Hi! I've been hearing the dreaded fuel pump whine for a while now and thinking of upgrading to DW200. Is it good for an almost all stock BK2 2.0T? just did full exhaust and CAI and nothing else.
Thank you. This minimized my fears of how this upgrade goes. And at your expense, I know to make sure I get all the pieces that they say you're supposed to get before I start.
Great video and easy to follow. Just like to add a couple of steps....after disconnecting the electrical connector to fuel hat, crank the car until it won't crank anymore to burn off some fuel and relieve fuel pressure. Then disconnect negative battery post.
Haven’t ran into any problems with this pump ? I’m fighting a p0193 code and I replace the oem fuel pump with this pump. Now I get longer crank and no start at this moment.
@@thecarladyautomotive Replace high pressure fuel pump, fuel rail sensor, and filter. My car won’t start at all now. I will probably be going back to a new oem fuel pump. I didn’t have time to do the work myself. So I trusted a mechanic to install the fuel pump. They told me that they had problems getting my car started after installing it. But finally got it started. Maybe it’s just a bad pump. I don’t know. I just hate I’m dealing with my p0193 code. Now I’m left with electrical issues
@@jharedfrederick7197 did this issue and code come up right after installing the fuel pump? The code is for “Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input” which kind of makes me wonder if it has something to do with replacing the high pressure fuel pump. I know this may sound dumb but was the connector secured correctly on the high pressure fuel pump?
Subd and liked. Will be installing a dw300 later today, this video helped a lot better than those other dudes who didn’t know what they were doing lol thanks
Just got a2013 2.0t third day having it 66thoudand miles engine light came on said code for omission omission fuel leak or something and then when I got gas tonight the car about died then when I shut my door or open it with the handle I mean the window goes down
Noooo! Okay so I started installing before I found out I didn’t have the connector and they wanted me to send pictures of the packaging and everything that was in the package. My packaging was long gone by the time I found out so I wasn’t able to get a replacement connector. So what you should do is reach out to the company you bought it from before you start installing and then they can talk you through what they need from you. Who did you buy it from?
Nicholas Zepeda, so I actually ended up creating my own concoction because I was never able to get the connector. I used a couple of pin connectors and crimped them onto the wires with gasket maker on the outside to prevent any arching if the ends happened to touch. This definitely isn’t the route that I wanted to go but it was my last resort. It’s a super easy bypass though if you run into the same issue I did. I still have my fuel pump hooked up this way and I haven’t had any issues.
Chelsea Dodge so i got a dw300 and i just put it in and i originally had wanted to change it cause i belive the fuel pump was messed up so i was like might as well upgrade and before i changed it it would crank for a while then turn over really weak and now i put this new one in and it doesn’t even turn on at all i went and bought a fuel hose to connect from the new pump and i connected that and i even got the company to send me the connection for the pump but the thing with that wire is is the external ground i think (the brown one) didn’t come with the wire they sent me so i soldered it to the black like it was on the original connector like i just don’t see what i could’ve done wrong after i cranked it a couple times i went and there wasn’t even any pressure built up when i disconnected the first two connections on top of the assembly. if you could maybe text me with help and so i could ask a couple questions my numbers 760 998 7074 i’d really appreciate it
Good, informative video Chelsea 😊 Sucks about the connectors and hardware, especially when the fuel pump and basket is already out haha. I’m guessing the car smelled like fuel for a bit 😜 But good job on rigging something up to get it back in after!
Thank you! I was super bummed about not having the connector because, like you said, everything was torn apart already 🤣 but that was my bad not checking to make sure everything was there that I needed. Surprisingly enough, it didn’t smell too strongly of gas once I finished the job! 😁 but thank you, I appreciate that!
Great job. Ive seen mixed review of them giving out. Much success to your channel
Thank you so much!

Thanks for sharing those tips!
Hello Chelsea, a question is it not necessary to install any extra relay for that gasoline pump, did it give you any faults?
I don’t think it’s necessary for an extra relay, I haven’t had any issues with it at all!
@@thecarladyautomotive Thanks
I didn't get mine either
I’m installing the dw300 for my ls swap buuuuut ran into same issue where I wasn’t given the fuel lines or the connector

I haven’t run into any issues, the pump has been amazing actually! But what else do you have done to your Genesis?

What made you change ur fuel pump???
How hard can it be to include all the parts you purchased? Slack company. Check out QFS.
Much better.

when you said your said something, what was that sound like, it was in that location where the pump is thanks
did you tune your car for the new pump
Forunately I didn’t have to! But I do plan on tuning it shortly after a few more new parts.
What exactly does this do?
I ordered from the same place and then didn’t give me the connector and fuel line 😢. What did you tell them for them to give it to you.

I just wanted to upgrade my fuel pump, there was nothing wrong with the stock one but I needed something to do to my car 😆
