You are comparing 3 months with 8 months -- while you should be comparing 4 years and 3 months with 8 months. I have a law degree and now working as a senior software engineer. Pakistani unis mostly produce students who can't write code even if their life depended on it. It's about how much you love problem solving and CS.

So the point is k agr apka teacher acha hai to v acha push zaroor de de ga.
Yes i also have same story as you i also had a pre medical background but i switch my field to computer science and literally i didn't even know that what is program and how to write a single line of code but now alhumdulillah i clear my 1st sem with 3.5 CGPA and now i am able to think critically in programming due to my programming teacher❤
Sorry to mention here: But Im searching for free part-time internship in Islamabad. As I don't have a degree but good understanding of frontend I'm good in html,CSS+ tailwind, JS+react. If anyone needs such a person, I'm available .
thats why i choosed bbit from virtual university because its kinda remote university and not much bullshit of attendace just self study but exams are quiet coceptual and hard .but worth it if you know concepts .and then you can kearn skills for better placement like you can take free course on generative ai etc build your orojects seprately and deploy them also stay active on linkedin and also try freelancing cause it helps in communication with clients .also in future you can also build your compony its worthless to waste 20 lacs for degree although if you have scholarship then go for it my whole degree cost is just 160000 from virtual no scholarship roundabout 20 k per semester

Need your Advice, I have recently cleared my inter and secured a seat in Data Science UET Lahore and I felt that I am wasting my time I have taken CS50 and learned alot for free from yt but did not get that value from our so called education system. Now consequently, I just wanted to skip my studies or continue it as a formality.
Try to maintain ur CGPA atleast more than 3 if not 3.5. It will help u alot to get fully funded scholarship in USA or Europeans Countries, without ur good CGPA it is very difficult to move there or will cause u in a financial debt

The thing I know is that BSSE and CS is being taught for ages now so we can rely on that, at least universities are offering something.(especially in Pakistan) these degrees are what we should pursue cause even in this worst academic situation Universities still provide some quality as for me I was from biology background but the teacher I got in the first semester made up my mind and now I'm doing averagely good. If you want to study AI you should move abroad, for masters.
