Love Singapore. Been there a few times both when I lived in UK and then more recently when I was based in the Philippines. Lovely place. Great food and lovely people. I will return.
Once this whole covid fiasco blows over, do come back!
we have Hatten garden here in london, but the prices are just too expensive because of the rent. Nice to see a whole shopping centre fullfed with watches, would love to visit.
Thank you for your kind words!
Hi. Can you find grey market Rolex and Patel in Hatton Garden pls? Could you suggest specific shops there. Thanks loads!
Damn...! Thank u !
Waiting too long for the AD to get back to me...
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I think one grey market shop have more watches on display than all the Asia Rolex ADs combined.
You are absolutely right unfortunately… sign of the times
Cool video, what’s the name of the shop with all the Patek Philippe watches?
Greetings from Canada! I Remeber travelling to Orchard Road in my teens and twenties! Can't wait to go back to Asia!
Thank you for watching! travel lanes are opening up as we speak, do drop by :)
@@watchjelly would love to see more videos of where the best reliable places are to buy watches in Singapore.
@@mahirhaque1801 ahh I wish I could, but I just moved to Hong Kong for work. Will try to show this side of HK as well :)
AD always have watches…they go out the backdoors
Great Video - Certainly don't have to worry about wearing that beauty here 👍
Your Daytona looks incredible!
Thank you! 🤪🤪
These flippers have more watches than the actual ADs. Says the whole story what Rolex and ADs are doing hand in hand.
Thanks for the vid, been there the last time I was in SG. Looking back wish I had made some purchases at that time.
You are welcome! Please subscribe and continue to watch this space! Cheers :)
So is a grey market a clone market? Looking at the prices, some of those Rolex options surely aren’t 2k?!
Wow😀
Thanks for the tour!!!
You are welcome!
Most of the hot selling luxury watches, you can find in these 'grey shops' which located in the non primary malls.. you can see the watch industry trajectory.. long run its not ideal
very much ideal, you just got to know where to buy and sell
I wish I could find Rolex’s for sale like that here in the USA. Every AD only has Rolex watches for display 😮 no sale. You have to wait 1-2yrs in the hopes you get picked. I’m still waiting 😢
watch exchange is great shop imo
I absolutely agree!
I'm planning on buying the yacht master everose gold from there next week. Do you know grey market richard mille shops?@@watchjelly
Yes. In the video J Pendulum does carry a couple
bro i got a tudor root beer gmt recently in sg, so im eyeing the AP vampire championtime has, but it has aftermarket diamonds so does that mean its fake according to watch experts?@@watchjelly
Wow I’m not sure man.. for diamonds I suggest going to AP directly and asking them
check out mandarin gallery as well. they got some pretty cool pieces like mb&f for sale!
Thanks Watch Jelly for the nice video. where do you buy your watch at Far East? of all the various store you showcase, you buy at Watch Exchange? First important its not fake…
I buy from several places - watch exchange happens to be one of them.. I suggest doing your own due diligence & find a place that you find comfortable with
Nice video 👍👍👍
Thanks!!
Enjoy
Thanks for sharing.. is the price up a lot of pin 2022?
They are not official dealer. How do we know if the shops sell genuine watch ?
Would you recommend someone from Canada to travel to Singapore to purchase a watch at a cheaper cost on the grey market?
Thanks for sharing. Wondering are there wiggle room for price negotiation with these grey market watch dealers?
Don’t think there’s a specific room to nego to apply to all shops. It’s a case by case basis if any
Just shows you no shortage of Rolex sports watches been watching a man in Hong Kong every watch shop had lots of Rolex sports watches the lack of them is not true they are just going to the grey market just stop paying over the list price and that will end it 👍😂😂
Awesome job 👍👍👍
Appreciate the kind words!!
What is department store name ?
Far East plaza
Got recommended your video, subscribed after watching this. Good content sir
thanks!! Appreciate the kind words :)
This is in SGD btw!
appreciate the clarification, im residing in singapore anyway!
Can explain the price in Australian dollars please
How does this place compare to the one in Bencoolen? Seems like the more well known ones are in bencoolen
I don’t think we can generalise. In terms of being “well known” that’s pretty subjective as well, given that I know these shops at Far East better.
So are these clones? I’m a bit confused.
Just for comparability, how much is a Rolex Pepsi or Starbuck (brand new condition, 2021) going for in those shops?
Pepsi would be around 31,000 SGD / 23K USD
wondering if there any reputable shops buying rolex pieces in singapore?
Yes, you can go geylang lorong 1
Hi…
All these watch stores sell authentic watches ryt?
Are these authentic Rolex watches ?
How are the retail prices for these Rolex watches? Are they selling it at Rolex recommend retail prices or is there room for some bargaining?
Secondary market prices. Why would they sell it at retail prices 😂😂
AD selling to grey market
where is this place
Please read the description
So full new set with retail price? Just no warranty card and official warranty from rolex, right?
Full set means warranty card with official warrant from Rolex. But you won't be paying retail price of course.
@@donald1983 oh so what's the catch? Normally grey market set has no rolex warranty. That's my understanding. And can you recommend any reputable shop? Thanks
The catch is that you’ll be paying the grey market price which can sometimes be double of retail or more. You can request for full box and papers
@@watchjelly I see. Looks like they are not like Jomashop then. Thanks anyway.
Pateks in wrapper, wow.
Gonna stick to Japan for choice and money!
Certainly if you’re there!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video, you make my eyes full of excitement 🤗😍just sub you and will definitely watch more video of you.
Thank you for the kind words!!
Wow, some prices are so high compare to Thailand
these are in SGD btw. So the prices here should be divided by 1.36 to get the USD prices
Anyone buying there is acting against his own interests.
There a lot 2nd hand shop in People’s Park Complex
The grey markets is SIN is not as dynamic as in HKG.
You’re probably right. But the prices in HK are marked up higher. Even a protective film coating RX8 for Rolex sports models are double the prices in HK
Need to sue Rolex for selling those watches to gray watch dealers
Lol. Good luck with that.
Hello, I am interested but I would like to know if they are guarantee that watch that you purchase are genuine. It it is not Singapore, but from a different country. I heard from people. They will show you the genuine one, but when they put in the bag they switch the fake one in the bag. I am wondering how trustful it is to purchase the luxury watched in Singapore?
This is a question not the accusation!!!!
Watch serial number is engraved in the ‘Rehaut’ of the watch which matches the serial number on the warranty card. You can all head to a watch shop to authenticate (Singaporeans know of 2-3 very reputable ones in the country)
Last resort, you can head to to Rolex AD/ boutique. Sometimes the watch is even sold domestically in Singapore.
Plenty of ways to authenticate
@@watchjelly hey dude, if ADs have stock would be interesting to see what they have in your area 🤔
What is the name of the shop, with all the rare Patek Philippes displayed on the front? (It is at the 2:45 minute mark)
Kim Watch
Damn dude you found out where all the Rolex are hiding👀👀
HAHAHAHAHA I wouldn’t claim that credit but thanks?! 😂😂😂
Real watches or copies ?
Real of course!
Are you showing us watches or not??? How can we appreciate the watches when you don't even focused on it for 1 second???😱😱😱
Lmao
Honestly, this is just sad. I want to own a Rolex but I've promised myself that I would never buy one from the grey market (and definitely not at 2x the retail price). I've been on multiple "interest lists" in Singapore stores for over two years, but after watching this, I'm sure that I won't ever get one because I can see where all the watches end up going.
That being said, huge shout to the folks at Grand Seiko, I honestly think you guys are doing a wonderful job, and your watches are 10x better than Rolexes.
You wanna play, your gotta pay. Put up or shut up.
@@justmeeagainn Pay scalpers, sorry but no
Demand supply don't be so sad
@@wampawu you’re correct - most demand is by money launderers as seen in the news recently
બાદશાહ
Are they REAL ? TY
Yes why would they not be?
Doesn’t anyone fell uncomfortable buying from such shops, what if they have changed some parts. China makes such good fakes.. also the whole buying experience from boutique is out of the window.
Well, I think most customers go for watches with full box and papers. And these businesses require the proper paperwork to set up shop… crossing the road to a huge mall with many Rolex ADs does help in authenticating :)
@@watchjelly correct, however the debate is here that the parts inside+ the experience
The ad will not open the watch unless you send it for service.
I believe this is just boils down to trust factor.
Rolex and “ others” are trying very hard to stay relevant in the time of apple watch by doing all this hide and seek but thats only just one way to look at it..
@emoh898 exactly my point- soo much headache and still you are not sure..
Exactly, not like your getting a good deal there, the prices are still way over retail. Easy pass for me
If you got Rolex It is time to sell Rolex to expensive now paying for three Rolex watches only get one watch in the secondary market crazy price not for me
lmfao im always in far east plaza, not alot compared to what i see in HK
Oh yea thats for sure! Watchjelly may or may not be heading to HK in the near future :)
They are some seriously overpriced Rolex watches! 80-90% over what I would have expected in the US, yet Singapore used to be a great shopping city. Doesn’t say much about the shopping savvy of Singaporeans!
Please make sure that you divide these SGD prices by 1.37, if you’re looking at USD prices
You must be a really a special kind of savvy to make such a comment without considering exchange rate. If the market here is 80-90% more than the US, half of us would be shipping watches in from the US and ill be a multimillionaire by lunchtime tomorrow.
@@watchmesucceed661 I did s simple thing. I opened up XE Currency converter, plugged in the numbers shown on the watch box in the window and compared them to US, AUD, British Pounds. You guys are being wildly overcharged. But, I’m sure there’s a certain entrenched sensibility of, “look how expensive my watch is. I must be a stylish, hi-so kinda consumer”. And as if anyone over say, 18 needs to be reminded that dollars ain’t dollars in the 21st century.
Bro how u know these are real
Gotta do your homework!
All of these are fakes ?
You’re joking right?
@@watchjelly yes :)
Well it is illegal to sell fake items in Singapore especially branded items. Punishment jail and fine. If you worry your item is fake can get it done here luxury authentication service with certificate
@@pereirakelvin67 Thanks - good to know.
bad edit
Thanks :)
