Literally just found this video I guess because I only discovered u a year ago, but wow this looks amazing and may have to get a hold of it I hope it is decently long I love long rpgs because when the story is good and it's long it makes me feel like I'm part of it by immersing myself into it so yeah I would love this.

I did the game on 3DS and I'm disappoint that they have not add more content in this version. This game have a lot of plot hole, the villain and secondary character are so under developed. The main antagonist/final boss is meh. The world building is nice, but I think they could add one more realm. At first, the game is easy, but be prepare when you are in the Snow Realm there is a big difficulty spike, because of a certain event in the castle (people who have play the game will understand). The soundtrack is really good (I love Masashi Hamauzu work).
No grinding? I'm sold! lol
But seriously, nice review! Came here looking for more info after Nintendo dropped a trailer that basically said nothing.

Due to my following of another RPG channel on RUclips I was introduced to this title, another game I haven't played. It looks like it plays and sounds great and made better by a remaster. This is definitely my type of game.

Just got the Switch version that is on sale since all the reviews I’ve seen are praising it!
The HD remaster is full of QoL improvements. There's even a quest journal, one of the things the original needed the most. I remember picking the game after a couple of days of not playing it and having no clue of where to go. Not anymore!
Day 1 buy now for sure!

Wow the game is so beautiful and you did a amazing job with the review😍😍😍😍. They really improved a lot. I remember seing a bit of 3ds gamaplay in videos and it is great. But this is a Masterpiece. It will attract a lot of new players. I might pick this up in future for Switch collection. 😉

So this is reminding a bit of I am Setsuna, I loved the idea of that game but never completed it as I just kinda of got bored. This one seems a bit more interesting though!
This game REALLY intrigues me. I've wanted to get it on 3DS (I still LOVE my 3DS)... and now that its on Switch, I kind of want to get that too. However, I'm DROWNING in RPGs!

Fuck I'm so hyped, wanted to buy this on the 3ds but I was way to busy with my switch at the time lmao. Anyways how are the characters do they have any interesting development or depth to them?
MAn I got maybe half way through this and got stuck at the castle in the frozen world and kept failing that timed mission where the castle gets attacked. Never went back to it. =(
Well its a good thing I loved saga frontier 1&2 growing up so battles are not gonna to be an issue for me. Can't wait.
Thank goodness I am not to far in the DS version of this game now, I can play it on the big screen. Do you think they will do Ledgend of Legacy next ☺😉
I really enjoyed this on 3DS, but never managed to finish it. I'd definitely say it's worth picking up, but the price tag is a bit steep for a port of a 3DS game to me. When it drops in price, I'd definitely recommend it- especially for SaGa fans.
I definitely don't think this is the best game on the 3ds, but since i missed it before it might be worth a buy on switch now. It kinda gives me a "Golden Sun" pacing feel to it, which i'm down for anytime.
Hope the bring over persona Q or 7th dragon vfd hd remaster. Hell if the remaster Fire Emblem Awakening ill flip out just like their doing with Xenoblade Chronicles HD Definitive.
I never got it because of how bad Legend of Legacy was but apparently this one was super good so 🤷🏻♂️ I guess I’ll have to get it

My favorite 3DS game as well as top 5 RPGs of the past several years. I didn’t preorder this as I couldn’t find any information as to wether it had extra content or anything new in it, or just a straight port. Anyone know?
straight port from what ive heard. well, graphical upgrade and menu optimization for one screen.
Seems like a good game to the go for Switch, but the 50€ pricetag will probably keep me on PC.
Is the story/exploration non linear like SaGa or linear like typical jrpgs but with a SaGa battle system?
I owned this on 3ds (not played) but not sure if i can justify playing full retail price on the switch. Ill pick it up on a sale.

Both games in the franchise (The Legend of Legacy and The Alliance Alive) are two of the best RPGs in the world. But the damn names are just terrible...lol.
Right up there with Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

I had this for 3DS. It’s a really good game. I don’t remember if it had voice acting does anybody remember that?

Not so fast there, muchacho! Unless you've been blessed by the RNG gods, each battle is a chance to increase HP, SP, talent points, awaken new moves, increase attack power, and level up weapon skills. In my opinion, I think the game is very grindy. Not until you unlock new game+ / EX does the game really allow you to flesh out your characters.
All that aside, this game is SO GOOD that you'll be anxious to play the NG+/EX after beating it. Expect your first play through to be a frickin trainwreck. The next play through will run like a well oiled machine making it even more satisfying. Honestly, this was such a great game that even though I've beaten it 5 times on the 3DS, I'd gladly buy it again on the Switch to revisit the old game for another play through. I love it.
I was having fun till a boss killed me. Lost a ton of progress due to lack of save points.
I can't remember how it was in the 3DS version, but this one allows you to save anywhere, but then deletes the data upon loading it up. Also, don't forget that it has the old school "save anywhere on the world map" system.
@@davidvinc I wasn't aware of being able to save on the world map. Will be sure to do that before entering dungeons. Don't see why you can't have a save point before a boss though.
@@Barbaryotaku is it with the passage with vivian ignace and tiggy alone at the beginning of the game, because yeah, at that point, the last save is pretty far indeed. (not more than 10 minutes away since you can speed up everything...)

@@davidvinc booooooo. on the 3DS, i could see why: the game was massive for the console of choice and probably didn't have enough space. even if they did the Fire Emblem Awakening route and did grunts in most with full cg voiced sometimes, i could understand it. but this is a remaster for more powerful hardware WITH upgraded storage space. surely they could've spent some time with voice acting, even if the ones they chose were newbies.
@@kingofmonsters14 well, the original game probably barely break even, any add on expense will be a waste in their eyes.
I loved the first half, then the second half seemed pretty rushed - extremely repetitive dungeons, constant palette swapped monsters, a strange difficulty curve, and a story that feels haphazardly resolved.
It would of been better if i can lvl up characters I like grinding 😅
It showed level ups in the menus tho 😳
I mean this in the nicest way but man I wish you would stop doing let’s plays and focus on doing these reviews I think they are of a much higher quality and are great. One of the best rpg channels around on youtube. And I would be down to do a collab sometime.

Well you can tehnicaly right now. You just need a 3ds emulator and game rom + switch pro controler.
Too expensive for a 3ds remaster and still no VA ...
well, the game didnt break even, so they figure that the people that want to play it will pay it.
Sorry, but it's a bit weird here that people are playing RPG and complaining about the level up that it takes time and grinding... that's a RPG is for. Just go play and stick to Hack/SLASH games.. those are the ones who doesn't need to grind. Just battle your way through by skills. Don't touch RPG game dear reviewer. You're one of the players that destroyed most RPG games because somehow they listen to your kind. There is hardly old school RPG left with grinding and meaning to level up. Go away please
It depends on the RPG. I don't think that Grind is a necessary part of an RPG. It can be fun when done right, but honestly most of the time it felt more like a chore and wasn't fun at all. Plus it's a bit presumptuous of you to tell him to never touch an RPG again just because he doesn't enjoy grind as much as you do. There are plenty of awesome RPGs out there where you don't have to grind hours for levels.
