue block on the firewall. That's a totally awesome way/place to affix things like that. I wish air conditioning equipment had rigid mount plates like that. Like, solid plate with -6 AN male on both sides, held to the wall with 3 or 4 screws. You work on factory A/C equipment and ruin a bit of the hard lines just because it's hard to reach and moves when you try to work on it!
