For me…I would like to see Magneto, Phoenix /Dark Phoenix, Psyloke, Wolverine, Storm, Emma Frost, Iceman, Apocalypse, Sentinels / Master Mold, Juggernaut, Rouge
I think an awesome ability for juggernaut would be he may not do as much dmg as others (to make it fair) but every move he has is unblockable. Like you don’t even roll your block abilities. Also I hope gambit is in there. He’s my favorite
Based on using the marvel license again instead of going with Season 3, it seems clear they wanted to get their money’s worth out of the license. I could easily see them doing another campaign of a mix of more obscure marvel and x-men characters in the future as well.
Good list, Chris. Glad to see some excitement for this campaign. Since they are going to be producing something called "Marvel Dice Throne Missions" as a co-op experience (which I am super excited for), I feel like most of the villains like Juggernaut will be held back for that. I do think Magneto makes it into the main cast of 8 though. His powers just seem to well suited to miss building a hero around. Here's the list of 8 I'm thinking we'll see, including a couple you didn't mention that I think might be good fits. I also tried to keep gender parity somewhat, as I think they will shoot for that. Wolverine Storm Deadpool Jean Grey (flip to Phoenix) Magneto Gambit Domino Rogue
It’s a good list but I think they will definitely have Professor X and possibly cyclops in there. And I would love to see Mystique with abilities that let you copy your opponents powers. My guess is remove Domino and add X, and possibly remove deadpool and add Cyclops
Wolverine & Psylocke = ruclips.net/video/8Ii0mn3LzHw/видео.html Storm & Iceman = ruclips.net/video/1lyYNq_MPiE/видео.html If it is limited to 8 characters, like the last Marvel Dice Thrones, I wouldn't have thought Bobby would have been the fourth character. Other great pairings would be Gambit & Rogue, Jean Grey & Cyclops, Shadowcat & Colossus, Professor X & Magneto
Thx for the video, appreciated it a lot. I love Roxley games but based on the first Marvel one, and common use of Capitalism we’ve seen, I don’t see them straying from popular characters not used in current MCU; regardless of how directly they are considered X-Men. Using same gender ratio as prev, I see them going with: Apocalypse / Magneto Jean Grey / Phoenix Wolverine Deadpool Storm Mystique Gambit (upcoming movie right?) Prof X My wish list roster would pull from: Mr Sinister, his power could incl choosing a die face Storm, her power could incl linking multiple powers together Nightcrawler, his power could incl avoiding damage using Bamf! Rogue, her power could be using opponent power Mystique Magik Psylocke Iceman White Queen Wolvy / X-23
I think the mix should be staple and leave specials like archangel for future sets (age of apocalypse?). I’d like to see: Wolverine - Sabretooth profx - red magneto (white mags would be great for future) Cyclops - Havok Colossus - Juggernaut And kickstart exclusive Deadpool - Cable I think this would great a good starter mix and provide some iconic nemesis battles. It also features most of the popular characters. It is missing female characters, and if I were doing replacement, I’d swap cyclops/havoc for Jean Gray - Mystique
These days anything with Marvel means the designers have run out of ideas, so they’re placing a safe bet to drain your wallet. Can’t wait to see the Star Wars expansions next, you read it first here! 😂
XComic nerd here with a focus on Claremont, Morrison, and Hickman runs... I think the dice set will be all actual mutants, and they will all go together as an era that makes sense together somehow. And with Xmen97 coming out soon, it'll be all from the cartoon run/Jim Lee era with designs from new series is my guess. Will we break the Storm wolverine cyclops jean rogue gambit paradigm? My wildcard pick is that Bishop is included, new regular in the upcoming '97 reboot! An Astonishing Xmen lineup would be popular with the masses as a non90s comic roster thats not as super over done: Cyclops, Emma, Colossus, Kitty Pryde, Wolverine, Beast. Your picks tell me we see Xmen differently. Deadpool easy #1? Yes, he's mainstream popular, but dude is merely X-Men adjacent for a first release and had to beg to be on Xforce and while he now has a Krakoa hall pass, he is not a mutant. He's wacky expansion content, not a core Xmen box charcter (unless themed tightly around Xforce or the Movies, which I doubt) Tacos and unicorns in my xmen game, no thanks. And Storm ISN'T one of the original main Xmen you think of??? Well, sure, she isn't one of the Stan Lee written O5 (cyclops, jean, iceman, angel, beast), but she WAS one of the original all new xmen roster that followed them, and was arguably Claremont's main focus in character arc growth over 16 years. She is Omega and sits on both the Quiet Council of Krakoa and Great Ring of Arrako; all hail Ororo, Regent of Sol. ps: X23 is Lara's deadname.

While I agree with your obvious, I will say there were some definite obvious of the marvel dice throne (i.e. Captain America, Ironman, Hulk) that did not get included. So who knows, maybe there will be a good mix of your two lists. I do agree though, would love to see X-23 in place of wolverine.
I am following your channel for long time because it has fast pace. Great job!! One more thing it would be appreciated if you could refrain from scratching yourself, ****, in public
If there is no Nightcrawler, then it's a hard pass ... there really is not much more they can do with battle yahtzee. Even with the Marvel characters and Santa/Krampus, the card play is pretty much the same Also, I would not be shocked if they didn't include Wolverine. They didn't give us Spiderman but Miles Morales instead ... so they'll likely give us the lame X-23.
The rest of us are having fun theorizing and getting hyped about what might happen, and you're over here finding ways to get yourself upset. You wouldn't have watched this video if you didn't like the game, so try to find some joy in it!

When you take games like Dice Throne, Unmatched, Imperium, Funkoverse, etc, their core theme is mixing and matching times/genres etc. To me Marvel was fine, but a bit bland, because all the characters coming from the same source kind of defeats the purpose. When you start releasing multiple box sets from the same source, well you've lost me. If I want a big collectible marvel mix and match game. There are plenty of those around, and the core mechanics of Dice Throne doesn't bring something noticeably better, imo. For people, like me, that liked dice throne for the multi-genre mashing, I guess I'm just going to play more unmatched and less Dice Throne now. While I can't blame them for capitalizing on the success of a license they might have access to for only a limited time, it's simply not what I like about DT, nor is it enough to make me switch from other marvel titles on the market.
There are a million different takes, and everyone is entitled to what they are looking for in a game. I feel having these heroes all from the same "universe" is great because you can easily imagine the scenario in which they might face each other -- it happens all the time in the comics for various reasons. That said, I LOVE mashing together the original heroes with Marvel stuff as well.. so I hear you. I'm sure in time we'll get more heroes of a different "universe" as well, whether that's another IP or more original heroes... who knows, but I doubt it's going to be more Marvel and XMEN forever. So, I guess it's just a matter of time! Plus, underneath the hero "themes" the mechanics are all very interesting and unique, and so even if there is a hero that I don't particular care about, I can still enjoy playing them if I enjoy their play-style. Learning all their tricks and secrets and figuring out how they play is a huge part of the fun for me. I don't really care about Santa or Krampus, but I LOVE that set.

Yeeees! X-Men!
LOVE this video. I am looking forward to more Dice Throne content as more info comes out! Really enjoying your take!
Nightcrawler and Storm were both introduced as X-Men in Giant-Size X-Men #1 in 1975. Just saying.
My list -
Professor X
Wolverine
Magneto
Jean Grey
Shadowcat or Psylock
Storm
Mystique
Angel / Dark Angel
Apocalypse ( For the missions )
The X-Men in the teaser looked the same as the X-Men for the 90’s cartoon. I hope this set is based on the 90’s cartoon characters and art style.
