Personally my favorite Ezra saber is Ultimateworks Dev-M, I've had it since august now and it really is a nice saber, it's extremly accurate to the show and makes a great display piece or something to swing around every now or then. My favorite part of the saber is defenitly the functional blaster bit, while I do wish the blaster color could be changed (its set to red) Overall I think it is the best Ezra saber on the market as of now. The saber reviewed in this video seems to be a certain take on the hilt that allows the lightsaber to be holdable for larger handed fellows, while it might be more comfortable to hold I doubt anyone is really dualing with any hilt of this style. (me included lol)
An informative review of the saber. I always appreciated that Ezra incorporated his wrist mounted launcher into his lightsaber hilt, thus truly marking it as his. On a separate note, One thing I would say is that having a non-busy close-up board, possibly of a solid color, on hand to put behind objects might help the camera auto focus faster. This might help you keep the flow of the video going, easier. Do not get me wrong - I think your backdrop is beautiful, but it is extremely busy, color-wise, and the wait time for the camera to go from focused, to blurry, to focused, to blurry, to focused was noticeable. That being said, thank you for the look at this unique saber hilt.
10:35 try twisting the saber in the opposite direction you’d do for activation and make sure it’s pointing upwards too, I have a xenopixel and about half of the default fonts had music
@@SirJamesIGamerfuzion aw man that’s unfortunate, the only other thing I can think of is that it probably has a different gesture to activate it or yours just didn’t have any programmed into it
The reason you couldn’t change the font by twisting the sabre was that you twisted it the opposite way. It has different commands depending on what way you twist it 😊
Love the xenopixel board, it's very easy to add soundfonts and customise! Do quite like how this saber turned out, nice and small and relatively to scale
I have this exact LGT Ezra saber. The silver section on the top of the blaster section is on backwards, I think they did that so it would fit in the shipping box better. You missed one more step when adding a new font. You have to open the config file on the SD card and add one line at the bottom with the new font number and the blade color and styles. Thye explain how the numbers work in the config. The manual is old and is missing stuff. One of the unlisted features is "force", which will play a sound and a light wave when you hold it up at 45 degree angle, hold the button, and twist. Do that with the Dark Ages font at least twice. Mine included 34 fonts. I was able to easily make my own font with no swing noises for the blaster mode. I put a small amount of Loctite on the screw holding in the red side switch. That allows the "switch" to move without loosening the screw. I also heavily weathered mine.
I agree, setting up Proffie for the first time was daunting. But once you've got all the software working, it's easy from then on, you can create custom blade styles on the Fett site and upload them with a USB cable.
I recently got a divergent(starkiller) blade from Imperial workshop w Xeno. Mine came with some of those fonts, but most of them have a two name catchphrases and 1 music selection. The music activates when you have the blade off and double tap the switch.
This xenopixel seems to have similar, if not the same fonts and gesture controls as one of mine. With the blade pointed downward, a sharp counterclockwise turn will change the saber font, while a sharp turn clockwise will ignite/deactivate the saber. I’ve found that these xenopixel boards have a lot of hidden features that they don’t explain much, and the small details on the gesture controls make the difference. I’ve not seen any flaw in my saber once I learned the little details to it.
I feel like there’s a few hundred RUclipsrs that all use the same room in the same house with the exact same decoration layout behind them the exact same lighting the exact same camera position everything.
Xenopixel is getting a big overhaul in the next few weeks or so to Xeno3. New board with a lot more effects, accent swings, app capabilities, and much better config management. Still doesn't beat proffie or other high end boards, but for the cheap price it's probably gonna be the best budget board.
all user error w/ the issues. do all your down gesture controls downward at an angle with your normal grip. I own proffie and xeno. If people don't want to spend the money or care to tinker with software, xeno is the way to go. Also, xeno's gesture controls are far more reliable/consistent than proffie by far. proffie v2 is outdated. hopefully people can get their hands on v3 sometime soon.
I've never been a big fan of this hilt. It's ok but just not my sort of thing. The Xenopixel is my board of choice. It is robust and sounds ok, it is very easy to use and customise and is cheaper than almost all other neopixel capable boards. It is more customisable than your video suggests as things like blade colour, blade style and ignition style ca be set up on a per sound font basis. All of these items can be set up for each sound font in the text based config file on the SD card. You don't need additional software for this you just plug the sd card into your computer and open the config file in a text editor, that's it. You can change other things in the config file to like blade length, turning individual motion controls on or off, changing the sensitivity of motion controls. It is basic, but how often do you actually use anything more than basic functions anyway. More features are nice, but how often do you use them all after the initial rush of trying them all out? Often the higher functioning boards are overkill for the average user, they never end up using the full capabilities of a proffie or CFX because all they use are the basic features, and they either don't have the time or knowledge on how to customise the boards themselves. Of course there are those in the community who are happy to deal with higher end boards for you but that usually incurs additional cost making owning them more expensive. About the only thing I would like which is on the higher end boards and missing from the Xenopixel is accent swings, but that is about to be addressed with the imminent release of the Xeno 3 board.
I hate the motion controlled activation and deactivation on sabers. Always turns the damn thing on off while fighting. Stupid gimmicky invention. Luckily you can deactivate it on almost every saber, don't know if it works on artsaber

I gave that a try on most of the fonts sadly no luck

Ezra's staple-gun - love it.
I have not been able to figure out how to add or remove fonts on proffie, but I find it very easy on xenopixel. This Ezra saber is my favorite!

Yea as much as I love proffie it’s still a pain so much so I would not be able to walk people through the process of adding fonts etc

I'm waiting on that new darksaber review!
Same here
@SirJames I Gamerfuzion love your work BTW your my favorite lightsaber reviewer keep up the good work!
Just finished rebels today and wow wow wow what an ending, can’t wait for Ashoka series.
My biggest question, because I am considering buying this...
Can it be coupled with another lightsaber to create a double-bladed saber?
I finally got my first realistic lightsaber a couple of days ago and I’ve never been happier I can barely put it down
Reminds me of the gun/laser sword combo from Ulysses 31.
So curious could you do a reveiw on damiensabers the one hilt they have it available on Amazon
Jedi
Sith
[Have entered the chat…]
That blade is heavy !
The swings 😂
Also, the reason why Ezera built that blaster feature is because of his lack of skill in deflecting blaster beams in the early seasons
It would have made sense for the replica to shoot blue pellets like toy guns
I feel like there’s a few hundred RUclipsrs that all use the same room in the same house with the exact same decoration layout behind them the exact same lighting the exact same camera position everything.
What about the blaster side of it, is it functional?
As mentioned in the video it’s just a light that shines through from the chassis and will change depending on blade color
I wonder if a saber company has made his 2nd saber
Yea seem his second saber from a few different areas
Jedi STRONG! Get yourself a red pen. 🚨
It looks like a staple gun
It’s funny how they can’t add the stun blast affect but the $30 Disney park Ezra saber has it 😂
Unrelated but that’s a dope jacket
Thanks

That will be cool to see I’ll have to keep an eye out
Dont you already have that lightsaber?

I wish I had the money for this🔥😭
You were twisting it the wrong way, it took me a bit to get used to your not alone brother.
