@@onode797honestly, if this was an actual scored fight, tank would still win of defensive points, Haney only connected 4-5 shot in each round. Tank was in full control of that fight and only walked down on Haney 2-3 times the whole fight. Ryan had a point when he said Haney has pillow hands, it just wasn't effective.

I think the training session was for haneys offense and for tank to learn to take punishment and overcome. Adversity training. Clearly tank was the more dominant fighter whenever he wanted or when allowed. I feel they were focused on two different aspects of boxing for each fighter. Not necessarily a real sparring session.

I fought Tank in amateurs back in 2012. Back then he was called "Lil Tank"
His name wasn't called Tank because he will, as you said, "eat all of those shots." He was given that nickname as a teenager because he would steam roll over dudes bigger than him. He had way more head movement back then because he didn't hit as hard.

I can't get over the fact that Devin Haney CANNOT inflict damage at all.. It's like he invested 0 points into his power stats
He did damage to Regis (a very rough fighter) had loma face messed up (not saying who won) mess kambosos up..he has power. Maybe not enough to fight a mentally challenged dude that comes in purposely overweight n on PEDs but all of his other opponents respect his power
and the fact that haney comes in fight night a middleweight but still couldn't knock most of his opponents out, also says he wants an even playing field in an ESPN interview SMDH, there's a documentary where he tells his opponents during face-off "you're too small!" multiple times, dude purposely comes in over the agreed upon weight limit to gain an unfair advantage, regis even had that in the contract but haney went over 155 during fight night

I think boxing has a long enough round, long enough mins to allow tank's style to play out in any match. I think we are looking at a very rare fighter.

The peke saying that Haney is a bad style match for Davis don't understand what they're seeing. This sparring is in 16oz gloves with headgear and people were jumping in and grabbing Tank when Haney got in trouble. Take all of that away and a puncher like Davis knows that he'll be able to weather whatever Haney is throwing to land at will to the body and head. It won't take a lot of those to change the fight - as we saw with Ryan. Ryan's dad made the same point before the Garcia/ Haney fight. Ryan and Devin had fought six times in the amateurs. Ryan's dad said that Ryan made Devin have to get a standing eight count in those heavy gloves and headgear. He was hinting that without headgear, Ryan would KO Devin. He wasn't very far off in that assessment. The danger defensive issues that Devin had then, Devin still has now. A real fight with 8oz gloves and no headgear is a terrible match for Haney. He would get walked down and mauled and then stepped on in a corner...just like Frank.

There's a difference between bear hugging someone, and clinching someones arms. In boxing, it's illegal to bear hug, but you can clinch an arm, and if the other is free, then you work on the inside. Otherwise, the ref breaks up the wrestling to proceed boxing. You can not hold your opponent's waist and punch that's illega. You can not duck your head under the waist thats also illegal. The less of boxer a fighter is, the more dirty they fight. Hugging ducking and pot shotting
