Hi Lex I’m from Belfast in Ireland have been watching from the start. A fan of all the vlogs but think yours is by far the best for the reasons you outline - you’ve a great niche so keep it up! Genuine pleasure to watch
Very nice to see you in your own element there in Florida again. .. I'm a big fan of the 2 sayings" If it ain't broke don't fix it!" And also " Dance with the girl that Brung ya!" I know you said about going back to Texas and Vegas but if you're doing good on the home front and have a place to live right near where you play... Why not stay?! Keep up the good work..
I found your channel because it was suggested. Even in the first video I saw, the hand analysis was really good... basically the opposite of watching a Rampage video. It's tough for most poker vloggers who live in the shadow of Brad and Andrew. You truly do a great job and it's fun watching you play. Keep it coming man!
I enjoy watching you play either high stakes or lower stakes to be honest. I think one thing about you vs others is you are transparent and humble and you don’t let the highs get you cocky and more than that you don’t let the lows get you down and in a ditch. Keep making videos that you want to make, I think what I care about as a viewer is watching you play what you enjoy playing.
Love your vlogs and appreciate you keeping your playing style as straightforward and doing the basics right . Shows one of the best ways to win the soft money .
Lex! Thanks for putting out awesome content! It is so enjoyable to watch and see how the poker life on the road goes! And home now too! You are definitely approaching the levels of your predecessors and it is showing! Thanks and run good!
Hi Lex! I am Ashwani; live in Dubai. I have been watching your videos regularly for the past 3-4 month even though I subscribed long before that. I like to watch your stuff because I find you genuine and truthful. Nothing is made up and it’s real stuff, which is relatable. Keep it up and I would continue to watch and recommend you to my friends too. Cheers🥂, Ash!
Being some one who played for a living for 5 years and now I play about twice a month… If you’re a “professional” player then it’s always whatever your bankroll is. As a recreational player, for me at least, it’s whatever table is the most fun/talkative. In MD (Maryland Live) the 2/5 is usually the most entertaining. 5/10 is usually real boring and 1/3 there’s a lot of try hards…gotta love the 1/3 poker pros lol I play poker now for fun. Im still competitive af when I play and play the same way I did as when I played professionally, but I’m not coming to a casino to pop in headphones for 6 hours and not talk. When a higher game opens up I’ll usually put my name down, but will get up and go back down if the table is all sunglasses and headphones. Basically if I see a table with more than 3 beers in the cup holders that’s the table I want to play at..don’t care what the stakes are as long as it’s no limit.
Another great video! I always enjoy watching you play! I also enjoy how you break down hands and explain your thought process throughout your sessions!
I follow ALL the mainstream poker vlogs. A lot play higher stakes. This is still my favorite vlog. Thank you for making these. I make sure I like before I even watch them. Keep it up, Lex!
Another great video, Lex! It's fun to learn from the situations you show us. That looked like a great and disciplined fold with AA on the river. You walked through almost every hand combination he could have had, and AA beat none of them. Well done. Looking forward to the next vlog!
I appreciate the acknowledgment of your fanbase, despite not knowing us personally. I've been watching those guys (Neeme, Owen, Mariano, Rampage, etc.) for years and I think that, compared to them, you have unique style. You consistently ask questiosns to your viewers, and you respond in kind. You're also very humble about your success as a player. You've obviously watched and learned from those guys too, but you have a different flavor you bring to the table. Keep it up and you'll be at that level within the year. Big fan and I've learned a lot from watching your channel.
Carrying a big smile my man.. that was a smooth session. Respect to you showing transparency in recent move back home and your 6 weeks progress. Living a dream brother.
Congrats on your success. It's well deserved. That tournament vid for whatever reason felt intense lol like you I'm not a tourney player but it was cool to see you go deep :) keep grinding :)
Yes, we are big fans of yours! I appreciate your humility and gratitude towards your fan base. I hope you don’t mind that I watch all the way to the end just so I can see Rogue!
To answer your question, I play PLO cash for a living. It's not about ego If I can make more per hour in a smaller stakes game than playing higher stakes against tougher opponents, I'll play the smaller game everytime I don't have to prove anything to anyone, but I do have three cats to feed and they like to eat!
To answer your question at 8:45, I totally agree that you should look to challenge yourself with tougher games if you can afford it with your bankroll. Personally I am planning on sticking to 1/3 and occasionally playing 2/5.
8:45 Lex, I would guess that a balance of both makes sense; using higher levels to sharpen you, but also lower limits to both reduce variance (esp since this is your living) and to experiment with advanced concepts.
Love the Content ! I am a visual learner and I get more out of your videos than reading the pro's books. lol. AA only win about 80% of the time. which you proved to be correct!! Stay well. you're an inspiration.
Awesome content as always! Play 2-5 in Borgota here in jersey. Keep up the great stuff. Those sessions are so straight forward but lovely instead of coolers or wacky run outs in River.
always enjoy your videos Lex. Thanks for sharing so consistently and taking us on your poker journey. I look forward to seeing you break 100k views one day soon!
Yo lex. Best thing to do is keep moving up and testing yourself as well as your session win rate as well as your profit and loss win rate then when you move up in stakes if you see a significant drop in your stats move back down and then get better and try to live up again. Basically find your sweet spot as far as what limits your playing and stay in your comfort zone So if your playing 2-5 winning let’s say 75% of sessions with a 300 dollar session average for profit. Abd then move to 5-10 where your stats are. 60% with a 230 session average. I would drop back down. Just play where the stats make sense. But Definetly test yourself every so often. This is what I have done over my career and it’s served me well.
Another good video! And nice to see rogue! Had a question. Ever play 2-100 spread limit if they don't have no limit at an casino's and do you treat it the same?
Thanks as always! Love every part of your Vlogs! Rogue brings smiles to many! 😊 Keep up the good work! Stay focused, positive, and humble. Hope to say hi one day Lex. Peace!
When you had aces for the forth time and you check back on the flop. Correct call imho. Well played! As to the question about Hi v lo stakes, I think over a 12 month period it will even it self out.
Great to see you well Lex and looking after yourself...Comped Marsala is always a bonus !! . Rogue is a beauty! Re playing levels.. as a pro I would say push yourself but also don't lose sight of what makes the money I.e the recreational players. Stay well
I’ve been watching for a while now from Thailand. Glad to see you are doing good. Heading back to Canada next week and the to Vegas for the WSOP. Hope you run well there too.
I watch all of your vlogs not because I am a "Fan" but because in a weird way, you seem like a friend and I like to see my friends do well....and bad too sometimes. :) Plus Rogue is worth the price of admission himself.
Lex I just started watching your videos about a week ago I play up in Central Florida at Oxford Downs. Right outside summerfield south of Ocala. You should swing by sometime man everytime I see these videos you run like a god. We have a nice poker room.
Lex, wondered if you could do an in-depth video on bankroll management at various stakes, from 1/3, 5/10 to 10/25, including 1. adequate roll for average, non-pro players; and 2. compared with professional, full-time players. i know if varies significantly, but your opinion is all I am curious about, no hard-fast rules. Tx in adv.
Lex, I'm a tampa hard rock player that typically plays after 8 pm any night I can. The lower the stakes the more trash the ability and you have many opportunities to have profitable sessions knowing the field your up against. The reg grinder players who play for a living are some of the toughest players ever who typically play higher stakes. All in all, choose your games that you believe will give you the best edge if your goal is to be profitable long term.. On the flip side, you could have beast mode confidence and play those high stakes games and get lucky to win some massive pots! A bit of yin to the yang I suppose.
Good Question Lex, i would say if you beat the lower games with weaker opponents for about 1-2 Years and you have MINIMUM 500 Max-Buy-ins for the bigger game...THEN i would go for it bcs as you say with tougher, better opponents YOU become better with time too, nice Video again, keep up the good work :)
I know I always say it, but damn I love Rouge!!!!! He's such a great dog. #Family Great session Lex. I've been subscribed for quite some time now. We will always support you. ❤️ See you on the next one. 😎
Hi Lex, I notice when you have a strong starting hand like AA or AK, you tend to place chips on your cards which is potentially a big tell to your opponents. I would avoid doing that, or do it every time. Just what I noticed from this small sample of hands. Good luck my friend
I'd love to see more of the boring hands. the type of action where you raise and take it or what boards you cbet what boards you give up multiway. seeing only big pocket pairs that are rarely in tricky spots is less interesting
Really?🙂 Lex 30 times: "We raise - and they fold." Good intro would be: "If you came to this vlog to see intresting hands you will get a suprise - nothing happens." lol
@@embro6474 I guess I just want to see the type of sizings he uses to squeeze and with what hands in what positions. The simple stuff a new player like me is trying to learn. I'm pretty good at winning aces vs kings already
@@IconicGamers Yep you are right. In pokervlogs there is quite often a clickbait like "huge pot and aces." But usually there also has to be something intresting in hands he is playing. This is more of entertaining than poker education cos there is very few hands in one vlog. And he previously also said that he do not try to teach. Also he can not reveal all the secrets cos there are faces that come to casino often. He can not tell in vlog that someone is total fish or speak about poker tells cos those other players might also watch this vlog. I watch this vlog because Lex is very humble, genuine nice dude. This content is better than Rampage or Owen in my opinion. If you want to learn, play online poker cos there you can play hundreds of hands in an hour and stakes are minimal so your maximal lost is also small. There are couching sites that cost few bucks a month. I hope your learning curve will be great, all the best!
@@embro6474 yeah I agree. I play online and am winning at microstakes but live is so much different with all the limpers and stations it's hard for me to adjust.

You definitely run hot in Florida compared with Texas. I’d keep my ass rt there playing those same stakes and maybe make a stab in a bigger game once a month or so. Your post flop game is so strong and your finally past that stage of being a little timid about calling big bets or making big bets on the river. Your game has gotten tremendously better over the last several months. Congratulations Lex!
About to start playing 1-3 stakes at my local casino. What's the best tip for someone who has been studying up videos like these, charts, position betting but still fairly new to live cash games? I appreciate the channel!
Play tighter if you are moving up to 1/3 stakes to see how people play. Unless you’re nutted, make moves/raises/bluffs in position only unless you got the goods is my best advice until you start getting more familiar with the 1/3 play style . A tight image is a good image
@@sidviciousentertainment7339 Appreciate it. I have read up on some charts while in different positions, lead bets and things I really didn't think about when I used to play. I probably taking this way too serious, but I can't get enough of the videos of describing how to play / watching hands play out like this. I really hope to make something out of poker and honing my skills the right way to be as profitable as possible. That being said, I see a lot of hand percentages and EV. I consider myself novice since I'm making myself start from square one. Is that next level stuff with EV/percentages or does that come in time as I get more playing time / practice?
I’m new to poker somewhat. I like to play Hialeah 1-2 and magic city 1-2 . Love the vlogs and advice. I would love to get better and practice move up to 2-5 5-10 maybe. I seem to do well at the Hialeah 1-2 I usually cash out ahead but I’m worried if I move up I won’t have the same kind of luck. I don’t win lots of money in Hialeah but I love the practice and experience. Any advice on moving up in stakes ?
Love the videos man! just wondering, do I need to ask for special permission to record at coco creek? I play there few times a month and wanted to start vlogging! thanks for putting out great stuff.
Maybe a shirt with you and Rogue with your RUclips channel on it when you go to play. Also , asking the guys at the table if they watch your channel. I started going to a rock quarry in 2018. I asked for permission to hand out my business cards. I was given a trial period and I go 2-3 times a week and pass out pop tarts , peanut butter and cheese crackers , water and granola bars with my business cards. I buy the office workers Christmas gifts and somehow my cards got passed around so much I had to advertise for box trucks as well. I quit working for someone else and started my own business because of the success I was having. Market yourself when you are in any public setting is the best advice I can give on reaching more viewers and subscribers. I hope you get above the goal you have for your channel because I look forward to the uploads !
If you're pushing yourself to play higher stakes to play better competition, that's a good reason I believe. You can always find easier games at lower stakes. I've been playing more 2/5 because I actually think the games are better than 1/2 or 2/3. Although the 2/3 games in Arizona can be pretty dang good...for my bankroll anyways. Keep up the good work
I will always choose the stake that give you more money if I am playing poker for a living, it always good to have options and choose the stake depending on the players too
On that last hand where you had AA on a K 10 9 board, I think you might have been able to find a fold on the turn to a near pot sized bet. As you mentioned, 2 players were in a raised pot and the board was very wet. I don't try to do poker math, but there were an insane amount of combinations beating you there. So if you call the turn, and you're unlikely to improve, any bet is tough to call. It's so tough when you get Aces to fold there on the turn, but a right decision there would have saved ya some schmeckels. I just feel like with 2 players someone had to have ya beat.
Thanks to you guys for showing up every week to watch my videos!!
Love your videos, I’d love some merch?

Is that next level stuff with EV/percentages or does that come in time as I get more playing time / practice?
love you content Lex. I'm down here in South Florida as well, hope to meet you one day.
Lex, that was a nice disciplined fold on the river with your last pocket As in that game. 👍🏻
Love this vlog....very humble
Great video …huge fan …learned a lot from you
I’m new to poker somewhat.
Lex, an old truckers trick is to piss on your hands to "tough'n 'em up". Give it a try and see if those callouses go away. Is it from lifting weights?
Would have definitely been checking that Ace high flush on the flop, wait for someone to hit and check raise on the turn/river
I really wish that they would bring back poker to Wisconsin, really sucks brother!! AWESOME CONTENT LEX as usual!!
Keep up the good work
Lol. Love the “George Bush word” 😂
Love the videos great job!!!
Congratulations, may you keep up the run good 👍
We more than a fan base lex. We a fam base 🤟🏽
you the man lex keep playing poker you have made me a better poker player
Gotta love flopping a set of JJ’s and hear your opponent call it trips in a 5-10 game. Jesus
I will always choose the stake that give you more money if I am playing poker for a living, it always good to have options and choose the stake depending on the players too
Nice run. Always good when you get great cards to play.
Saw you on the CLP discord....nice!
cool! What is the rake rate there?
On that last hand where you had AA on a K 10 9 board, I think you might have been able to find a fold on the turn to a near pot sized bet. As you mentioned, 2 players were in a raised pot and the board was very wet. I don't try to do poker math, but there were an insane amount of combinations beating you there. So if you call the turn, and you're unlikely to improve, any bet is tough to call. It's so tough when you get Aces to fold there on the turn, but a right decision there would have saved ya some schmeckels. I just feel like with 2 players someone had to have ya beat.
Great dog! How old? What breed?
Excellent vlog 🙌
