I absolutely love how your board is turning out! It really is looking impressive! I'm starting to want to work on my terrain now too! ~ Wolfbrother Methos
Nice Job mate - terrain looks awesome 👍🏻 I wasn’t keen about putting my terrain on “bases” but the way you have done it looks cool so I might follow suite - thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Yeah I wasnt always convinced myself, when I started painting the parts I felt I could just clip together and play with it in any format. But I felt it missed the details that way, ground cover, barrels, ammo crates, stuff that makes the terrain "come alive". Making it as modular as poss was the happy medium to keep variety in the gaming!
Congratulations on your masterful terrain Nick, I've definitely got "Terrain Envy" lol. btw you seem to have achieved 1000 subs and deservedly so - well done on that. :>)
Yeah! The pipe kits are fun to make into interesting shapes and layouts and add some interesting focal points on the terrain itself. Makes it look "functional" and not just a way to make layered floors for models to stand on
If you have OTD, you should build some terrain for infinity. A friend of mine does not play infinity, but I do, and I gave him a copy of the rule book. He looked at the terrain rules and makes tables for the game as it scratches that itch for building really intricate terrain.
May the Gods curse you sir! They look great, and now I'm going to have to up my game. Really like the designs you've came up with. And the painting is excellent.
It's my dream that one day GW will release 40k terrain that's push-fit, like many of the Sigmar terrain sets are... so you can assemble and disassemble and store them easily instead of being glue-city monstrosities. I'd hoped the Mechanicus terrain was like lego with its little "peg" pieces that sit underneath the walkways and clip-on railings. Oh, how wrong I was.
That would be so nice right? Its either a glue city and storage nightmare, or a magnetic mess. Plug and play terrain has to be the future for those with no where to keep it all. The tile idea I adopted isn't 100% practical but kind of works for me, but like you id love a modular "lego" style!
Thank you for this guide! Been dying for some guidance on how to stretch my dollars with these beautiful kits, and this absolutely helps. Cheers!
Hey Bill, you are very welcome, thanks for watching! Enjoy that terrain!
Finally I found someone with the same obsession to keep terrain modular. Going to incorporate this system on my board. Thanks for sharing this!
I am glad you found me then! Glad I am not the only one with such an obsession, and happy you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for this. I bought all the OOP Mechanicus kits and all the ones still in print. The modularity of the kits is really waht sells this for me
Absolutely. I loved these terrain sets!!
Awesome stuff mate, very smart to put it together like this.
Cheers Wizzard! Yeah pretty happy the way these are panning out. Glad you like it too!
Nice. A topic that is not really focused on and it saves so much time. Good work.
Cheers mate, yeah you dont see many videos on modular terrain and the planning out side of things. Hope it helps some folks out!

Cheers Peter! Glad the terrain is looking good and hope it inspires your own :)
I really like how the pipes go around the platform
Yeah! The pipe kits are fun to make into interesting shapes and layouts and add some interesting focal points on the terrain itself. Makes it look "functional" and not just a way to make layered floors for models to stand on
These are my favourite terrain pieces so far. I hope to get mine to this standard one day.
Adam Edgar I am sure you will do it mate!
Looks great mate. I'm starting to get more and more into terrain
Good, you totally should! It makes such a change to just doing "army" models all the time and allows some cool creativity.
@@OldAverageBritGaming yeah mate for sure

Nice work, they look great mate.
Cheers Al, glad you like them!
They look fantastic man, only 7 subs to 1k now too!

That’s awesome to have a friend do that. Win win for both of you!

Really like the designs you've came up with. And the painting is excellent.
