After your hints the new SE is SPECTA. Instead of discontinue older drones they sold the license to go on. It’s a win/win situation because owners will still get batteries. DJI is not in need to care anymore but there’s still an income. Nothing chances, drone-owners are still suggesting to go with DJI if you intend to buy a product of quality.

Most people know that Autel is most famous for its vehicle scanners. A while back a sub company under the name "Otofix" that uses the same familiar Autel scanner software started up. I can't say if the hardware is the same. I suspect this is something Chinese companies are doing to sell some products at lower prices. I hadn't thought of the tariff angle but that may be at play too. I think your take on this is sound Jack.

I bought the Mini 4 Pro which other than the double camera and higher top speed is everything the Air3 is except quieter and more portable. I believe DJI is moving the Air 3 sideways in order to bring out an Air 3s or Air 3Pro. I think they are slowly learning their lesson about quick releases. One example is the Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro. The 3 Pro got left in the dust. This way they are able to deplete their stock of earlier versions without undermining their price structure. IMHO.

      @jaxturner7288 8 месяцев назад +1

@@w.e.s. of course your car doesn’t attempt to keep you from driving into Area 51, but what does?
      A fence.
Wow what a concept, maybe they could make some sort of fences to control drones so they don’t go places they shouldn’t, maybe call it a geo tec fence or something similar?
Then cars and drones could be locked or fenced out of restricted areas buy using different versions of the same thing, fences.
Oh wait that’s not a new concept?
So then, is it actually your drone itself that locks you out of geo fenced locations?
Or is it actually an electronic version of a fence that is restricting your drone’s travel, just as a chain link fence restricts where you drive in your car and the car itself doesn’t.
Besides, nothing stopping you from launching your drone from an authorized area and then flying your drone forcefully into a geo fence and seeing how far you get either.
Either way you are only hindered by the effectiveness of the fence trying to keep you out and not your vehicle or drone itself.
Without the fence in place to stop your travel you would drive right through in both situations because again, it’s a fence keeping you out. Not your drone or car.
Stay in denial if you want to but you are definitely restricted from driving your car through areas that are locked out, fenced off, restricted whatever you want to call it.
      Same same dummy.
Just like your car’s travel speed is limited by highway speed limits and road laws, not by your car itself.
      Sensing a pattern here?
Just because you buy and own something doesn’t mean you can do anything you want with it and take it anywhere it could possibly ever go.
Simply owning a car/drone/plane/boat/horse/dog doesn’t mean you can drive/ fly/ sail/ ride/ walk absolutely anywhere and everywhere those things can potentially go. With all of them you are controlled and restricted in traveling with them one way or another.
Oftentimes it’s those pesky fences of all kinds , other times it’s the local laws restricting your freedom of movement with your whatever, rarely is it that the car/drone/ boat/horse/dog refuses your commands without a good reason, malfunction or a fence in the way. 👌

Any bans for state agencies have to be approved either by said state agency, state legislature, or by an act of Congress. okay.. that's all I needed to know.. I'm not going to buy a $1000 drone with no spare parts or repair shops.... I'll build 2 FVP drones with dij cameras and goggles and save money. You can build a high-quality cinematic FVP drone for about 450 dollars USA with the ability to carry an extra camera on its back.. they are faster fly longer and can do things you'll never be able; to do with this drone... Plus MY goggles will work....lol.. Goggles make the hobby so much more fun.. I do fly DJI drones TOO.. or is it they fly me.. dang robots

Is it? It’s been shown that isn’t accurate. Also why does China care?
