You wanna know something that is even more tragic that most don't know when it comes to this AU? Most don't realize that Futaba is Wakaba's mother in this AU
And that Wakaba and Sojiro were in love with one another.
Well, implied anyways.
They call kids who lose their parent/parents orphans to show the pain they went through.
But there is nothing to call a parent who loses a child, because nothing can describe the pain.

I... yeah, I kinda agree with Sojiro. Yes, you want to help them... but at what cost would that come? The Meta-verse is unknown in a lot of ways to them, so they don't have any idea what would happen if they tried using on someone who actively WANTS it to be used on them.
Now, in the original Persona 5 I'm betting there wasn't much conflict. They didn't really know Futaba that well at that point, so they don't exactly have too much to lose and possibly a lot to gain.
But here... the script has been flipped, they had possibly a lot to lose and little to gain. Futaba could have lost herself in the Change Of Heart and could have never gone back to normal. Sojiro here had a lot to lose, he's been there for a long long time... five years with a person that goes through that kind of thing changes someone greatly.
His fear is completely and utterly justified, it could go wrong if they don't have a guarantee that things will work out.
All of that aside, this is some brilliant writing right here. I could tell Sojiro was serious about the situation and the words fit the context here, the voice acting is amazing (I saw Revtrosity in the credits there, one of my favorite voice actors on the internet honestly) and in general, the scene did have those Persona Vibes that I've come to love.
Well done guys... well done.
What I love most, other than the voice acting, is that it shows a side of Sojiro that we barely see. Rage is a wonderful emotion in writing when used right, especially in normally relaxed or level-headed characters

the emotion expressed in this was portrayed very well, I felt the yelling, and sadness in both their voices, and you can feel the tension build up as if you were there watching Sojiro and Sadayo talking face to face. This was special, and really did give life to the comic so, thank you for another amazing comic dub!

Wakaba and Sojiro were childhood friends. Futaba is Wakaba's mother. From what I understand Sojiro's parents helped drive Wakaba to some outing and something caused an accident. They all died; I can't remember if Sojiro was in the car too and survived or if he learned after the fact, but regardless Futaba fought to attain legal guardianship of Sojiro afterward.
After seeing this comic, if we don’t eventually end up with a Royal-Story Arc where Wakaba comes back to life and becomes their Violet, I’ll be surprised/disappointed

I think it was confirmed by the Author that the Violet of their group is Maruki
Actually, Maruki is their equivalent to Violet. I’m assuming that Ren will be this AU’s Maruki
But because Shido is CLEARLY the asshole and everyone knows he’s an asshole jock, I wonder how his story would parallel Akechi’s (at worst, if he’s still alive in the final stages after Sojiro’s arrest, Masayoshi may just end up becoming a prisoner and that this AU’s Goro could fill in the Sae role alongside Makoto seeing as how he’s a nice guy here and not as unstable as his canon self)

From what I remember, AU Goro is idealistic but soft hearted, rendering him as an ineffective politician similar to canon Yoshida. AU Shido saw Goro’s soft hearted ness as weakness so basically wanted to be the opposite since he’s still interest in politics.
The Voice acting is always on point in this channel. Gotta love it!

Why is this so good, like honestly that performance of Sojiro's was so entrancing, it was so natural, great job.
I know that this is “piggeybacking” off of the premise of the base game. But the subtle change that they add of the PT being cautious of who’s heart they change because they don’t know if the change of hearts make their targets actually aware of their actions and change accordingly or makes them become mindlessly apologetic for what they done while not actually learning a lesson makes the writing for this comic a 10/10
Also I like sojiro more than joker because they make him a character with flaws but the obvious reason is joker is a silent protag written by a corporate writing staff and teen sojiro is written by a committed fan
This was a really good comic dub I almost shed a tear of how sad it was where them to argue. Great job on your work I hope you and your team continue to do great things

This was amazing on all ends. The voices, the emotion in the writing. The characters personalities showing through. The music. Actually fantastic. Makes me want this to be the game since nothing really like this come up in og persona 5. Or royal. There are deep thoughts and two ideals clashing but never something that hits this close and hurts someone so much to the point of refusal. (No sai and ockomera (sorry i don't remember how to spell it I'll fix it later) don't count since both mako and haru knew that they're love ones needed this. And the third semester is more about never having hard ships there out right facing something like this) this makes me wish we got a modern persona game where the main was this emotionally attached to someone

Sorry I'm a dumb. But what is Sojiro's and Futaba's relationship in this AU? Is Sojiro's Futaba's adoptive son or is it more a Joker/Sojiro relationship from the original game? Again this AU is pretty good. But I'm just confused on their relationship here
In this, I think Futaba is meant to be Wakabas mom and Sojiro and Wakaba are childhood friends. But I could be wrong I’m pretty new to this AU

Ok so I’ve been watching random videos of this and what I’ve gathered so far is that instead of the mc’s we have in p5 we have the adult confidants and things as the phantom thieves (sojiro isstead of ren, wakaba instead of futaba) is this correct?
Close, though I think they implied Wakaba, while indeed would have been age swapped, still died with Futaba grown and alive
